- This is a full review of the Helm Vanuatu. I own the watch after a few months on a waitlist. Is it worth the wait? I think so.

This is a watch with a cult following. It has legendary stats and is difficult to obtain, but if you succeed in doing so, it’s like beating that final boss in a game…it feels GOOD.

Just received my Helm VanuatuTi, today. Initial impressions are a quality built watch, delivered and packaged exceptionally. The included bits are a further testament to Helm's customer care, IMO. I was surprised that the watch wears well in size, fitting my old Swede/carpenter wrist nicely. I wouldn't want it any smaller as it is a tool watch and good visibility should be a priority. I'm very pleased.
Great to hear! The overall package does indeed deliver above and beyond 👍🙂
Just bought one 2nd hand. I've got an Omega Seamaster brand new, Tudor Black Bay Fifty Eight and a Breitling Superocean Heritage 2. This thing quite honestly shows my Swiss Offerings up, almost making me feel like a materialistic prat! Not saying this is as good, but given the price, the Helm is just off the scale amazing value.
Great video, subscribed and thankyou as my purchase was based on your video. 👍
I couldn’t agree more, amazing value for money and I’m so glad the video helped! Thanks for your comment, it’s so nice to hear stories like this 🙏👍
I just received notification that my number came up in next weeks Vanuatu Ti drop. That put my wait at almost one year. I have to admit that I am very excited. I have wanted a SAR like tool diver for years, and the Ti build is just an added bonus.
I also have to compliment you on your video quality. Well done.
Awesome, it will have been worth the wait I think. Particularly since the steel version is quite heavy, you’ll have the best of both worlds here. Thank you for the compliment 🙂👍
Excellent videography! Enjoyed the review, started my Helm journey with the Khuraburi, have both stainless and titanium Vanuatu, just waiting on my name to come up for the Komodo and my collection will be complete.
Wow that’s awesome! Thanks for the kind words too 🙂👍🏻
My pleasure best wishes. 🙂
Great summary and videography. I just bought one today:)
Congratulations!!
Thanks so much for this informative review and introducing me to this brand. I’m now on the waiting list!
Great to hear and thanks so much for your kind words 🙂
A beautifully shot review! I'm on the helm list at number 2500! Helm said maybe next year I can order!
Thank you and wow, it’s getting Rolex bad!
I put my name on list over the weekend. My number is 6500 😑
We have very similar taste in watches. I have a Pelagos, a Seaforth and I'm on the Vanuatu Ti waiting list. Your tastes are great! HAHA! I heard you say in another video that you have a Grand Seiko. Nothing in that camp for me... Yet?
Just putting the finishing touches on y Snowflake review! That will tempt you 😉
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Uh-oh. HAHAH. With maybe the exception of the power reserve indicator, I have always loved the dial of the SBGA211. I ultimately went with the Aqua Terra to fill that spot in the lineup. But never say never, right?
My number just came up after 2 years. Just got the code through and ordered without hesitation. Can't wait.
Nice, enjoy 🙂
Awesome macro! This is such a cool watch; just wish I could buy one. I'm on the list so someday I hope to own one.
Thanks mate! It was only about 3 months and a bit on the waitlist so stay strong 😉
If you want a proper, ISO-certified dive watch that is as straight-up TOOL watch, you cannot beat the Vanuatu at any price. Its beauty lies in its over-engineered, pure form-follows-function design. If you actually had to go diving, you'd pick this over a Tudor Black Bay every time. It's a beast for 10% of the cost of the Tudor, or about 2% of the cost of a Rolex Submariner. It's a $1,500 watch for $300. Absolutely worth the money, absolutely worth the wait, and an all-around fantastic watch regardless of the price point.
I have reviewed that one as well, it’s a lovely watch
wow what a great review- very professional and informative but with a very friendly and relaxed style.Reminds me of early Hodinkee. I have a Komodo and Helm are without doubt one of the best value watches on the market - as you point out if you can source one. Subscribed
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Just got notice that mine will be ready in a few days!
Great review, I like your Calming demeanour. I'm also on the waiting list for all models but the komodo is my favourite. Subscribed 👍
Thanks very much, before you know it…that email offer will come 🙂👍
I’m on the wait list for this watch but I do own the Helm Khuraburi and it’s definitely an amazing watch 👍🏻
How long did you wait for it?
@@schiomigadj still waiting LOL 😂
@@1968jpy lol, no I meant Khuraburi
Great review and watch - subbed👍
Thank you!
Nice video, with excellent videography.
Thanks very much, truly appreciated 👍
Amazing video review, professionally made! I just ordered mine after maybe almost a year on the waiting list. Joke aside but it might be easier to get a Rolex than Helm, lol. Nevertheless, incredible value for the money. I'm surprised that it keeps the same price despite all the havoc caused by the pandemic. This watch can be easily sold for at least $400 (not that I complain, I'm just trying to be objective).
Looking forward to putting it on my wrist.
Thanks so much, really appreciate it! Yes I couldn’t agree more on all your points, and the value is truly incredible here. We are so lucky to have Helm 👍👍
Impressive footage
Great review
Thank you very much 🙂
nice watch...problem is you can't get them, the waiting list is close to 4000 people long
I hear you, it is frustrating. Hopefully you get yours soon.
Great vid
Thanks very much 👍🏻
These are such an incredibly clean design. Fantastic value for money !
Can't believe it's a Surf watch ! lol Most of us would have a Seiko or Vostok for that.
Why not a Casio ? Because heat and salt water KILL the Casio rubber dead !!
They are awesome aren’t they! Thanks for your comment 👍🙂
Lug-to-lug of 46mm?? Helm state 50mm? (sitting on the waitlist)
Hmmm…I might have stuffed that up, sorry mate!
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews no worries! Had a "that's too small for me" moment....!
i am lucky to have had one for close to a year now. if i could change a couple things, it would be the case thickness and the movement. i would have paid a bit more for a selita or better movement. the thickness is a bit of a turnoff, maybe they could kill two birds with one stone. overall, i still really enjoy the watch
I agree with you, a little less ‘Heft’ would be 👍🏻
Way too many marker lines on dial and bezel.
They have some alternative bezel designs too. Thanks for your comment.
$ 285 for a nh35 watch plus a waiting list.
Yep, and 100s of people on said waitlist 🤷♂️
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews thousands even two years after you make this review
@@trailrunnermike crazy right…
@ it was so long ago that I got on the list that I forgot about the watch. I’m going to get the Vanuatu in Ti.
