As overly complex as this is, it's very simple and easy to use compared to other Notion finance trackers on UA-cam and has everything I need in order to seamlessly incorporate it into my schedule.
No action needs to be carried out you just have to set it up once. The subscription database is for viewing purpose but you can create auto renewal subscription in the expense database that automatically renew on the selected date and time frame like monthly yearly etc. The subscription database gives you a better idea of what subscriptions are running and how much you have spent. So in simple terms. You can add the subscription is the subscription database to keep track of them. Then you can use the recurring expense feature in the expense database to create automated transactions for those subscriptions so that it automatically deducts money from the account.
Just wondering if things can be added after purchase? I would love to add a "TO DO" each month and have that save in Notion on a separate page EG: I need to review my electricity in January, and I can then save the information from the bill on a separate Notion page. Also I would love to add in my credit card points being added with transactions so I can keep track of them! One other idea is I would also love to share expenses with my partner, and have running balance of what I owe him/he owes me?

Yup in the summaries it does automatically create filters for the all the transactions that occurred during that month. So only relevant information is shown. It is a template inside of the summaries database.

Well if you want an all in one suction to keep your finances managed Notion provides the best way to do it. Plus it offers a lot of customization and you can see your money in a lot of different ways. But this template is only designed for 1 person use.
The main reason you want to consider using Notion is that you and your team can share tbe same database, but everyone can have their own custom page with specific views. You cannot do this with quickbooks or dedicated softwares. Its like making a different software for evey memeber or every department.
But you can’t have multiple currencies in one template. You can but it will be extremely complex and you will have to be an expert to operate the system.

I have another question, if I want to transfer money from my bank account to my credit card (credit card payment), does it automatically deduct that amount from the credit card as well, or does it just add the amount to the existing credit card balance? or do i have to enter my credit card transaction as negative so that when i “pay” my credit card from my bank account, it will deduct that amount from the credit card balance?
One question: I was implementing formula for Transfer from and Transfer to, the summary part. If you can share the formulae it will be much better? and how to get small icons not buttons when you open the pages I saw in the pages you have add expenses so how do you get the type of shortcut? As I'm learning notion your template is top notch @notion4management
Currently unfortunately it is not possible although if your currency conversion rate stays constant we can surely try but if it changes a lot then it is a problem.

Yup it supports changing currencies but you can’t use 2 currencies at once. You have to have a primary currency but then you can convert it to secondary. A unified primary currency is necessary for the functioning of the template.
Yes you can but the balance will be in usd although you can add a conversion rate on the account to see it in SGD as well. but the base currency will be usd.

There is already a view to check for annual spendings on subscription and for the bills.

Yes! You can change to all the currencies supported by Notion.

not automated expense and imcome is kind of wild these days. no time to put all expense . nofi is 4.99 / month, but everything is automated.
Unfortunately due to privacy concerns Notion doesn’t natively connect to any payment application or bank accounts.
