      Yes that is brilliant using the teacher planner. Enjoyed the whole video. Watched it twice. Second time through the light went on about the bullet journal purpose. Also a brilliant idea. Just discovered you and subscribed. And although I am a different ethnicity I relate to your "hair daze" which I also have to do. I have thick curly dry wild hair and I have to budget a half day each week to care for it. It is a big deal and the time simply has to be planned for. Thanks for a well presented and informative video.

    This is so awesome, I've been going back and forth between a bullet journal and a Happy Planner and neither really did everything I needed and this video was the "A-HA!" moment I needed. I absolutely love the idea of pre-planning in one place in a bullet journal, otherwise I feel like I'm writing notes everyplace in my HP and it drives me crazy not having all that stuff in one spot. Great video!

    • @Kricket.B
      @Kricket.B 4 роки тому

      Yes! I've been floundering since I started planning with a happy planner back in March. Not having a place for all of my upcoming things was a struggle and the monthly pages aren't big enough if you have a lot going on. I can see using a happy notes notebook in place of an actual "bullet journal" since I don't have one of those. This video just made sense out of a very jumbled mess.

    I procrastinate a lot after the depressing years and anxiety. So I decided to make a bullet journal, planner to get my life together and to love the things that make me happy before like self care and self love. Then because I’m such a perfectionist I became anxious about what theme of my journal and planner would be, what should I put in my monthly and weekly and what time schedule and I keep on thinking about it but this really help me, that it’s okay to have multiple planner and things would be much easier if it is separated.

    I think this is like my 4 or 5 time watching this particular video it is sooo helpful. I am converting my current system over to your style and each time I watch it gleen a new area to focus on. THANK YOU I’m sure I’ll watch it again. I would love more videos similar to this one about keeping this method functional and YOUR process when you change upon evaluating from one type of planner to next. Example you mentioned changing to a teacher planner method for family (WHICH I LOVE ❤️ HOW YOU REPURPOSED them with stickers brilliant) so I would love what did you do with previous months that are not in this book you just keep your months together in a Family planner etc. because I saw vid you did on store your not yet used planner months or already used. I’m sorry I know this sounds simple I’m sure but when your feeling overwhelmed sometimes the obvious just doesn’t come to mind

    • @kit7647
      @kit7647 3 роки тому

      A weekly hourly planner kept me sane and motivated when I was full-time college + work + side hustle + new baby. I was also in the middle of a move, so a lot was going on.
      I used a big 9x12 sketchbook for weekly brain dumping and then planned it all out in a DIY weekly hourly planner using a 200-300 page 9x6 notebook that was big enough to hold my life and small enough to fit in my bag.
      In the sketchbook I wrote down or mind mapped what I wanted to get done and the consequences of not doing it, then broke it down into small tasks that could be done in a day (i.e. study Psych 101 for 40 mins every Tues and Thurs, do tummy time every morning before breakfast, do laundry every Sat AM, call to book baby's vaccinations for next Fri PM).
      Looking at the consequences really helped me cut out time wasters - those things that seem important but offer no value to you. It motivated me to zero in on my values and make decisions based on what I felt was important. I felt pressure to go to new baby classes as that's what good moms do, right? But the stress I felt after the 1st class wasn't worth the paltry perk of what I learned there so I dropped it and focused on being present with my son while finishing school and building up my savings.

    I'm so darn frustrated with this planner thing. I am trying to figure out where do I get the paper for Happy Planner Mini printables. I keep being sent PDF's and I am looking for inserts. Some one please help me. I have no idea what the heck I'm doing. Btw I chose a mini happy planner because I want to be able to carry it in my purse which isn't that big. Please help!?!?!

    I want to be as bold as you and write on my calendar in pen. Im having tiny anxiety attacks as you write everything in permanent ink 😳

      I use a Frixion erasable pen for that same reason. I just can't bring myself to use a regular pen.
