I have a very similar car. With regards to the air suspension..In the 'CAR' menu in MMI on the top left hand corner you can raise or lower the suspension via the suspension airbags. First raise the car then go for a short drive and the suspension should automatically lower above a certain speed. Go back to the yard and raise then lower the suspension. If there is an issue with the pump or airbags this will trigger the fault code and throw a light on the dash. Happened to me and I cleared the code and has never come back....yet!
Recently bought a 2015 A6 Black edition estate. I really like the car and can see me keeping for a long time. It does everything so well, comfy, good looks, economical and space for my 2 kids and all the luggage. Amazing cars!
That car reminds me of Mohammed Ali when he was fighting George Foreman back in '74. He waited and waited and waited until the eighth round before striking the knockout punch!
Has the battery been replaced? I’ve seen low batteries produce all sorts of weird problems on Audi’s. Maybe the dealer took it on trade and replaced the battery or cleaned the terminals and it’s fine now. You never know.
And the cheap sort of people who lease these things from new, tend to skimp a lot, never had more than 1/4 tank of fuel, you'll find cheap tyres and a battery that's needed jump starting every morning for the last 3 years.
The A6 is a fantastic car, I have a 2016 3.0 TFSI (supercharged) its a beast, I love it, I’m considering going for stage one ECU reprogramming, should bump it to 447 hp ¿should I do it? ¿what else should I consider?
Drives with no issues? Id say its a faulty sensor! Get the transmission up to temp, try motorway and intown driving with busy traffic, if you can not physically feel any issues but the error code does come back, then i would check sensors before looking at overhauling the transmission. also change out the trans fluid as that may be burnt out and causing the fault error. need to go on a 20-30 mile runout really. 4 miles will not do it. Sounds more like a pressure fault or electrical rather than mechanical. Great video by the way. I, off out now to replace my clutch on the roadside :( wish me luck!
Lots of cheap cars if you know where to look in March I bought a 2 owner 2015 bmw 320d m sport tourer in grey, full bmw history 19 alloys, hi spec I sold it for £6900 also a 2014 insignia sri, petrol 1,8 genuine 44,000, sold it for £2600 and a 2005 golf 1,4s a 3 owner car in black paid £250 for it sold £600.all hpi clear
I would look into the service history. See what work has been done. Has the faults been fixed? Get car in air and see if gearbox has been off. Check for new air bags or air pump. All common issues on Audi's.
Battery issues????? As others have said also, my A6 had all kinds of weird faults caused by a failing battery. Does it have a new battery? or perhaps it was discharged too far.
Try checking for any pending codes, a lot of the times the car's computer will store the errors until it's confirmed that the issue is fixed. Though, given that this video is 8 months old, I'm assuming the car is already fixed.
Did the trans fault reappear? One of the sneakiest dl501 faults is a selector position sensor malfunction, the car can drive fine for miles until the gear oil in the mt compartment of the trans gets hot, and then it won’t know if it’s in D or R orP and won’t move at all
Agreed! An OE climate panel and a bit of coding and job is a good'un. Component protection might be the reason for not doing that if they were doing it on the cheap.

I’ve owned solely Audi 100’s and A/RS6’s for going on 35 years (I must be mad), and IMHO the biggest thing I’ve learnt is not to buy early model year cars. For example the C6 A6 3.0 tdi based car had over 300 factory modifications between introduction in 2004 and the last year in 2011. Including important mods to power train and electronics that dramatically increased reliability. If you want a sorted (as new), and this goes for all Audi’s, buy a late model year car. i.e. a 2011 c6 not a 2011 c7. There are loads of electronic issues with early c7 cars. Just look at the forums. I do miss my old 100 Quattro Turbo Avant.
This could turn out to be a very cheap car if the disclosed faults have been cleared and haven't come back yet. I guess it's going to be a case of running it and seeing what, if anything, comes up. A lot of people won't touch an Audi with certain faults displaying, which is probably why this one went to auction.
