I'm shocked at how poor quality the tooling is on all droppers... with the right fitted internals there is no reason to have any kind of play like you get from all droppers... I hope 1 day some engineer will see the money to be made in these parts and make a good 1 over the bike brands making sub par parts that kind of work some times...
Front to back play is no good a little side to side is okay. If play increases over time. It means the internal keys are wearing our . A rebuild on these posts is easy as there aren’t a lot of internals. The problem is finding a rebuild kit. I had to order mine from Amazon UK and ship to Canada. Talk about convoluted, other wise chain reaction warranties to post for 2 years and may switch it out completely.
Tcho Tcho Dropper posts are not all crap. Contact the place you bought it from, there is a 2 year warranty. Also you obviously haven’t been on bikes with good droppers like the Fox Transfer
I guess the collar (part with the brand ascend text) was unscrewed and loose. It could be tightened by hand.

That is how they are. Never had issues.

NO, apparently this is how they are. Dropper posts are all crap. I don't like them.

@@tchomusic rockshocks are hydropic and have a different key system results in no play
