Although D250 is touching D400's top speed but it seem to take a lot longer to reach that top speed as compared to D400. D400 reaches 150 quite easily

Bulu bhai, is purchasing a Dominor 250 a better option than a Dominor 400. I have never been on highway trips for more than 200km at a stretch that too i drove only a 150cc as of now, but i like touring, but not verysure whether i will prefer a car or a bike as of now for long tours as i have never been on a bike road trip. So please confirm considering ,mileage, power, maintenance, 65% city usage, 35% highway tours usage. What would you suggest D250 or D400. As you have driven both. What do you suggest. If i purchase D250, in future is there a chance that i might feel that i would have purchased D400.,, Or is D250 more than good enough for highway tours. Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks.

Even pulsar 220f has similar speed on speedo, GPS speed múst be somewhere around 130-135. Also no wind protection.

Hi bulu bhai . Will bike get stressed if ridden with pillion as well as luggage on speed of 90 to 110 . Or it will be comfortable for bike and rider to . Rider /pillion weight approx 70 each.and luggage extra.
It will be fine while riding between 90-110km without any issue even with pillion and luggage, but acceleration will be affected littlw bit only. If you want more power then you can go for D400.

Kisi bhi bike se best mileage pana hai to phir uss bike ka half speed me chalana chahiye, agar kisi bike ka top speed 120kmph hai to phir usko 60kmph speed me chalana chahiye isse behtar mileage niklega aur engine over heat bhi nahi hoga.

Not actual top speed.. Duke 250 bs6 top speed Is 145+ how the this bike gets more topspeed than Duke with extra weight and less power comparing Duke 250? It's obviously a speedometer error. Try to make GPS speed to get top speed of any vehicle.. It's more accurate than this.. You will get whats the difference between actual gps speed and speedometer speed..

If speedometer shows 155, then actual speed will be 1478/48 due to percentage of speedo error
They give Speedo error to keep the rider in illusion, the rider thinks he's riding fast, yet it's a complete illusion.
And there's a big problem especially with most of the single-cylinder small capacity motorcycles, they give different top speeds accordingly, mostly depending to the riders weight. which means if a rider who weigh around 95kg will achieve significantly less top speed to a rider who weighs 70kg.
156 - 7.5% = 144 kmph (equivalent to duke 250)
GPS TEST KARO Different speeds par aur fir percentage nikalo...7.5% hi aayega

Also this comment was 2 years ago!! It's not 7.5 %...it's actually plus minus 8kmph for doninar 400 and plus minus 11kmph for doninar 250..
Recent gps tests on dominar 250 shows that while riding at 100kmph on meter is 89kmph on gps...
Also plus minus 11kmph is the maximum limit allowed by govt. to show errors.
Example cars like Swift, i20, xuv700 have plus minus 4kmph error meaning 100 on meter will be 96 on gps..
Just like that BMW's, Audi, merc have only 2kmph..
There are steps..2/4/6/8 and 11kmph at the speeds of 100.
6kmph error can be found on 390 adventure...100 on Meter is 94 on gps..
Every car/bike has some amount of error
Bajaj, TVS, Yamaha keep that error higher..at 8kmph and above.

its a speedo error obviously. even if u manage to get it to 150 kph. it should not be done on Dominar 250 on stock tyres. as it comes with nylon tyres. p rated and the max speed is 150kph. its not safe at all. and u could risk blowing ur tyres out while riding

Yah bro ur dominor 400 speed is 162 and dominor 250 speed is 156 .but there is a change of getting the speed of 156 in both bikes ..as dominor 400 can go 156 in less time so that is the differece so dnt worry bajaj gave u a best one only
Baja should work on weight management , dominar 250 weight is 180 kg it's to heavy and dominar 400 have 187.
Bruh weight is important for high speed long driving to keep the bike stable.. All these cheap 300cc fancy sport bikes are extremely wobbly when you go above 100 but they are still fine since sports bikes are less for high speed touring and more for nimble cornering and acceleration

I'm not a bike expert but I have question ns 200 can 156-60 but why domi 250 gives the same speed ?
Every bike is tuned accordingly. If you see bikes like mt5 or r15 can touch 140 if I am not wrong coz engine is made in such a way that it can Rev even at 10k rpm even though bike is just 150cc.
Simple answer is doimior is made for stable speed touring so tuned accordingly
