Organizing My Home Garden in Memphis TN 2023
I'm checking on my home garden. I have some plants on my balcony that I hope will make it through this first blast of ice and cold in 2023. Here in Memphis, TN we are getting ice and snow. The storm is supposed to stretch all the way to Texas! We're in for a COLD and ICY couple of days! Let's check on my balcony garden and see how it's doing in this weather.

The Sky is Crying #JusticeforTyreNichols Memphis, TN
Tyre Nichols was brutally murdered by members of the Memphis Police Department's Scorpian Unit during a routine traffic stop in Memphis, TN. The release of the police body cam footage and sky cam video shows the horrifying and tragic way this young man suffered at the hands of the police. Black and Brown people suffer violence disproportionately by police than any other group in the US. Police violence and Police brutality must end. NOW.
On my community tab just a few days ago I shared these words...
As a Mom and person living in the Memphis area who grew up in the Mid-South, my heart is breaking 💔 What happened to Tyre Nichols should NEVER have occurred. The way Tyre was treated with undue violence, inhumane, and lacking in due process and human dignity is just plain disgusting. My heart goes out to Tyre’s Mother, friends, and family. In Tyre’s last moments less than a few feet from his home, he cried out for his Mother like George Floyd. Tyre asked the police, “What did I do?” after being pulled over for a minor traffic violation and was brutally beaten and murdered by the Memphis Police task force unit Scorpion 🦂
There is too much violence, suffering, and grief in this world 🌎 right now. Police violence against black and brown people is much higher than any other group in the US. This must end. NOW.
As you protest, please bring the light 💡 of peace 🕊️ with you. May justice be served to the fullest extent of the law.
