Randy the tow truck would work great for you, you can tow two cars at once and if you don't need it then you can turn around and sell it for a profit. The 7.3 is a great motor and a stick shift on top of it makes it better. The back lift is called a wheel lift. The PTO is what runs your bed and lift and winch, the two prong plug in the front is to plug in your jump cables to jump start cars also a aluminum bed which is good. Bid on it.
X2 on the "Bid on that one". Also, the rear wheel lift is often called a "stinger" by people in the towing industry. Also, this truck has controls on both sides! Not all of them do. That's a very big deal to tow drivers

Randy, the silver bubble material on the travel trailer windows is often called “Reflectix”, and is used to reduce heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter to help increase the effectiveness of the air conditioner and/or furnace.

A friend I know has a Chevy truck with a flatbed hauler. One is a 1994 model with a 6.5 litre turbo diesel, a 1998 with a 5.7 litre petrol engine, the other is a 2002 Silverado 3500 6.6 turbo diesel with an Allison automatic transmission. The other two, the 1994 has a 5-speed manual transmission and the 1998 has a 4-speed Automatic overdrive transmission.
The F550 would be a great addition to the channel and save you a lot of time and work to get cars home
the PTO on that toe truck is for the hydraulics for the bed and the wheel lift.

One thing about the flatbed wrecker....
You could haul more than one car at once. One on the rolloff and one on the boom or the trailer on the back. I know you buy more than one at times...and you have the new building site to move to...
Also the camper will come in handy on the building site when you want to stay on location or have someone stay there on guard.
The corrugated hose is most used for grey water and used to empty the black water tank... usually right before you leave a campground.

The Rockwood, you could go to a dealer and borrow a red master key to open the door as long as the deadbolt isn't looked. No need to damage the door anymore.

Always jump the closest battery to the starter on dual battery vehicles. If you jump from the farthest battery you have to build juice in two batteries instead of one. Also the part on the back is called a wheel lift or a stinger. Love the channel keep up the iOS work

Randy there us no oven because they have realized that most people don't use it except for storage. Some people even remove the stove. Most camping folks cook outside completely.
Sometimes you have to use 2 hands to open them. Push in as you try to open. My 2013 Rockwood is that way.

Hi Randy! You should indeed place a bid on the Ford F550! 😉
All the pto does is take power from the rotation of the transmission to run the hydraulic pump that works the hydraulics for the bed. It does not mean that it will take off on you. I could be wrong but, I believe the term power takeoff means you take power off of the engine. Also, if you notice the longer you let your battery pack sit on there the easier the truck was cranking. I think if you would have left it a minute or two that thing would have fired right up.
That plug is for jumper cables that you can remove and use as necessary you need to buy the tow truck

Start the truck next to the rollback, jumper cables in one of the trucks also your battery pack. Glow plugs have to warm up.

I suspect the electrical attachment that you thought was for a front winch is actually a plug for jumper cables. tow trucks jump cars frequently so they have these attachments to plug in jumper cables.
The 87 should be able to stay cool. Make sure you keep the front windshield and reflective coverings on all the windows it helps tons. Worst comes to worst a portable ac unit does wonders. Rockwood is a pretty good manufacturer of travel trailers also.

I can start and stop it from inside. I had an enclosed insulated box made to mount on the rear if my rockwood signature ultra light to insure it was quiet enough and protected from theft Have had it set up this way since 2008 and it works perfectly.

That Ford F-550 has desired options. AM/FM stereo radio with CD 💿 Compact Disc player, 6-speed manual transmission air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, electric mirrors. Would be a nice truck to have. I have friends in the car business and they bought the Dodge/Ram, Ford F-Series, Chevrolet, GMC trucks. A friend I know bought a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with a flatbed and auxiliary tow. Bought the truck at an auction in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 the speedometer and gages are metric. Kilometers per hour large, miles per hour small, odometer registers in Kilometers. The coolant and transmission temperature gage is in Celsius, the oil pressure gage is in KiloPascal. The truck has a Power Takeoff, the transmission is an Allison automatic which is the transmission used on both the Chevrolet and GMC Heavy-duty trucks. F550 looks like the owner cared about the truck. Paint is decent for the age and the interior too. Might have to fix the E-Brake but it might be a decent truck for picking up cars to bring them home

The " loose " table is so you can make it into a bed. Sometimes they remove the oven for more storage and put a convection microwave for the oven .

Bid on the F-550, that setup is great and would work very well. That's just my opinion.
That tow truck would make life much better for you I would say get it. You can take two cars with it, one on the flatbed and one on the sling in back at the same time! That would also help you a lot. Plus with a car on the flat bed you are not towing anything so you can drive faster on long trips! I think those top out at 90 with the governor’s on them!
I like the F550 for a guy that wouldn't get tired of driving a beat up old manual truck. I'd rock it, but a lot of people wouldn't.
The tow truck is worth the experiment. Plus maybe you could take 2 with you from the auction, one on the ramp and one on the trailer

you should get the recovery truck as would make your life so much easier than having to hook the trailer up every time you pick up a new vehicle and always worth having the trailer as a spare when the truck is off the road for any reason

Be careful with that bug deflector. My husband’s 1999Ford F-150 had one and i don’t know if the deflector wasn’t installed properly or what but it prevented us opening up the hood. He broke the deflector to get the hood open.

The tow truck you will find is extremely expensive on insurance license and maintenance. Also those require ODOT inspections. Cheaper to pay someone to tow your shit.

That's not a block heater connection. It's a pre wired hook up for a set of jumper cables. Had the same plug set up on the tow truck I used to drive

I believe the lever on the floor by the PTO is the parking brake on the rollback. Growing up my dad had a couple wreckers and thats how they were ,flip the PTO on, then flip that lever to set the brakes. I never really knew how they worked, so I could be talking out of my ass, but I think that holds brake pressure on each wheel hydraulically, opposed to just the rears with the stock one cable actuated one. I think that truck would have had the transmission mounted parking brake drum assembly, if it wasn't deliberately deleted for some reason it probably had issues they didn't brother to fix, or they could have swapped in another zf6 trans from a f250/f350

17:31 That 99 F550 tow flatbed truck is in alot better shape then 03 F450 one few weeks with bad wiring under hood I'd say get flatbed save time getting things from Copart back & forth plus u can start another business helping people need a boast off or broke down on side of road. Now know it's 21 year tow truck & needs some rear tires but if good price snag it up.

I think the one catagory you've been waiting on has finally come. It seems right place right time mostly for that rollback. It's right in the middle on the condition scale but will most likely power through any task you could need it for after basic maintenence possibly Great walk around anyways

Most trailer roofs are designed to take abuse, the vent covers are designed for easy replacement, I wouldn’t worry about hail damaging the roof the trailer is to new. Most travel trailers and rvs have insufficient ac capacity that’s why they have hookups for a second unit or for upgrading the current unit for more btus. You need to run smart vent fans which remove heat from the roof area and automatically close when they sense rain.
