    Always enjoy watching you cook, and just generally seeing what you eat in any given video. A lot of other Van Dwellers or RVers on UA-cam don’t bother to cook half as much as you do, and when they do it’s just a box of a frozen meal already prepared... or a bag of processed frozen whatever. A little bit of effort and you can cook yourself a much better meal, and I’m sure your videos have shown a lot people how easy it can be to make something of a higher quality. Just because you live in a van or an RV, traveling across the country, doesn’t mean you can’t eat well.

    • @SPLINTBLIGHT
      @SPLINTBLIGHT 7 років тому +2

      Metalpug79 I was thinking the same thing. One of the worst problems with traveling is digestive upset, either way, if you know what I mean. Keeping to fresh, simple meals means easy quick preparation, easier cleanup, and keeps you going in a more normal way.

      i bet its also alot cheaper to. the biggest expense would be vanmans meat the produce he could buy as it come in fresh or as he travels.

    • @Metalpug79

      I always find it funny when the UA-camr will complain about people saying they eat poorly. They’ll say something like: “I only show you like 10% of the meals I eat, you don’t see when I eat better”... ummm, you control what you show us, so why do you show us what you’re cooking every time you’re eating something horrible? lol oh that’s right, cause you actually do eat crappy all the time.

    Thanks for another great video! When I watch your videos, I never want them to end I guess because I feel like you bring us right into your life. It's got to be a better gig to drive a truck than to do any of the jobs in the yard. Must make it much more bearable. Can't wait to see a sunrise??? Stay rested and know we'll be patiently waiting to hear from you again.

    Once I saw a line forming up the street from my apartment. I found it was a queue to apply for a factory job. I slipped two hard boiled eggs in my pockets to eat in line. It was winter and cold as heck. The hard boiled eggs hold heat a long time and worked great as hand warmers then later as a snack. I got the job. The hot eggs in my locker were a lifesaver.

    Pretty cool you landed a gig driving a truck for the harvest (even if it was last minute and stressful since you had to do a switcheroo). That's the kind of gig I'd like to get if I did it. With my back jacked up I couldn't take being on my feet all day for 12 hours.

    Nice video as always. You have a real gift of being able to make your audience feel like part of your videos. Thanks... Sounds like you'll be working your self pretty hard but driving truck sounds like a better way to spend a 12 hour shift. Just be sure to stay awake, it's going to take some serious coffee.
    Hey, an easier way to make easy to peel eggs is to put the eggs in cold water, bring to a boil, then put on the lid and remove from heat. Then just leave the lid on for ten minutes and you've got great easy peel eggs. That's from Rachel Ray the TV cook, it works great... Drive safely and best wishes Cheryl

  • @ChrisRI1000
    @ChrisRI1000 7 років тому

    Want a perfectly boiled egg? Put the eggs in before boiling and once they start boiling let it go for 7 minutes then run under cold water immediately. Works on extra large eggs and you won't end up with rubbery off colored eggs. For easy peeling you can do one of two things. Either buy slightly older eggs or if you want really fresh eggs then crack the shell all around the egg and run a large spoon under the shell and its membrane.

    Hi Brian... thanks for the tour of the camp area. IIRC, small crock pots do not use much power, so you might be able to use it when you are off grid... via an inverter. That way, you could be cooking while driving. Hope you have a good harvest there.

    Least waistful method of egg boiling is good rapid boil for two min then simmer with top for maybe 15 min, if cooking multiple thing flip lid to a second pot cooking and lay eggs in pot on top to keep it simmering

    I am soooo jealous,but in a good way,and thankful for showing all of use theres more to life than than slaveing away at a job ,because lets face it you never really own a house even if you spend thirty years paying for it and finally pay it off ,if you get sick or run into hard times you will lose it to taxes,water and sewer ect. with your life style it,s where ever you lay your hat is home,which when you really can let go of your fear of the unknown( which you really still have even in a house,sickness,bad investments,lose your job) you can be free,I am sure theres still things to worry about,but hey lets face it ,if for some reason you cant handle your neighbor,our what ever move on ,thank you so much for making these vids.
