2:52 They never would've admitted this in the 2010's. It's crazy how much a higher budget and a couple of failed games can change an entire team. I genuinely believe Shadow Generations might be in my top 3 favorite Sonic games, and that's not something I've been able to say in over a decade and half. I can hardly wait to play it! 💖

Gens story works the way it is, it fills its role of a story, might not be most amazing storytelling in the entire world, but it does serve its purpose as an whatever reason to explain and hold an amazing game in terms of gameplay and quality

We DEMAND more Chao Gardens with in-depth raising mechanics; Hub worlds filled with lore and secrets; super forms and special zones to reward exploration; and fast paced levels with Sonic, but also other levels with Sonic’s friends that showcase their unique play-styles instead of dumb wisp-based gimmicks or lame power ups.
Sonic Team has literally done this before, it’s a tried and true formula that works. The only reason they refuse to use this basis for another Sonic RPG is rank incompetence.
I mean, if you want Unleashed on modern platforms (Besides Series X due to Backwards Compatibility) then sure.

They gotta remaster unleashed. Really, all the game needs is 4k resolution and 60fps on all consoles, not just xbox, and thats literally all it needs. That's how polished the game is. This is an opinion of course.
Agreed, people are not even asking for much when it comes to an Unleashed remaster. Some people including myself are also fine with it just being a port. We just wanna see the game come to modern consoles is all.

Unleashed in my opinion needs a bit more than just a simple remaster, it has quite a few oddities and the night time stages SUCK. But yeah, it'd be cool to have it reworked and brought to modern platforms.
If they could also shorten the werehog phases, make them less repetitive, and add more depth to the beat them all parts, then maybe, yes, it could become a great game.

Please Sega keep doing these videos with developers and interviews with Takashi Iizuka! I like these videos so much. They remind me of Nintendo in the Wii U era which is a good thing. It's like the developers are really communicating with the fans and showing them that they care. Also thie year of Shadow reminds me a lot of what Nintendo did with the year of Luigi back then. I'm excited to play the game when it comes out this month! Have been waiting for a classic 3D level-to-finish game on a current gen console and this is it!

Silver has no importance to Shadow's story outside of 06. There is no reason for him to be in Shadow's whitespace. It really should be rouge who we haven't seen yet presumably because shes in Sonic's whitespace.
Hopefully, in the near near future, this time, Shadow will be a playable fighter in the next Smash Bros.

I still can't believe they didn't put him in Ultimate. He easily could've even been an Echo for Sonic. I'd obviously prefer he be more fleshed out, but anything for shadow to be playable.

This goes to show that if they kept the old Sonic design, there wouldn’t be a 3rd movie, which wouldn’t give the devs an idea to create shadow generations for 2024.
Silver needs his shine after this! He should have been as legendary as sonic and shadow. The possibilities of his own game exploring the future and backstory would be amazing then we can focus on blaze in her sol dimension!

You know, when I had ideas of how they’d bring Sonic Generations to future consoles, I thought they’d add the levels that were in the 3DS version to make the game bigger, but I guess if that would’ve happened, 6 additional characters would’ve needed to be added for Sonic to rescue. But, I could sense what those other characters could’ve been:
* Mighty the Armadillo
* Ray the Flying Squirrel
* Big the Cat
* E-123 Omega
* Jet the Hawk
* Wave the Swallow
* Storm the Albatross
* Fang the Sniper
Hope the folks at Sonic Team consider using their characters in more ways, the fans clearly want more focus on Silver and Blaze. I couldn't agree more, they're both severely underutilized (especially since Blaze has an entire kingdom/world to explore that was really only shown in one DS game).

If you guys are looking for the next character to give special treatment to, as Shadow is currently getting, I would LOVE to see Blaze the Cat get some more time in the spotlight!

Theory:
They can't just name drop characters like Sage and Movie Knuckles if they weren't teasing something, Chaos Island from Sonic Frontiers is going to be a level in the Shadow campaign when it was shown in the story trailer, so I think Sage might be a boss that will be in that level. Movie Knuckles might also be a boss in the Movie update that's coming in December, since it would be amazing to hear both Keanu and Idris in a game together since they're both main characters in Cyberpunk.

It'd be neat to see Silver having the spotlight and being redeemed from his game of origin. I understand that Shadow is easier to work with due to Sonic Adventure 2 being a beloved title in the franchise, and Sonic '06 is receiving a lot of love lately, so the groundwork for a Silver redemption isn't that far-fetched.

My good friend, Shadow shoes, just reacts to air pressure, which manipulates it in jet propulsion that he can use at will, similar to how humans breathe. Even in a vacuum(Outer Space), pressure and gravity still exists which is why Shadow's shoes can manipulate that whenever or wherever air pressure is evident.
Shadow himself is a battery of the chaos energy that powers his airshoes
From what I specifically remember, the AirShoes are what makes Shadow match Sonic’s speed, however, his own “power” kind of chargers these shoes, it might be a form of chaos energy/control, the shoes were specifically designed for him because no one else can use them. The shoes are what make him fast, but the shoes can only make Shadow go fast because of Shadow himself. Contrary to Sonic and Silver where Silver’s Psychokinesis is what gives him speed while Sonic’s speed is for real just natural and he doesn’t need any innate power or ability to make himself go fast.

Hey, so long as it's new content that people can sink their teeth into for a hot minute until we get roboticized Sonic(cause that's clearly what Sonic Frontiers was hinting at right) or has some of his essence put on a personality construct that doesn't remember anything of his friends.
Hopefully, they will do something with that concept of Sonic losing himself as well as his memories to the corruption in Sonic Frontiers.

You know, so long as they either look like Sonic, have the exact same abilities as Sonic, or have their kits dumbed down to be just Sonic but with one or two extra abilities. Or sometimes they'll just give up and put a character creator over Boom Sonic.
You can NOT make that claim of putting ther character to the forefront when they've been non-playable and unimportant for YEARS!

Shadow. Sure, DIO can stop time too, but his time stops only last for periods, and the duration increases in increments, whereas Shadow’s Chaos Control can stop time for as long as he wants, as long as he has a Chaos Emerald.
Shadow's chaos control always has a rime limit. He can't just stop time as long as he wants or indefinitely lol. I love Shadow, and I'm not too familiar with Dio outside of him being a vampire who stops time. If I'm wrong however, I'll retract my words.
