the price of getting vinyl pressed varies. Most places start at $1400 for a run of 100, not including hidden fees such as acetate copy, artwork,test pressing, ect. My band got a short run of 20 for $400. I did have to also pay an additional $30 for center label artwork....We sell them for $20 but at our shows we sell signed copies for $25.Not much of a profit but the fun of having vinyl of your own music is pretty cool!
I started collecting vinyl in 2020 and stopped last year because of the prices. Anyway, I sold off most of it and the money I got was insane. I literally started auctions at $1 and would end up getting 3-4x what I paid for.
Man, I have been buying cassette tapes lately. I recently put my last album out on cassette because I've been kind of obsessed with them. I have a record getting pressed this year, too. I'm very worried about the pressing times.
@chestyvulva back in the day ( 90's) we mostly used United out of Tennessee. For this one, in the band I'm in now, Mystic Records the lable is taking care of it. I think they are using a plant out in California.

True, for me it never feels like a real release until the vinyl version comes out. But dang if the younger crowd loves their streaming.
Jurrasic Park soundtrack, excellent. I just bought the first edition book $150. Great read, music, movie, etc.
I'd love to get a first edition JAWS. I remember going to see the original Jurassic Park on a date with a very psychotic girl...those were the days. 😅
