I didn’t really watch “Chico And The Man” when it was originally on NBC. I was twelve in 1976. But I do remember the very morning when I was getting ready for school, and my parents had the TV on “The Today Show”. I think it was Tom Brokaw who reported that Freddie Prince had shot himself the day before. Very tragic, it was in my mind on the way to school that morning.

I forgot how handsome Tony Orlando was. I had yellow ribbons dancing in my head knocking three times on the ceiling if you want me. Twice on the pipe.
Those two were best friends in real life .... Prinze's death was the major factor in Orlando temporarily retiring ....
