Great video man! This is probably one of the most detailed and descriptive videos I’ve seen, your content is SUPER underrated. Keep it up!
I appreciate that!
Amazing... just amazing how many people fall into these sites.
I'm not sure what that means...
Thank you for sharing! I am flying AA next week and was nervous about the flight.
Have fun and happy travels!
Flown American 1st Class 3 times since they resumed operations. If you ask for drinks they provide them in 1st class. Some flight attendants were put off by you even asking but they provided them. Last time we flew in October - they were providing cold food options to first class, like a cheese and crackers tray or a chicken sandwich. It's not 1st class pre-covid but getting closer.. Great video! Cheers!
Agreed! It is getting closer, slowly. There does seem to be more variation in the crew morale/attitude on AA than other carriers.
Thanks for uploading your vlog-sharing experience of going on board with American Airlines during the pandemic, Trizity! : )
No worries! A couple more to do (Alaska and JetBlue) and I think I'll be able to report on all the more major domestic airlines and how they have addressed the vid. Stay tuned!
Legend
I think that socket that you had problems identifying is a 5 pin din midi socket for audio playback. You can get din audio adapters so you can have two earphones plugged in at the same time. It’s an old format.
Thanks for the info! It is an old seat...
Thank you, this is a great video! I enjoyed!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'll be traveling first class with my 1 year old on next month so it's nice to see what to expecr
Have fun and hopefully you have an airplane loving baby!
I'm going to have to try that skitte pistachio mix!
One of my go to snacks! Sweet and salty, yum!
I thanks I’m flying to Puerto Rico for New Years in one day we will take the first or last plane because they are the cleanest planes
Happy travels!
Is it hard to watch TV if the person reclines the seat in front of you?
It depends. Some of the seatback screens can swivel, so if the passenger reclines, you can adjust the screen to compensate. I have been on flights where the screen does not adjust.
DL announced this week that they will keep window seats open through January
I saw that too. Southwest seems to be the only other carrier that is leaving space these days. Wonder if they will extend their's as well?
Im 12 and im going to disney and going to first class. With my family
Have a great trip!
Not every AA flight will have those little baggies either. Just for anyone who is going to fly with AA during these times. Only certain routes will do it. RSW-DFW and vice versa did for me. But not DFW to Denver or vice versa.
And yes, economy will also have personal screens if the first class seats have personal IFE.
Interesting information, thank you!
@@TrizityTraveling you're welcome. I added a qualifying statement to the IFE as some planes with AA still doesn't have personal IFE.
When he said plz like I did it right away
Thank you!
Omg thank you so much I am happy to know what I am going to be expecting to flight during the pandemic on November 13. With my cousin I am subbing and sending it to my cousin and sharing it because he is fligh in’s with me . I have flightier this sis my fav airline but I didn’t know who it was going to be in the COVID 19 .
Good luck, and have a great flight!
awesome trip report as usual
Thanks a lot!
Great idea on the snack mix. Must try that myself. Nice report Curious how Tampa zoo and aquarium will be for covid restrictions.
Good question! Aquarium had limited entry and wear masks at all times. The zoo required masks when indoors, but allowed you to remove it outside. The zoo also did a thermal camera scan before we entered.
Great video man!
Appreciate it!
thanks for the great video of current travel experience! I'm surprised about the 737 still with PTV, I thought AA ripped out all the 737 cabins with PTV?
You and me both! On this holiday, we have 4 737-800 flights and I was very surprised that 2 of the 4 had a PTV. I've read they are going to be removed, but with the huge losses the airlines are posting right now, they may have delayed those plans?
Did they serve liquor on board? if so, with ice? Also, if so, how was drink service?
I had this question earlier, and I think they were serving mixed drinks with ice. Small bottles of liquor and a can of something with a cup of ice...service seems to be variable however, so I can't guarantee this will be the case tomorrow...
Did you sanitize your seats and screen and everything you touch prior to sitting down or filming? Thanks.
I do not.
Do you need a special app to watch the movies? I know Alaska airlines requires the Gogo entertainment app to watch, wondering if American has something similar?
I think you'll need the American Airlines app to watch entertainment on your device.
I just wear my n95 and sleep the whole flight....no service flights here also.
Happy Travels!
Do you put your carry on under the seat in front of you?
I do.
Do they serve drink or meal
Covered that in the video...
This legit just looks like coach but more leg room. I thought you get more of your own space
Here's what seatguru.com says: one neighbor instead of 2 in "first" with it's 2x2 instead of 3x3, and 40 inches from your seatback to the back of the one in front of you...in economy you get 31 inches to the seat in front of you...8 inches more in "first"...the seat is also 2 inches wider...
Gluten free here too.
So first class right now is nothing but more room and tv's? So I should just fly economy for the price difference?
Pretty much....you might get a soda, depending on the flight...only thing you could count on is the seat being bigger and you can check a bag for free.
I thought they board rear to front?? Why are so many people walking by you?
They do not as far as I can tell. I think AA is boarding like normal. I was sitting in first class and we were boarded first.
Flying from DFW to Newark at the end of the month, hoping for a empty plane.
If you are on Delta, they are still only 2/3 full (I think) for now. AA at least will fill the plane (if they can) from what I've seen...
@@TrizityTraveling three of four of my flights last week were completely filled
How far does the seat recline I have a bad back
I'd guess three inches of recline...
@@TrizityTraveling oof I can’t fly then
I saw online that they still did drinks by request . Is that so ?
Maybe, I didn't see anything other than the small bottles of water on this flight. But I didn't really look around either.
Yea I had seen on their website to that they arent going around asking but canned beverages and alcohol available upon request
I flew AA to Alaska in August, I must say how disappointed I was in the first class service or should I say the lack there of. No meals and you had to beg for drinks. Yet they have not cut the price of the first class ticket. In my opinion they can't give me an acceptable reason for the lack of service. This COVID crap is just a reason to charge your for something they are not delivering.
I'm afraid you are probably right.
Were they serving alcohol in first class?
I'm not actually sure. I seem to remember someone getting wine, but I wouldn't swear to that under oath...
Sir, i was planning to fly this august 18 from boston to ontario california via AA. how much did you pay for your seat? And you seated on the first class?
This was domestic first...I think the fare was around $800.
@@TrizityTraveling thank you sir. I already booked a flight via delta because the AA suddenly decrease their flight tickets price 😭 i going to seat on delta premium and paid $300
I will fly from Munich to Charlotte (20.12.2020), please do not know how it is with food? I'd rather take my food extra. Is it possible to take off the mask when no one is around me? I have lifelong breathing problems and I'll be on the road for 16 hours. Thank you
On my recent flights, we were allowed to remove masks when eating or drinking. I think meals are still served on international flights, but I would suggest a DM via twitter to the airline asking that question. Seems like the situation keeps changing. I have heard that blankets and pillows are not being handed out on long haul flights, either. Something to consider if you get cold on a long flight. Best wishes!
Never had the pleasure of flying AA
I find most of the FA to be more stern than say Delta or Southwest. Gives the impression they don't like working there...
I’m flying soon!!
Good for you! Best wishes and have fun!
Boise airport check
GO DUCKS!!!
I was so bummed out that they didn't get into the playoffs. Haven't been interested at all...probably what the Cup finals though...
I flew from Columbus,Oh. to Las Vegas past August. The difference I saw was having to wear the masks. I thought it was rather idiotic cause everyone pretty much there masks off while they ate and drunk what they had brought w/them. Since in the economy only got water and a bag of pretzels but yet in the 1st class they got what they wanted.
Seems like service or lack of is at the flight attendants discretion or whim...This series of 4 flights on AA really illustrated that.
@@TrizityTraveling It was funny to cause they kept closing the curtain for separation. On the flight I mentioned the plane would not start so they flew me to NJ and a 2 hour layover to fly to Vegas.
Not sure why they still bother with the curtain...having sat on both sides of it, it's pretty silly.
@@TrizityTraveling very cause people kept walking through to use the bathroom. lol
I'm say this. I bought the ale seat and window seat for my me and my spouse to deter someone from buying the middle seat as alot other did as well. I'm on to the game you middle seat buyers are doing. You think you buying the middle seat is going to force the other two people who know each other to offer you the window or ale seat so they can sit next to each other. Nooo buddy you buy that seat you going sit right there no matter how uncomfortable it is. Also I'm the type to keep checking the seat chart to see if someone bought the seat. So you middle seat buyers buy the seat hoping the buyer of the ale and window seat buy other seats or pay more money for the front seats and leave you with the whole row. Ohhhh no buddy I refused to let you finnese your way into having a whole row to your self. U going sit right there in that middle seat
Love it!
It must be extremely boring being an FA now as they really have nothing to do on a normal flight. LOL probably still feel overworked... JK...
They regularly patrolled the aisle and looked for mask and seat belt violators...
Trizity Traveling Well some airlines have 100’s of passengers now banned for failing to wear a mask. For me it’s not an issue because transatlantic flights are impossible because tourism is not possible and hours without food and drink will be a huge deterrent to normal tourism.
