    I love these videos and always get inspiration from them, I would love to get involved and building a trance track together and release it. I just finished a version and it’s uplifting and up to standard for release, took me week to build

      Yes there are a few trance track builds on my playlists. I don’t have a recent one but it’s the same principle every time.

      Yes but it is a couple of years old. There is no commentary on this one.

    I don't understand why there is a G sharp in an A minor scale?

    • @peterkelly8357
      @peterkelly8357 3 роки тому

      G#(major 7th of A harmonic minor) is the leading tone back to A, the root. It is also the major 3rd in the dominant chord E major (E major triad = E, G#, B). A natural minor scale uses G natural, you are correct but any note can appear in a melody as an accidental.

    • @peterkelly8357
      @peterkelly8357 3 роки тому

      I answered your question before I watched the video, Demis is using A Harmonic minor

    • @polznbladz3242
      @polznbladz3242 3 роки тому

      @@peterkelly8357 So it's a different scale altogether? It's not Aminor? I'm not musically trained I go by what sounds good to the ear

    • @peterkelly8357
      @peterkelly8357 3 роки тому

      @@polznbladz3242 yes, there are three different minor scales: the natural minor, the harmonic minor and the melodic minor. Scales are made up of two tetrachords, which are the first four notes of the scale (lower tetrachord) and the last four notes of the scale (upper tetrachord). In all the minor scales the lower tetrachord is always the same notes (A minor = A, B, C, D). However, the upper tetrachord varies in each type of minor scale... I can write it out if you’d like.

      @@peterkelly8357 Thanks for the info. I was not aware of this. I learned music theory from edm producers, they either dealt in major or natural minor scale.I also understand you can use pentatonic scale
