- Creed Behind the Scenes Movie Broll - Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler, Sylvester Stallone
RELEASE DATE: November 25, 2015
DIRECTOR: Ryan Coogler
CAST: Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Tony Bellew, Graham McTavish, Phylicia Rashād, Wood Harris, Andre Ward, Gabriel Rosado
PLOT: Adonis Johnson never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky down and asks him to be his trainer. Despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good, Rocky sees in Adonis the strength and determination he had known in Apollo-the fierce rival who became his closest friend. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter, even as the former champ is battling an opponent more deadly than any he faced in the ring. With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title…but can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter, in time to get into the ring?

I love how Stallone got involved almost as if he's assistant directing the fight scenes. Passing on his knowledge
Darwin Walker he was also a producer
He was producer
This shit gives you a new respect for actors. They stuff they gotta do with no music and environment to set the scene like we see on the finished product.
Shoggoth true but look at how much they get paid 😂😂 if I got that offer I definitely wouldn’t mind putting in the work they do
They get paid as much as they do because they did put in the work when they didn't get paid that much. You can't just make it out there and get paid like that if you don't have the reputation, work etiquette and dedication. Actors don't just end up being randomly picked and paid money and be expected to put in the work. You gotta live it.
Benjamin Le yes at the start when building the reputation the money is too less compared to the work you’re putting in, but once the breakthrough happens then the money you earn and life you live all makes up for it
I mean, you spoke it condescendingly like it was easy work and anyone wouldn't mind. You're saying.. there should be respect BUT. But nothing, respect for these actors are all they deserve. Don't try to undermine it.
Benjamin Le uhhh I’m not disrespecting or undermining them
Ultimate respect to that cameraman who singlehandedly shot an entire 5 minute boxing match without any cuts.
@@mohannadessam1783 it was a "she". A woman shot this movie!
@@richardphilip3807 iT wAs a sHe!
@@tracktrix8028 yes. A woman shot the movie.
@@richardphilip3807 I saw a guy cameraman in the bts
@MUFC shut the fuck up lol Boxing is so much better than football or as you say soccer
I saw the movie earlier today and have been watching Creed videos ever since. I think I'm obsessed with this movie.
Same I saw it at 6:45 on Sunday
+LuKasAV6 Im obsessed too. I watched it for the hell of it, expecting it to be like Rocky V or Rocky Balboa. Instead I got a movie just as good as Rocky I and II. Couldnt believe it. Absolutely amazing movie in every way.

+Raraplayz 1 I saw at AMC and it was Amazing. I love how they used real Boxers like Andre Ward and Gabriel Rosado. I also loved how they went along with the Original Rocky Storyline: Boxer fights bums, Boxer meets Girl, Boxer likes girl, Boxer trains with Trainer, loses the big fight but gains popularity, Respect, and Fame. It was what made the Rocky Movies great.
I thought I was tye only one. Watched when it came out and I'm still watching videos and the trailer
This movie was very well done, all the characters were selected perfectly, It paid perfect homage to the previous Rocky films and never missed a beat. Mr. Coogler did an amazing job and for his young age at 29, I'm looking forward to more films directed by him. Michael B. Jordan you got people cheering and crying in theatres. THIS ONE IS A GEM... CANT WAIT TO SEE IF THEY MAKE A SEQUEL
Completely agree!
It was alright, It wasnt "Amazing!"
I disagree but hey to each his own...
+Butcher Wing umm this movie was set in present time so of course the majority of the film was for this generation. this isn't the 70s or 80s. before you talk shit, do your research dumb ass
***** if you feel this salty about the movie, then why'd you see it huh??...👀👀
Tessa better be in the next one, she was so good and her music is amazing!!
What are you doing here mikey!!???!?
I agreed she is the modern day Adrian but you know...better
She is Buddy
Haha! Without the music and cinematography he looks like a goofy maniac at 3:20. Like if I saw that outside my window, I'd be like "Who is this nut job?"
😂😂😂😂😂 agreed
+Calinks LMAO!!!!!! nut job lol
+Calinks That's why I hated that scene. It just so completely retarded. He runs down two or three blocks and then starts screaming like he accomplished some hard task.
+majinshenmue He wasnt celebrating the run, he was pumped about the upcoming fight. This movies version of Rocky and the steps
lmaoooo
I'm so proud of Michael B and Ryan did an amazing job with Fruitvale Station. Tessa Thompson was in 'For Colored Girls'. That movie pulls at your heartstrings. I loved the way they told her character's story. It's nice seeing young talent getting chances to shine and tell these necessary stories, even if they're followups to already made, fictional stories. Seeing how Michael could tell a story, people like him need to be appreciated. Acting is more than glitz and glam, a movie and stories can really set paths give great inspiration for an actual young or even older person's goals. We hold our favorite movies in our hearts and unknowingly implement what we saw into our everyday lives maybe in the smallest ways but they mean something to us. If we are imitating what our favorite characters do or take on their outlooks, movies are more than just entertainment. And entertainment shouldn't always be looked at simply either.
+aGwEENapple Tessa was great. While we had background info on Adonis, Rocky, and Apollo's widow, we didn't know anything about her. So she had to give a balanced performance to develop her character quickly and make us fall in love with her. Mission accomplished~ I gotta check out 'For Colored Girls' again.
Coogler did a hell of a job with this movie. I'm crossing my fingers that Marvel gets him to direct Black Panther!
itsmezed 2 weeks!
How the hell
Gido right? dude needs to play the lottery asap
Rip Chadwick boseman
Talk about speaking into the future!!!
It's so easy when your watching a movie to forget all the effort that goes in to making just 1 scene let alone the whole movie
This movie is the best movie I have seen in at least in the past 15 years!! Awe inspiring and a beautiful story!! Ryan Coogler is one of the best upcoming directors in Hollywood and is a game changer period! Michael B. Jordan is going to be one of the best iconic actors of our generation!
the beauty of the steady cam
saleebymen haha fucking pathetic liberal bitch
the first Rocky movie was first ever movie use a steady cam in 1976
@@mitchellwarner1526 What are you even talking about lol, moron
That whole sequence was so perfect. Coogler is such a talented director.
@@Maverick25ish that true I though he had no money to make that film
Dirt bike scene was the most motivational scene
+Jabril Jones bump.
bruhh almost cried
bruhh almost cried
bruhh almost cried
Gave me chills
Never a big Rockie fan but a great movie! The entire theater clapped at the end. Best line which drew a laugh was Creed's step mom saying "That's what I talking about!"
I was clapping at that line as well when she said that
+Carl Lubrin they laughed a lot when, "It's already up in the cloud." Rocky looks up
144Donn yeah clearly not a big fan. Cant even spell his name right.
144Donn how are you not a rocky fan and watch creed 😶😒
Chela Jimenez same reason how many people watch Marvel movies despite not reading the original comic books?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Michael B. Jordan should have been nominated for the Oscar for this. His acting was amazing, passed a lot of emotion.
No doubt
Caio Fabio Not Oscar worthy
@@nadroj1 i disagree but teaches own
Just watched it yesterday, what an outstanding film! The chemistry between Sly and MBJ is out of this world!
I think Sylvester Stallone wanted to be a boxer so bad but couldn't fight, and when he became an actor he fulfilled his unaccomplished dream throught acting, you see a passion in his eyes when he made all the rocky movies. A lot of people hate him calling him a wannabe, but give the man credit he gave us great movies and motivation throught his boxing movies, thanks rocky.
Can't wait for Black Panther, it's going to be amazing!!
Gustav Sørensen it's ready here
... It was good. Cant believe Captian America kills black panther.
puffer puffer ur doing a terrible job in trying to mislead from what actually happened🤦🏿♂️
And now he’s dead
Now we waiting on BP2!🔥
acting is so awkward. you have to be confident..
right!
+Solid B i was thinking exactly the same...
+Solid B Not if you're already awkward lol
It helps to step out of the mind space of being awkward and do something else
k.e.nza
It's already up in the cloud. haha
What claud?
The director Ryan is directing Black Panther......
I know it's gonna be good
Ha
The writers,directors,producers actors did a great job!!!👏👏👏
This movie was amazing. Honestly heart touching , motivational.
Creed was awesome. Watched him again today.
I love that director he had a dream to carry on the rocky series with a new face and he did it
Great actors! And Ryan Coogler shows so much enthusiasm on the set
That camera work in the second fight was incredible. Nice to get a look at the camera they used!
so much respect for stallone. love it
They worked so hard to get this right...nicely done!
RANDOLPHAMUS MAXL. This movie well done, all the characters were selected perfectly, It paid perfect homage to previous Rocky films never
05:45 This is the best part. Younger nowadays more famous actor(s) carefully listening the instructions of an old legend
Jordan did an awesome job. Very good movie.
saw the movie now and the dirt bike scene was very cool as they passed him doing wheelies. :)))))
Now I want to see this movie love how the director talks to the actors
they all did an excellent job. watched it twice
I like how Rock was playing with his favorite ball....ahh the old days
I saw the movie earlier today and have been watching Creed videos ever since
Good movie well put together and they had one of my fav boxers Andre "SOG" Ward
Tessa's character reminds me of Zoe Kravitz look wise. Then that song in there reminds me of something Zoe's group Lola Wolf would pump out.
She looks more like Rev Run's daughter, Angela Simmons.
+Avery Benson I thought that too! She has that east coast accent like her as well!
Omg yessssss
Musically and ascetically FKA Twigs comes to mind too.
right! when I was watching her character sing, I wondered if they were inspired by Lolawolf
Great film. Way better and than i expected! And 100x better than that BS southpaw movie
"southpaw nothin"
+Kevin Zhang I'll drop him in 3
BigboyDownStairs I I knocked southpaw off, so boring and dreary background music to match.
Southpaw is dope af wym
This is awesome I was on the set for 7 Days during the Big Boxing match. I am somewhere on the right side of the seating around 6:31 haha
just watched this movie and loved it
Coogler did Fruitvale Station on low budget and that movie was great as well he is definitely an underrated director the guy is genius
Man. I love this movie. Can't wait to see it again.
Ryan coogler, directed a movie considered to be the best Ive ever seen. Cant wait when he directs Black Panther!
Black director 🙌🏾
Gifted director.
brilliant director*
Why you people gotta say black or white director can’t you just say amazing director we’re all equal
@@horcrux9656 sure dont get treated like it
Is amazing how young the director is.
Isnt the guy who plays Ricky Conlan a real boxer?
Yup his name is Tony Bellew
yup. he is the new cruiserweight chamion of the world. he is from liverpool. the guy who plays leo the lion is also a real boxer from philidelphia. he fought ggg not long ago.
Andre Ward also played Danny Wheeler
I love the Rocky statue. And Rocky.
THIS MOVIE WAS SO FUCKING GOOD
Rocky Rocky Rocky
This movie is soo good I love it soo much
these show are not only great they teach as well...not the boxing side but life as it shld be..it attitude
I’ll be one of the greatest movie directors ever before I’m 35
tessa was a babe in this movie. she was a warrior too.
He has a great respect for Stallone. Paying attention
I really wish Silvester Stallone won an Oscar for his lifetime achievements in movie making. He is a legend!
That girl reminds me of the Lynn girl on Girlfriends)
+Choka Johnson she reminds me of the sister off the cosby show
+vincent seidle it is her daughter
Lisa Bonet's daughter is Zoe Kravitz. The actress in the movie us Tessa Thompson.
she looks sort of like Angela Simmons too
Awesome movie. Watching it was like a pleasant experience of deja vu. Got the same feeling I had when I was a kid watching Rocky 1-4 and any Bruce Lee movie; afterwards, I wanted to cause glorious mayhem.
Stallone fantástico!!!!
Here you can see what a great actor Stallone is.
Ryan Coogler is such a young talented director, expected to see how great the Black Panther will look like.
this movie is sick the way he put leo down
I loved this movie when I first saw it, around 2016-2017.
it's directed VERY WELL.
VERY well I tell you.
It's not simply a sport movie.
And the scene where he is chased by the motorcycles? I was so afraid they run Michael over ahah
The 5 minutes long shot with Sporino? Awesome stuff.
Coogler got footwork!
This is dope now I see how they make
Movies
Ryan Coogler 😍😍
Trop style la scène avec les motos cross et les quad
dang man, I knew they green screened the final fight!!!!
This was fun!
Yoooo conrads entrance is dope !!
Ryan ain't built for our Philly weather, he's wearing like 8 layers of clothes hahaha
4ever Rocky
This movie was so goddam good
that part where sly said we all know you could murder this guy... Im dead
Dang I wish I was an actress in some good movies! How fun.
Omg I wish I part of the audience on that movie
Ryan might have be the Director but Sly was definitely directing all the fights scenes :). Can't wait for this movie
+Screamin' Lisa I can tell you, having just watched the movie, Stallone did not direct the fight scenes. Don't go there expecting a Rocky movie. It was a great movie, but it has a different tone and the fight scenes do not play out or look the same. Stallone mastered the boxing scenes in Rocky Balboa. He specifically stated he wanted the fight in Rocky Balboa to look so real that no one would ever be able to match it, and I don't think they ever will. But Creed was awesome. Go see it.
+bandit7498 saw it yesterday. Totally impressed. Saw some interviews that one particular fight scene was shot in one take. I bet you know which one I am talking about. Great movie!
+Screamin' Lisa I was in the Background Sly barley told the director what to do there were REAL Boxing Trainers on set.
+Tara B oh no doubt. I just figured Sly being Sly would have thrown in his input. Lol. So excited they used real boxers. The movie was great!
+Tara B t
damn that's a young director! awesome job
awesome movie - well done
Loved this movie.
Je savais pas que On pouvait aller voir le tournage
Carl weathers was incredible, hope Jordan Will too
those tights at the end though 😂😂
good job on the movie I liked so mush
Imagine being a young director directing Sylvester Stallone in a boxing movie 😅
Im gonna love this movie
Silvester stallone recordará cómo hacía sus películas y el de subía al ring
Salute!!
Check this movie if you haven't, it's great
Ay yo sly great movie!
8:33 For a second I thought it was Burt Young passing behind the actors.
That was a good movie!
i totally want to watch this 🎥
I wonder if everything in the boxing scenes all real? All the hits in de face.. I cannot tell yet. Very curious :)
that end scene was funny af
spoilers... rocky will train him.. :P
Oh no i can't believe it, craziest thing I've heard all day
What the fuck? I expected to Creed train Rocky
6:59 look at that stud. No homo but for 70 he looks fuckin good!! Lmfao
Camera man is on point.
I like tomy bellew when he retires i want him to do a podcast or be in the booth ringside bellew is very intelligent
