Socks are all amazing 😊. Nice to put blankets aside for awhile because it's so exciting when you get them out again. It's cold where I am so I got my crochet blanket out its getting quite large and keeping me warm as I go so cosy . Nice to hear how proud you are of your girls ❤
HS secretary here. Our air conditioning did not work until last week. Our last week of school. It was miserable! We had a basketball tourney in March and it was 80 degrees in the gym. Weather cooled off for a couple of weeks and then they decided to work on the air not when it first failed in March. Also from one flute to another, great job girls on your hard work.

Hi, band mom here. My oldest was in choir and plays and still speaks so fondly of those. My younger 2 did matching band and I can't recommend that more highly. Some of their best high school memories as well as great friendships were formed there. Now that both girls will be in symphonic band, they can complete for who gets placed at first chair. The band teacher at our school sometimes had students switch instruments which made it so now my daughter played 5 instruments and my son 4. :) If you wonder if all the extra time/cost for marching band is worth it, I vote YES!!
My first love will always be a vanilla scrappy sock. Why am I not making more of them? I just sorted my sock scrap/leftovers box and I have a lot in there atm. May have to cast one on asap... Summer Sock Camp means knitting socks out of all the yarns that are calling to be knit into socks as soon as some socks are cast off. If you know you know. Let it be over before we decide when and how the yarns less calling can be knit up. I don't know why it is so commonly ok for people to say so and so was sick this week, the dog went to the vet, there's trouble at school, etc... yet feel one has to apologise when saying how great something is or how well someone is doing. If your pre-teens are both doing really well right now. Well. Bragging rights to you, and I'm happy to hear about it. Good job kiddos!!

I’m trying to figure out how to work reading a physical book into my day, might do 30 minutes of reading in the morning instead of say 30 minutes of knitting. The struggle of figuring out a schedule so you can do all your hobbies 😂 I do love audiobooks while knitting but I checked out a ton of books from the library, so I need to knock those out.
I am thinking of using my Death Star retirement party as a musselburgh as well. Yours is making it really difficult for me to hold off on starting mine! 😅
