SMTP - 25 - 465/587 - send mail - Outgoing mail server(smtp mail server)
POP3 -110 - 995 - retrieve mails - Incoming mail server
IMAPv4 -143 - 993 - retrieve mails - Incoming mail server
Ex.http -80, https -443 - Data encrypted over SSL/TLS
IMAPv4 - copy -paste -keeps copy in both server and local client PC, mail not completely download into local client PC, multi client app support
POP3 - cut - paste - once mail is downloaded into your local client PC, and it will removed from Server, single client app support
If MailBox size is very less on the mail server, ex. 100MB
We can't store more mails in Mail Server, once the mailbox is full we can’t send or receive new mails, we have to keep clean/delete old mails, to send and receive new mails
So Store your mails into your local PC , using Outlook app, with POP3 protocol
IMAPv4 you can access mails from different client apps, any time , any where, any device, any app, because mails store in server
POP3 you have access mails from your local PC only, mails are in local PC only
If Local PC is down, hdd failed, so your mails data also gone
So it is always better to take backups and store them in an other device like external hdd.

.PST - Personal Storage Table - mails server is other than microsoft
.OST - Offline Storage Table - mail server is Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft (Office) 365 Exchange

Unable to send/receive mails
Check internet - yes, working - outlook app,configuration, password or mail server .,
Not working - resolve internet issue
Check configuration - outgoing mail server -smpt, incoming mail server -pop or imap setting, server names or ip address, protocols, port no.,ssl/tls selection
Check for password change - password is change by user, or may be admin, password may expire
Try open your mail account in web browser
Try to send and receive new mails - working outlook app issue
Not working - may be password, mail server, mailbox is full
If your mailbox full, delete any old or unnecessary mails
Outlook data file location drive is full, example C: Drive is full free up disk space
Outlook application not working
Scan your system with antivirus
Logout /login form PC, or Restart PC
Control Panel - Programs and Feature - Right click on MIcrosoft Office app - Change/repair - Online Repair
*Appwiz.cpl - directly opens Control Panel - Programs and Feature
Or Uninstall App - Restart PC - install app again
Remove Cache Data - run - %temp%, temp, prefetch
This PC - C:Drive - right click - properties - Disk Cleanup
