Great list! There are so many games to look forward to. My most anticipated monster tamers are Myth Caller, Nexomon 3, Beastiball, Ova Magica, Disc Creatures World and whatever the next Digimon game will be.
Thank you so much for the nice words Ed ❤ also, such a good list. Really good to see the increase in monster taming games in the past years and all the cool ideas people have!
For anyone looking forward to Palworld, Pocketpair's previous game Craftopia is still in early access, and it's been out for 4 years now. Considering how much they've been marketing Palworld, I can only hope it doesn't share Craftopia's fate, but I'd still advise you to temper your expectations.
Craftopia was their first game and had no backing. They were still actively putting out updates even AFTER tencent picked up Palworld. Obviously Palworld took priority.
I backed lumentale so I'm definitely excited when December rolls around, as it'll be closer as well to GTA6 and Monster Hunter Wild as well in 2025. I know the last two aren't monster tamers but I still enjoy them lol
Beastieball and LumenTale are my most anticipated games! There demos were absolutely amazing and fun! Still waiting on when you Ed to do a Beastieball demo video lol
Looking forward to Palworld, Myth Caller and Lumentale from the list. I would say Nexomon and enjoyed both games but until they release actual footage, i can't include it on my list.
For me, it is Nanokin, Beastieball, Disc Creatures: World, Aethermancer, and Nexomon III. Of them, Beastieball looks to be the most unique, while Nanokin seems like it'll most scratch my itch for mix and match monster collecting.
I'm not crazy about Palworld, but I'm excited about its success. I've always said a monster taming/base building hybrid would do well - and hopefully that inspires others to copy the concept. I'm tired of the same formula: train monsters and fight with them until they're obsolete, breed/catch better ones, grind them up, rinse repeat. My ultimate dream for the genre is for a big studio to make a triple A title with realistic 3D models, monsters having unique environmental abilities like pollination, weather change, etc, and with the dark fantasy aesthetic of the siralim series. I want to explore and create with my monsters, not move to the next most difficult area. It's a pipe dream but Palworld is step in the right direction.
your dream game sounds like what Pokemon should've been but failed to do, they definitely have the funds to do it as they are the highest grossing media franchise of all time but they are too set on releasing a new game every year even though their developer team is way too small, if they gave themselves 3-5 years to make a game instead of 1 and hire a lot more senior game developers this dream game could become real.I do agree that palworld is a step in the right direction and much better than anything Pokemon has released in the last 8 years.
I'm super excited for nexomon 3, extinction got me really invested on the franchise. I would say I'm also really hyped for Palworld, and while I still kind of am, unfortunately I'm not as excited for it anymore due to being unable to run it on my PC, so I'm going to have to sit that one out XD
Photogeist Albums really caught my eye with its super unique art style (thanks for making me find out about that game by the way, I don't think I would have discovered it without your latest Direct video!). Also I'm really excited about Beastieball, just like you said about Nexomon that you trust the team behind it, it's really the same for me with Beastieball, I love Greg Lobanov's previous games (including their stories) and with Lena Raine as composer, I really think it can be something special.
Nanokin seems good, even if I fear like it will get a system that has you only always build the same mons in the end because they get the best result. Nexomon 3 5, Nanokin should be 4, Palworld 3 Beastiball 2 and Lumentale 1. The new style and probably a new ruleset for Nexomon should help me finally giving it a chance. I mean I always felt like that trash pokemon is a rare and for that always stronger than let's say something from Nexomon that looks like a guardevoir or something since that one is common. Then I hear the typing and attack sitation, but more important would be the way trainer levels worked I think. That always kept me from really starting those games.
Beastieball seems a bit like the underrated supergiant game "Pyre", will def try it. Also I'd love to see a Jade Cocoon reboot/remaster during this monster game renaissance
I'm looking forward to Nexomon III. I finished and enjoyed Nexomon, and been struggling with Extinction but am enjoying it. I hope III doesn't make it hard to grind with scaling, that's what is making Extinction so difficult.
ANyone who has watched the channel for an extended period of time would know your number one would be Nexomon. You literally give it every length of rope, taking rope from other games to give it to Nexomon. You are the one person in the world I could never trust to give a real and honest review of a Nexomon game based on every minute of coverage I've watched you give their games.
For me my to 5 would be Kindred Fates, GrimmlinsTale, Palworld(tho i just bought it, still looking forward to the 1.0), Beastie Ball, and either Lumentale or Photogeist Albums
I'm not able to look forward to much until I get a new PC, but I am most interested in Moonstone Island on Switch, Palworld, The Thaumaturge, Aethermancer, Nanokin, Beastieball, Disc Creatures World and Lumentale. Mostly Aethermancer though.
Thanks for the list. I'm also interested in Duel Revolution which has a Beta update coming out very soon and then will have an early access release in the near future. I'm interested for it's real time battle mechanic and the fact that it is online like Temtem.
@@Kepsin Yes. It's just a team of two guys working on it in their spare time. I think the next phase in development will be the make or break of it. The game definitely had some balancing issues which made the early game too much of a grind but they have supposedly addressed that for the next release.
So I seen that Golden Sun 1&2 will be on switch gameboy advance would that series be monster tame lite? Since you collect little creatures call dijin and collecting enough lets you summon larger monsters in a fight.
I loved the concept, aesthetic and creature design of lumentale, but boy, it needed a revamp from what they showed in the demo. Like, who has ever had a rpg where other party members CANT heal other members? The one that is hurt is the only one that can heal himself. That is BANANAS.
Beastie Ball,Palworld,Dokev(Hoping we get more information this year),Nexomon 3,and hoping Coromon gets a physical release this year I'm still holding hope 4 it.
Palword number 1 for me atm myth caller creature keeper is a one since I played the demo a few years back happy it's coming out this year , disc creatures world is gonna be awesome looking forward to it love the graphics and the dragon mons of course. Thaumaturge I might get later down the line but I will be watching your whole play through loved when you played the demo nanokin looks interesting. Lumentale seems like it's going to be pretty good been waiting to see more on it plot reminds of anode heart. As always keep up the good work Ed
I’m enjoying palworld greatly. It’s got many of the elements I wish Pokémon would implement like using your pals for tasks other than traversal and combat. I’m a long time fan of nexomon and personally prefer the nexomon games and art style to Pokémon (which shocked me because until nexomon released I was a dedicated Pokémon fan) And so these are the two games I’m most excited about. Palworld’s team has shown that they genuinely want to push the limits of what palworld can offer and I’m patiently awaiting expansions as I learn the game
Lumentale looks like what if Pokemon improved on GenVs 3D assets 2D character models. I feel like that would've been so much better. Lumentale however looks to have a lot of soul in it so super excited
I knew we were going to get a third nexomon game, but I had no idea it would be 3d and open world. I really need to finish the post game so I can understand certain things that will most likely happen in the story of the upcoming game.
I'm looking forward to nanokin, disc creatures world, aethermancer, nexomon 3, ova magica, and a potential siralim 5. I wanted to like monster sanctuary but the metroidvania aspect locked out too much variety early, so I think I'll like aethermancer more. I'm concerned that the next siralim game and nexomon 3 (less so now) might shift genres and become less strategic.
My suggestion is Bágdex, a monster tamer game inpired in brazilian region and its animals, plants, memes and myths. It'll be released in 2025 for PC and Nintendo Switch.
Surprised Palworld is here but no DokeV, tbh. I discovered the existence of both around the same time and have followed them as much as media that gets released will allow.
I am eager to play Thaumaturge, Palworld and Nexomon 3. Thaumaturge because it reminds me a bit of the persona games where you can capture demons and use them to fight for you. Palworld caught my attention because it looks like pokemon but with guns and while I'm not all that keen on the base building aspect of it, perhaps I might enjoy since I want to fight large pokemons with guns and other arnaments. As for Nexomon 3 I hope it will be available for the PS5, Nexomon 2 was my first pokemon like game since I am playstation player.
I wishlisted most of which I could find on Steam! Disc Creatures has a certain charm to it. Would you reccomend I play through the first one before the 2nd one comes out?
6:58 holy shit i did not expect nexomon to get a third edition let alone a 3D one, i just hope this ones free, not to mention i still have to play through nexomon one and extinction, but i glad they wanna do a newer game in the series :)

Well it's skyrocketing now
Palworld is soo good
How do you like Palworld
@@PapaSwall playing the game its enough to like it, its not for everyone tho
Palworld solos
Hearing that Aethermancer has ties to Monster Sanctuary rocketed it to one of my top games to look forward to.
Im really looking forward to Palworld, Thaumaturge and Lumentale. Also, looking forward to more info on Nexomon 3. Looking like a good upcoming year.
D.A.M. Champion is an underdog game. Small budget, but it is going to surprise people. I've been following the Discord.
Palworld, Disc Creatures World and Nexomon 3 will (hopefully) be awesome, but I'm also optimistic about Lumentale

I actually recorded the video a few weeks back palworld might be no. 1 now but its hard to choose hhahaha
Palworld looks cool, and I've recently started the first nexomon game and got extinction lined up for after.
