    Since my X-men kickstarter will be arriving in 4-6 weeks, i am so glad you have started to showcase some of them now. Your videos have been a huge help for my painting the original base game. Keep them coming

    Another great video, another great paint job! Nice touch that you half-way indicate the model is now tabletop-ready. More videos please!

    Another great paint job and video. I love the new additions to the edit. Card art as well as the division of 'tabletop ready' and 'complete' are great ideas.

    Thanks for doing this, another great video. Mentioning at what point is considered by you table top ready is a nice touch but I’m always impressed by your talent and how you take it to the next level.

    Thanks for putting the paint in the background so we know what paint you're using

    Always love your videos especially as I have most of the same models. I don't know If would but would love to see you paint a marvel united character using army painter speed paints.

      I am no where near as good as he is. I am about to start painting my X-Men Marvel United using the primarily the Army Speed paints. We will see how they come out.

    Hey. great work! I love watching your painting style. An amazing attention to detail. A little more work than I like to give per miniature. But It’s fantastic!

    Is this series going to continue? I got the X:Men United Box for christmas and finished up the cyclops, but only have the zenithal priming video for guidance on the rest XD

      Yes! I've had a bout of painter's block lately it seems, but I can't leave my X-men just zenithaled. More to come!

    I used the tone washes on other minis but not marvel united minis yet. After seeing this I think I’m gunna start. Really makes a difference and makes thing pop. Also, are you going to paint and upload more X-men mini? I really like the X-men sculpts

    • @baseshadehighlight4627

      More to come. I also feel like they stepped up their game with the sculpts in 2nd season vs the 1st.

    I'm really liking the newer format. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my yellow over my zenithal looks awful. Looks very splotchy and had to do a second coat - which negates the zenithal. My blue coat turned out great though.

    • @baseshadehighlight4627
      @baseshadehighlight4627  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks! And you are correct. Yellow over black causes the color to become quite desaturated, sometimes even shifting it towards greenish. I also had to do a few coats of yellow and then use a wash and browns for the shading, instead of relying on the zenithal.
      This model didn't have a ton of yellow, but for others I'm planning to prime under the yellow with a different color.

    Great video once again. X-men will arrive here at the end of March/beginning of April and really looking forward to it (although I still have 30+ mini's to paint from season one....).
    Loved the addition (Tabletop ready) to the video. One possible extra you could do. You always mention you have done a zenithal priming, but now you could mention the zenithal-tutorial you've made (or add a link).

      I'm hoping to have most of the core set done by the time they deliver, but we'll see! (I also have lots unpainted from S1)
      Great idea! I'll add a popup card for this one, but I need to remember to mention it in future videos.

    What's the best way to paint to cover up a dark color that gets on your yellow? I ran into this issue while trying to paint Beast's belt. I kept getting blue or black on the yellow and it took forever to paint over those spots.

    • @baseshadehighlight4627
      @baseshadehighlight4627  2 роки тому

      I'd use something close to what you primed with, because the yellow is going to show it underneath. Either an off-white/ivory, pink, or light brown.

      Thanks! I've got too many of my own minis sitting unpainted. Yours would just make the pile bigger ;)
