Been there TWICE! So I feel your pain.
Twice!? What happened?
First time I showed my rookie skills and left my black tank rinse open. The water over flowed through the toilet. Second time my son left the water faucet open in the bathroom and we left for a couple of hours. We came back and there was water over flowing.
Yikes, hope there is no permanent damage
We got it dried out pretty well, I think we are good

Sorry that happened. We do the same... never leave the rig without turning off the water and I turn off the water heater as well. I know its a pain to do especially when we come back and I forget to turn it back on. I also put the awning in because I've too many damaged by a freak storm or high winds/rain.
We've always be good about the awning, but never thought about the water. Sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way! Thanks for watching.

I feel for you.
It can’t even be communicated how many ways there are for so many things to go so wrong with our campers!
But hey, Yellowstone is frickin awesome! The thermal features make you feel like you’re on another planet.
We use to have a cabin cruiser we kept on a big lake. I’d say to my wife “let’s go for a boat ride” she’d hear “Let’s go hit some rocks”! At least with a camper you lessen the chance of drowning!
