Any knit is actually my comfort knit. Knitting has preserved my sanity and saved my life after the sudden death of my husband 4 years ago. Knitting and my dogs helped me survive.
Knitting socks is my comfort knitting. I was at the Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for 7 months last year and knitted socks the whole time I was there. I enjoyed going to their local yarn shops in the Houston area and I’m so blessed to have had such an amazing hobby to help keep me company as well as the many podcasters out there. I learned to knit after I opened my yarn shop. My customers taught me. Once I learned to knit socks, I haven't stopped. Socks are my comfort knitting for sure.

Beautiful yarn! I would say knitting is comforting in it self. Right now, soft unspun forces me to slow down and knit very gently, in other words, comfort at its best.
A plain vanilla sock or a crochet granny stripe blanket are my go-to comfort projects. I don’t have to think but I can still create. Now I want to buy some more Holst yarn in ALL the colors!

I love knitting with color changing yarns. The project could be anything. I so enjoy watching the colors change and evolve, blending or contrasting making every project unique. My current favorite is working with Junction Fiber Mill Making Tracks Lite. I'm knitting the Feldmark shawl. The multi-directional pattern is perfect for color changing yarns. I plan on casting on another as soon as I finish!

There are always several pairs of socks on my needles, so socks are my comfort knit for sure. ❤ But recently I started to knit my first blanket (my first two blankets to be honest 😅), and I really enjoy knitting on them, too. The long rows are quite relaxing.

My comfort knit is socks. Learning to knit them took some time and a number of years to get it, but now I love knitting them. I like easy patterns but sometimes venture into more adventurous patterns like those in the Sock Madness competition. Thank you for your lovely podcast. I particularly enjoy the musical interludes that are so relaxing and wonderful for knitting.

Your projects are lovely, and I now have inspiration to get on with a pair of socks that are resting. Holst Coast is one of my favorite yarns and I am just finishing up a cool summer tee in the color saffron--so lovely. My comfort knit is in general a comfortable wearable garment, mainly tees and light-weight sweaters. A little bit of lace perhaps, but mainly stockinette in the round. So soothing.

My comfort knit is socks. Learning to knit them took some time and a number of years to get it, but now I love knitting them. I like easy patterns but sometimes venture into more adventurous patterns like those in the Sock Madness competition. Thank you for your lovely podcast. I particularly enjoy the musical interludes that are so relaxing and wonderful for knitting.

Knitting socks for my family is definitely my joy project. Always have a pair on the go. Goodness those opal yarns are so pretty. Holst Garn has such a variety of colors. My daughter got me a 16 pack with a variety last Christmas, I'm going to use for amigurumi. Have a wonderful day.

Selma at Little Big Knits just recommended your podcast, so I hopped right over to check it out. I'm so glad I did, as I enjoyed it very much. Your projects are lovely, and I now have inspiration to get on with a pair of socks that are resting. Holst Coast is one of my favorite yarns and I am just finishing up a cool summer tee in the color saffron--so lovely. My comfort knit is in general a comfortable wearable garment, mainly tees and light-weight sweaters. A little bit of lace perhaps, but mainly stockinette in the round. So soothing.

Hello from Sydney Australia. You have two of my fav things on this episode. 1. the fantastically beautiful music by Leonard Cohen Hallelujah. I have a lot of Leonard Cohen favourites.. Let it Be, Who By Fire, Take This Waltz, I'm Your Man and more.. they make me cry they're so etherealy beautiful. And the Holst Garn shop...one of my most favourite yarns and cone wool. Often my comfort knit is a gift knit for a family member or friend.
Thank you for another lovely podcast and for taking us along to the Holst Garn shop! I love to watch Selma too, she picked a beautiful song for you to perform. My comfort knit absolutely is knitting colourwork sweaters, f.e. Fair Isle. I know this is pretty stressful to some, but for me it is the most enjoyable knit, to relax after a day of work. Besides sweaters, I always have a pair of socks on the needle and I prefer to knit them 2aat since I want them to be identical.
