  • FINAL Episode 4: (Day 4) We Found TAMMY GOFF. After three days of searching the Missouri River, we just couldn't go home without one more day of searching. Sadie was the one clue that we just couldn't let go of.
Tammy Goff had been a Missing Person in Great Falls, MT for almost 3-years after leaving early one morning with her best friend Sadie from the home she shared with her husband Bob of 42 years.
With an inflatable boat rigged with underwater sonar, AWP follows every cell phone ping and Sadie (Tammy's Dog) sightings in hopes of finding Tammy and her truck.
This series documents Adventures With Purpose's 4-day search alongside Tammy's husband, following the clues her dog Sadie left behind, leading to the discovery of where Tammy and her truck had gone missing in the river these past few years.

    =====================
Goff was last seen leaving her home in the 2100 block of 7th Avenue in Great Falls, Montana on July 12, 2018. That morning her husband saw her loading their German Shepherd mix, Sadie, into her black four-door 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck with the Montana license plate number 2-93204A and stickers in the back window and on the back bumper. A photo of the truck is posted with this case summary.
Goff drove south on Wilson Butte Road, and did not return to her residence. Her husband tried to call her an hour and a half after she left, and she didn't answer. They had inherited her husband's father's home and his three pets, and had rehomed his two dogs, but his elderly cat, Mouse, was still living at the residence. Goff's husband went to his late father's home to see if Goff was there. He found food and water in Mouse's dishes, but there was no sign of Goff or Mouse.
Mouse was never seen again and it's unclear what happened to the cat and whether its disappearance is related to Goff's disappearance, or even if Goff visited her late father-in-law's residence that day. About 32 hours after Goff left her home, Sadie was found on Hawk Drive about four miles south of Great Falls. Witnesses reported having seen the dog on both sides of the Missouri River that day. There was no sign of Goff.
Since Goff's disappearance, her truck has not been located until today.
Bob and Tammy were high school sweethearts and Bob's love for Tammy never faded as you'll see in his kind words and desire for nothing more than to find Tammy.
Sadie was the smoking gun in our search. She never left Tammy's side for over 20 hours pacing in and out of the water at the river bank looking for her best friend.
Our final day of searching took us back to this 1/4 mile stretch of river where we had been many times before.
Working with the Sheriff's Office, AWP used their salvage lift bags to float the truck and was pulled upriver by the Sherriffs boat to a boat ramp with tow truck waiting.
Bob now has Tammy home who was laid to rest July 11th next to her parents in Great Falls, Montana.
Hug the ones you love and reach out to those in need.
We are humbled by the opportunity all of you have given us to help Bob and his family in the search for answers as to what happened to Tammy.

This is Bob Goff. I will put out a few comments here hoping that the members who have been so great
supporting Jared, Sam and Doug will have at least soon partial answers to their comments. First, Mouse
was never found. One window of the truck was down and possibly Mouse was inside and floated away?
We never had any neighbors, animal shelter or other evidence she was any place else. Second, I did go back
to the waypoint of the "object" I was poking with a stick that I thought was Tammy's truck. That object was still
there but only about 70' downstream from where Jared and Sam found the truck! Third, we were able to lay Tammy
to rest near her Mom and Dad that she visited often. Some of Sadie's ashes were put in next to Tammy.
We in Tammy's family now can turn a page thanks to AWP and their supporters. Thank you so much.

Hello, I am a sincerely grateful for all the nice comments sent on my families behalf.
They really help. Putting Tammy's story out there for everyone to see is not easy but I
do feel better now about choosing to do it. People say I have a little extra something
that they haven't seen for a while. I don't feel guilty about smiling and maybe laughing.
I would like to say to the families still dealing with a missing loved one, don't ever give up.
The day Jared and Sam found Tammy and the truck was day I least expected it to happen.
We had been over that area dozens of times. How could we have missed her? Don't give
up. Don't look passed the obvious. On another note, to the people out there dealing with
depression and/or chronic pain, I wish I could tell you something easy to try but I don't
know what that is. I do know that there is lots of help available . Please take advantage of it. Your
family really, really needs you to be strong. Thank you all so much for following Tammy's story. Bob

Also for AWP going the extra distance of searching were they finally did, just to cover Sadie's tracks. 💗 Love and prayers sent your way. Ok, this is my first time posting on anything.

Bob, I'm so sorry about your wife Tammy. So relieved they found her so that you & family can finally close the chapter of unknowns. Being in limbo & grieving must have been horrendous. I have a few
      QUESTIONS to ask:
I noticed you mentioned that Tammy had chronic pain twice? I don't want to pry on social media, however is there any way I could reach out via email so that I can ask a few questions about her physical condition that caused her to have pain and if she had problems with pain treatment by her medical doctor? I ask bc I belong to an organization that offers support to those of us who have diseases or injuries that cause extreme daily pain and who have been the unintended consequence of the war against opioids (Illegal). Most of us have lost our medication that lowered our pain so we had a more quality life, due to the CDC Guidelines in 2016. The govt has had a hand in all of this, leaving thousands to commit suicide bc they lost the ability to access legal opioid medication. I know, that taboo word that makes people immediately & reflexively think of addiction! But they are a necessity medication and has been for a thousand yrs. 20-50 million are being discriminated against for simply being unfortunate to have chronic, disabling pain. I have a feeling your wife may have been mistreated by her medical doctor. If I'm off base than disregard & I apologize.
But if some of what I am saying has some truth to it, can we communicate via email? It can be totally anonymous. I hate to impose, but if there is more to this story it may help others. Majority of others who have been cut off or forced to taper from a medication that was taken as prescribed and helped to enjoy life in some small way. Work, play with our children, grandbabies, walk our dog, cook, clean, shower, simple things people who are healthy take for granted. I belong to a national group called, "Don't Punish Pain". If there is any chance your wife may have lost her life partly due to physical pain, bc she was suffering & it became too much to bear, plz feel free to email me. I manage my state group of chronic pain patients w/over 600+ and our national group is 20,000+ who have all been forced to suffer needlessly & cruelly.
I don't expect healthy people to understand unless they become a pain patient one day themselves. Unfortunately it appears no one cares unless they develop incurable pain. I apologize if I have said too much here or if I'm jumping to any conclusions, but your message about your wife's chronic pain led me to reach out. I know how constant pain can eat at your soul, and cause depression and suicide ideation. But if that is not the case with your wife, plz know your story has impacted so many. We need more people to empathize with those who are suffering, whether mentally or physically. You're suicide message really resonated with me. Being in pain (physical, mental anguish) is lonely thing, and very isolating.
If anyone reading this knows someone who is suffering from pain that is not being properly treated feel free to find us on FB. And Bob feel free to reach out to me if you like.
danaw41@gmail.com (others plz no spam!) Take care & God Bless

She had made comments about how she had picked a spot where she would be able to go into the water and no one would be able to find her. She was almost right bc there were searches for her. That area had been searched multiple times but her truck was hiding. The spot she was in wasn't a spot they would've ever thought it could be. The very first episode I paused and read the written information about Sadie and when I saw she was wet, pacing and distressed I knew that’s where Tammy would be. Bobs love for his wife has no barriers. He was accepting and understanding of her mental health in the most beautiful way. I hope he finds peace now he can lay his wife to rest. I find some degree of comfort that Sadie knew, understood & had an opportunity to mourn before cancer took her. This story really got to me. Maybe it was the dedication of the dog. Dogs are the ultimate judge of character & ultimate example of loyalty to the worthy. Tammy was clearly a wonderful person deserving of this dogs assessment.
