Just started playing 2042,but have played 1 and 5. I was beginning to fall out with the franchise and started playing during this free weekend and after 6 hours of playing I bought it and have been play nonstop since so definitely worth purchasing now.
If it wasn't for gamepass I wouldn't have experience this game. I'm glad got into it late tho because how bad people was talking about it at the beginning. Been binge playing it for about 6 months.

Hovercrafts are invisible for me, players at the end of the match don’t load, certain emplacements are invisible, I get a black loading screen after every match, there’s a weird sound bug, etc. The cosmetic purchases and all the other micro transactions work flawless. Funny how that works
Don't know if the game gonna pull a No Man Sky comeback but i give Dice the credit for still supported the game and make it better every update. Been having fun myself lately and if you ask me, the game is worth it right now for 6$
I'm an old school battlefield player. I peaked during BF3 and after 2/3 years out of gaming I just bought a new gen console. Now, I know on launch the game was a mess, but the experience I've had with 2042 so far is very good. It feels like a battlefield game to me. Good gunplay, fun combat. It is watered down as far as team play goes compared to older titles but I'm enjoying it more than I did BFV for example. BFV suffered from poor visibility that made playing quite frustrating at times. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I think the game is in a good place currently. If you need more convincing go play the MW3 beta. What absolutely hot dogshit thar game is. The madness is it will still have far higher player numbers that 2042 despite being inferior in pretty much every way. I was appalled a how bad it is. I loved COD and the change of pace from BF games but MW3 feels like BF from wish, especially in groundwar. I see no reason to play it over 2042.
Sadly still pretty empty on xbox without crossplay turned on. Honestly i like what the game is now its not really battlefield but its fun. But i rarely play it bc crossplay with pc is not enjoyable to me. Dice needs to refine the crossplay option so everyone can choose what to play with/against.

Unfortunately when opting out of cross play, its not that you only play with console its that you only play with console people who have MANUALLY turned on this feature. Yes its less than preferable to have to play against pc sometimes but you get used to it and 9x out of 10 you die by an console player anyway

Every multiplayer game is like that now, if you turn cross play off you'll have trouble finding matches. I think it's total BS as well, I have no desire to play against PC players.

I think cods recent downward spiral is a big contribution to the 2042 boost. MW2 was not well received at all, and mw3 is no better tbh, it might even be worse in some ways
I played the beta and played now again while free to see if the game is "fixed" - i ended up buying it cus i had so much fun. I'm not really a big fan of big maps, but i have fun playing TDM.

I definitely am, got really tired of COD. I'm more of a casual player and you don't stand a chance on COD as a casual player. BF I've been playing since BF3 and I've always had fun up to BF1. Looking forward to jumping on BF 2042 and trying it out. COD has been uninstalled 100% and I am never going back so BF it is!

It’s exploded into the 10s of players. This title was Dead on Arrival. They screwed up BF so bad they lost the contract to make more & now other studios brought in to fix their 💩 show. Delay & fix, don’t pawn of a ‘’ work in progress’’ game & make people psy $70, while you figure out how to make it…and it still sucks. Just make BF1 w/new maps, better graphics, possibly new weapons. I’m happy Dice has lost 90+% of their value now that they have no BF contract. Learned NOT to trust & preorder
Uninstalled it again not worth it if people enjoy fair enough but its just a failed battlefield game. And after reading the studio's which will be working on the new battlefield there should be no excuses at all if that game flops battlefield is screwed
I've been playing 2042 and I think there are some hackers. Every time I get behind cover, somehow they still kill me. But other then that, I love this game.
I have no interest in playing ‘42 and now there is only ever one populated operations server in my region for bf1, sad times, but only for me. I hope dice/ea continues to get their sh*t together and releases an amazing new historical game, maybe even a new WW2 game to make up for whatever that bfv thing was. Ggs, all.

I tried 2042 again yesterday and stopped playing after a bit more than a hour. BF2042 is a failed Battlefield game in my eyes.
