What are you favorites to grow in March and what else do you like to grow in March that I did not mention in the video?
Hi, how do we determine tomoto is determinant or not, can you please share? Thanks
I’m so excited to garden this year..last year in Texas it shot up to 100 degree plus days starting in May I believe. It was oppressive and I couldn’t even garden in the early morning because of the humidity. Here’s hoping for some REASONABLE weather and some fun harvests! Thanks Jag!
You can grow these in high heat: ua-cam.com/video/RhXmvb7fyL8/v-deo.html
Good luck with your garden. We hv 93 temp on Monday but 63 high on Thursday 😒 I'm only sampling with few seeds until temps get stability. 2 of 7 marigold seeds sprouted. None of 4 bell pepper ☹
As always, tons of invaluable info, and and not one wasted syllable. LOL. I so appreciate you, Jag. You help so much!
Thank you so much for being so thorough and getting straight to the point 😊🌱
I just picked my last tomato this week from last season....
thank you for just getting to the point!!! Great direct information!!!
I love the rain gutter for transplanting fussy seeds!
Thank you so much Jag! You are always giving amazing info and reminders on time! I would like to visit your farm one day and meet you in person!
So beautiful to see Lily in the background… ❤❤❤
Another good one. I always like how you refer to the different growing zones for sowing dates.
Thx for the planting instructions. All good info, all different veggies & schedules. I'm saving this video 👍
Thank you so much for all the tips and advice on how to start the germination process for certain seeds.
Fantastic video. Thanks Jag
Thank you for your video, I always learn so much from you and you are such a positive person. Thank You!
Thank you for this video. So helpful
Wow , your videos get me excited to work in my garden !!!
Great video. Thanks!
Thanks Jag!
Well, you have really inspired me all the things I wanted to know you have touched on. I will be spending a lot of time out in the garden and I was so excited to hear about the sweet potatoes because I absolutely love them and wanted to plant some so I’m glad to know I still have time to get started. Thank you again so much. It makes it easy because I am also in zone nine I live in Upland California.
Super informative!
Thank you so much. I usually have already started seeds outsode in trays with domes but we have had really strange weather. I'm 9b and we have had random days in the 50's when we are usually in the 70s
You’re genius sir, thank you so much!
Thank you for this very comprehensive list and growing techniques. This is very informative and useful.
I'm finally starting vegetable gardening, and I'm so excited to start growing things!! Thanks for the video.
Do it! Build the garden!
Great information very helpful. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing 😀
Another excellent, helpful video, thanks so much.
I just love your videos!! So much information in a simple to understand way!!😊
Glad you like them!
Very helpful information - especially about the potatoes.
Thank you for the information and training.
thanks for the info. I never knew the more eyes on a potatoe the smaller the potatoes will be.
Excellent Thank you Blessings
🎉🎉 Thank you 🎉🎉
You have the best teaching/informational videos. Thank you.
Wow, thank you!
Thank you very much jag Singh sir for giving us such a great information about the 20 seeds that we can grow in the march season sir 👋😃👍👍👍👌👌👌🍰🍰🎂🎂🙏🙏🙏🎁🎁🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🇮🇳🇮🇳🌹🌹💐💐
Very informative and helpful.
Excellent sharing
Thank you, very informative video and easy to understand
I tested sweet potato slip growing in water vs laying down half-in soil and had much better and higher production of slips in soil.
Ty for sharing that info.
Thank you. I'm in Zone 9b/10a. I think I started many of the vegetables that you mentioned a week late.
Wow nice sharing👍
Thank you
I didn’t know that about the eyes on a potato! Limiting them gets you larger taters!
Great informative video. 😀
Terima kasih. Bertani itu menyenangkan. Aku suka menonton vidiomu sampai selesei.
Very informative video , that what I have been looking for. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
U been amazing help ! ❤ 🇨🇦
Very useful video thank you 🙏🙏
Glad you liked the video!
Need to get busy !
I am in Australia,in the western state. We are entering our Autumn and whilst we are still very warm 33degrees Celsius.
I have a raised bed and I am in the process of bringing in the winter vege. I have already grown some tomatoes and Capsicumms duting the summer.I would like to grow Potatoes, capsicums tomatoes and lettuce. If possible white onions as they are very hard to come by. I do understand that they take some time, can I plant them close to my potatoes? I am a new gardener, especially as to the raised bed concept.During our summer they are in the sunlight, I do not know the sun in the winter.
What I really want to know is what I can plant without resorting to adding to straw etc: to the bed and that before I can plant anything in my bed. My reasons are that as a pensioner I cannot outlay a lot of money to receive nothing in return.
I have a bin that I keep all of my Vege scraps in,can I dig them into the garden just a few days old, I hate the smell of Vege rotting.
I have a bin in which I put all of my scraps into, but it starts to break down within a few days, can I dig these into my garden, even after I have planted some Vegetables. I look forward to your answer.
I live in MN (zoom 4 I think ) we can’t plant until May 15 , but when would be a good time to plant tomato seed in side ? March is usually we get lots snow and April is still really cold! use to be but we are having different weather this year so can’t tell 🤷🏼♀️
Could you please advise, what to grow , when to grow in tropical countries . Thanks
You are awesome. I hate lengthy forever talk videos!! And your videos are focused and informative. I also like to share an experience with you which might encourage you to make a video and share recommendations with us. I have bunch of Eucalyptus trees outside of my property (can not cut them or burn them!) and sever tree root invasion inside my wooden and Birdies raised beds (I have 20 of them). Digging a trench around the property is not an option (my land is not flat). Commercial weed barriers do not work either (I tried and failed!). I am researching galvanized steel, corrugated sheet metal panels, and Aluminum flats, but these metal panels have the maximum wide of 4 feet and I need 4.5 X 4.5 feet. I am desperately seeking your advise. Thank you.
What is you linseed oil (use raw) to seal the wood and then make your custom raised beds.
Linseed oil? We are talking about Eucalyptus tree roots invasion! Linseed oil definitely
does not work. Please note, I need a solution for raised beds bottoms. @@DaisyCreekFarms
Iron phosphate to get rid of ear wigs, I never heard that. I'll be trying that this year, those pesky things get in my corn and ornamental flower pots. How about sow bugs? they also invade all my pots, any tips on keeping them out?
How frost tolerant are newly sprouted spinach and radishes? Mine have just broken through the ground and it is supposed to be @30 F tonight.
You really can’t go by zone for planting, only by last frost date. I am zone 7b but my last frost date is after May 15th till June 1. Many other gardeners I know in the same zone have much earlier last frost dates. They are different and mean different things. Zone has more to do with lows and highs of your area that a plant can’t withstand. Zone Determines if it’s a perineal or annual in your zone.
Thanks for pointing this out. That's why I also state frost date in the video. For example, plant this after your last frost, or sow these seeds 2 weeks before your last frost.
I live in Virginia. How do I find out what zone I'm in. Thank you.
You didn't mention zone 8 for growing tomatoes. Thanks
What is best way to grow mini red potatoes?
Could you suggest how to grow pigeon peas (Tuver in Gujarati) from dry seeds. I tried starting with small seeds pot to be transfer to ground . But never sprouted.
Jag! I'm in Zone 3!🥶
best channel
Sir, is it applicable in India ( south ) ?
I planted kale, brussel sprouts, spinach, peas and swiss chard. Last week, I don't know if it was possum/ squirrel or some other creature that ate all my plants and left my garden bare ... leaving me depressed. I also see two burrows in my vegetable garden. How do I handle this😟? How do I assure this does not happen in future ? I want to plant again and don't want my plants eaten away like this. Please guide.
Moles or gophers if you see burrows or tunnels. There are two ways you can tackle this. 1. put a wire mesh screen at the bottom of your garden then add soil on top. 2. Use snare traps in their holes, unfortunately this kills the moles or gophers :(
Get several cats 🐈
@@DaisyCreekFarms Will try surely try this. Thanks so much for your prompt response!
@@figtree393 Thanks!
Or a " rat terrier", they are little dogs, but mighty. They were bred for it.
With the potatoes, do you trim the lower leaves when adding more soil?? Or just add soil?? Please and thank You!! ⚘️🪴❤️🤍💙
Trimming is not required. You can just add soil. Trimming and then adding the soil may make the trimmer branches come in contact with the soil and may introduce disease.
My last frost day is May 15 even though I’m in zone 7b to 8a
How does this happen? Micro Climate?
@@DaisyCreekFarmsI'm in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas USA zone 8A. We'll hv a high temp of 93 in 2 days but high of 63 on Thursday. Crazy weather indeed.
How big of a grow bag should I use to grow zucchini?
5 gallon or 15 liter will do
I’m still learning but my vegetables I planted in fall never grew 😢
Unfortunately, the tips don't work well for the south east, where we more than likely will go from a late frost hitting, to extreme heat and humidity in the same week! I take my chances with potatoes and onion sets the end of February. I start the cabbage also.
We thought we lost our orange tree but its starting to come back very fast!
Awesome! Yea, they do not do well with freezing temperatures
Singh sahab which italian vegetables you will recommend to grow in Pakistan and india .? You know italian vegetable varieties are pretty unique unlike our desi vegetables
Grow italian basil, parsley, onions, and many varieties of tomatoes
@@DaisyCreekFarms I’m talking about vegetable’s seeds ti sow in March
Vinegar washes through the soil quickly, so don't count on that as a logical solution to acidify.
please tell when to plant Indian gaurds in zone 9. Luffa, ridge gaurd, tinda, lauki, bittergaurd, snakegaurd etc
Direct seed a week before your last frost or right after your last frost date in your region. My last frost in zone 9 is Mar 24, so I direct seed these from Mar 20 to April 10.
Great video Jag. A newbie veg gardener here. So for zone 8, would I need to plant these around first week of April? Adding 10ish days to your date? Right?
Carrots do well planted in a gutter.
Are you in the Uk where do you find zones ?
I explain zones in the beginning of this video ua-cam.com/video/ze6EwERysbs/v-deo.html
Uk is in usda zone 7 to 9. You are in same zone with him if you’re not in Scottish highland
@@DaisyCreekFarms you explained but it’s not very clear really . Thanks anyway .
@@fansaaga4033 thanks for the explanation as not everyone knows this .
@aileenh7736 I will make a separate video on the zones and frost dates
I live in alaska
I would love to visit Alaska, I have watched Alaskan Bush People and Alaska the Last Frontier and Live Below Zero. I know these shows are scripted but i am in awe when i see the natural beauty!!!! :)
Which state do you live in?
What about garlic? So expensive today
Mine foze solid and rotted
Plant garlic in fall, sep, oct, nov timeframe. If you are in southern hemisphere, you can plant garlic now in March
@DOBBS64, which zone are you in? You need add a layer of straw on top to protect your garlic in winter.
I am in India !!!😄😄😄
Hello to you and your friends in India!
Please tell me what should I do for rats, they are eating my potato plants
You have to buy traps, having a cat helps as well.
How to get rid of pill bugs and those millions of tiny centipede like grubs??? They eat my seeds AND seedling roots.
Pill bugs usually don't eat roots, but they can. They usually eat decaying matter. Earwigs eat the seedlings, and leaves. You can use this product: Sluggo Plus (contains Iron Phosphate) amzn.to/48EcLY3
Ok, the rain gutter thing was mind blowing. 🤯
