You had me at Disney and Paintball! Also we named our son Oliver after Oliver Lang! We sent in a baby shower invite to Hormesis and they sent us back an awesome gift!! This was so awesome to hear come from Alex himself!
No way!!!! How cool is that. Congratulations on baby Oliver! A legendary name.
"living a secret life" is the perfect description for playing paintball back in MS and HS.
I couldn't agree more. It's like being a super hero, right? No one knows what we do and how special the sport really is.
ALEX is a great dude. For sure a legendary man in paintball.
FACTS!
Alex is such an incredible human being. Kind hearted, generous, passionate, creative. It’s been a pleasure getting to know him more on and off the field off the past couple years!
Great work Dan! Keep it up!
Forget the paintball community… the WORLD needs more Alex’s in it! He’s such a good soul.
Alex is one of the best, finally met him at Cup and he was nice enough to let me have his band after Dynasty lost in the semis. Forever grateful, what an incredibly important icon for this game.
Wow!!!! What a treasured piece of memorabilia. Save that forever!
Wow.. I’m only half way through at this point, but it gives so much meaning and reason behind the GAP magazine. I’m picking up at least one copy to keep in my work office to help people understand my 5-9 after my 9-5. What a great way to portray paintball !! 🎉
I did the same Drew!!! I keep a copy on my desk at work to show co-workers and really validate what I do and what the sport is. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for tuning in!
Great vid W Alex! OG Top G
Great interview! Lot of things caught my attention, but one is the "secret life" part. I play in Guadalajara, weekend "GI Joe" games in small fields, but the feeling is the same that you both describe: Having an alternate life and family on those playgrounds that those who don't play can't understand, and none of us (who play) can really explain.
Im so glad you resonated with that. It really feels like a double life. Almost like being a super hero in a way? Where no one knows what you do. There's definitely a nice mystique about people not knowing...BUT I wish we could share more of what we do with those people! A weird spot to be in. haha
@@Shellda Yeap! You are doing a great job at that, congratulations! I'll binge on your interviews in the next days.
@Fafahrd 🤜🤛 appreciate you.
Great interview , very interesting and thoughtful dude is Alex.
Appreciate the watch! Alex is an incredible human. Paintball is SO lucky to have him.
Fantastic Show great content as always and great to hear from Alex
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for always tuning in Paul.
Another banger Dan! Thanks for highlighting the DCC. Truly one of my favorite experiences as a paintball nerd.
Nothing like it in the world! And to be part of the DCC now? Unreal. People will regret not being in it one day!
Great episode❤
Another great episode 🎉
Thanks for always being a supporter, Sal!
Fresh Eggs. Alex was one of the first Dynasty Pros I ever interacted with at Hollywood sports park around 2002. He has always been an amazing ambassador of the sport.
Love this!!!
Always love hearing from Alex. Loved the podcast
He is a legend!
It’s awesome seeing someone who to me is one of the pillars of the sport talk intimately about his journey in paintball!
Exactly!!!! It makes you appreciate the sport even more when the "titans" of the game give a vulnerable look.
@ that’s exactly it. Idk about you, but I also never get to see those “flop or fail” moments from big names like Alex. So to hear him talk about them and how he works past them gives me motivation.
@@arg-image9502 Exactly. We're all human. And we ALL fail. Even the greats of our sport. So I think it's really motivating when we hear people we look up to be vulnerable and give us a look into how they've failed, learned, and grown.
@ couldn’t have said it better myself bro 💪🏻
Mic drop!
Wonderful interview, thank you for the focus and attention on the questions/answers from both of you and the overall flow of it. Looking forward to listening to more.
Appreciate the watch Jason! It was incredible to get inside of the mind of Alex!
All of the Iconic Teams in Paintball need to have a Family Tree done.
Alex is probably my favorite player on Dynasty it’s between him and Blake
He would be honored to hear that. 🐲💙
Love the content!
Thank you!!! It was an amazing episode.
🔥
Appreciate you checking it out Pedro!
@ great stuff man - Alex the 🐐 - glad you started this project. Keep it up!
Plenty more on the way! :)
I spy an automag on the wall. In the process of trying to fix my minimag and upgrade the valve.
Good eye!!!
Fresh fuckin eggs!
