I love how Cliff had no idea he was listening to a comedy musician and played the reaction completely straight, as if it were intended to be taken seriously.
Daniel Thrasher is a genius, and I mean it. He's incredibly talented with music, acting and comedy. For your reactions I would recommend his video "When you write a song about hip hop" too!
I'm from Hungary, we don't really need to speak English here, so not many of us speak it, but I do, and still some rap songs sound like IGOWALLAH. Yes, I can understand them, if I pay a lot attention, but even if I understand the words, your expressions, slangs and speech trends change so quickly, that even the words that I understand don't make any sense for a non native speaker. That is why I like your channel for example, because you have already enlightened me about some of those expressions. What really surprises me though, is that you have songs that even you are not able to understand. In our language it is not that common, you can mumble and speak fast and whisper, it would still be understandable in Hungarian. I am glad you reacted to this song, I love Daniel, and I love you too.
Mexican here... Yes, rap sometimes sounds like that, specially fast rap. I need to check the lyrics and that's why I check reaction channels, I'm always discovering new phrases and meanings in songs. You should check more Daniel's sketches, specially his writing songs that already exist. Daniel is truly unhinged in the best way possible. Thank you for your reaction!!
Hopsin "no words" is also a wonderful example of the depth of detailed rap Skirt, skirt, reet, reet, xanax, lean. This song sounds like most "soundcloud" geniuses.
I understand most lyrics in English I hear, but when it comes to the hardest track *mumble, very strong accent from some parts of US and so on) this seems pretty accurate
Yes, this is exactly how rap sounds to non-english speakers. Most sounds like complete gibberish and you catch a word here and there (like mtv, austin powers etc.). He nailed it!
Nice video! If youre looking for more Daniel Thrasher to react to, I'd heavily recommend his "When you accidentally write a song that already exists" series. Theyre all hilarious and are worth the watch.
I sometimes listen to Eastern European hip-hop and as an English speaker I can sometimes understand them better than some American rappers, and they're speaking a different language lol. Riga Haute Coture rings a bell.
I found the video while I was high, and honestly have NEVER had a better time 😂 But yeah as a kid, a song would go like "I'll take you to the candy shop, bobbety bibbi-bob"
Before I had learned enough vocabulary, yeah... it was all noise with some things I had heard before occasionally, like "in the sky", "tonight", "never", "wanna" XD. Nowadays maybe I need to listen to a song a couple of times to understand everything, and if it's rap... maybe some songs are impossible for me no matter how much I listen to them haha.
YES! I was waiting for more people to react to it! Daniel Thrasher is a master of his craft and this is pretty accurate to how music in general sounded to me as a kid before I learned English
Not gona lie... that is how rap songs in languages that I don't know, and even those that I know but are not native to me sound, especially with strong accents. It's... really hard to feel where one word ends and the other starts so you might as well just scramble the sylabes away and I will go by the melody anyway cause mumbles and gibberish are what I hear.
Listen… I’m white AF. I’m not Eminem, Ren, Knox Hill, etc… so when I rap to my friends it sounds about like this song…. This song goes “HARD”. 😂😂😂😂 I’ll leave the rappin’ to the professionals and just enjoy their hard work and craft for what it is.
I'm German and I speak English pretty fluently. But when I listen to music and I don't understand the words, f.e. because it's fast rap music, it kinda sounds like this... So it checks out. I think, my brain is trying to fill in the blanks, but doesn't get it right fast enough. 😂
I love how Cliff had no idea he was listening to a comedy musician and played the reaction completely straight, as if it were intended to be taken seriously.
These are real reactions. I keep telling people 🤣
@@CliffBeatsOfficialvery pleasant that they are. Makes for some fun times
man the confusion on his face... 😂
Hes a skit comedian. His series on "when you accidentally write songs that already exist" is hilarious and he did the same with jingles.
Daniel Thrasher is a genius, and I mean it. He's incredibly talented with music, acting and comedy. For your reactions I would recommend his video "When you write a song about hip hop" too!
Also "nice guy" creeps must stop
is amazing
@@minnesotaman3is that someone else or a song or something? Very odd title if so.
I speak English and this is what Rap sounds live to me.
Do you exclusively listen to lil pump?

Ikr? Its not just that it sounds like this to foreigners...modern rap sounds like this TO US TOO. 😂

Hopsin "no words" is also a wonderful example of the depth of detailed rap

Not sure if you have reacted to his “Writing songs that already exist” series but it’s well worth a watch if you haven’t.

Yeah Hoodie Guy is a very unorthodox kind of musical genius
This is how most rap has sounded to me over the last few years, which is sad as I used to enjoy it years ago.
Do more Daniel thrasher. Especially his original songs series
Mumble rappers be like this.
Of course his series about writing songs that already exist is a classic. The first three afe the best, but they're all funny.

that video was one of the funniest things i've seen in a while lol love how the song gets even harder to understand as it progresses
😂 Spinker's... sorry that made me laugh.. now I'll continue watching 😜
No idea who cliff is. His reactions killed me😂 huge fan of Daniel tho
A lot of kids in my youth thinked that english song dont have words. Just gibberish. So yes. That very true.
YES! I was waiting for more people to react to it! Daniel Thrasher is a master of his craft and this is pretty accurate to how music in general sounded to me as a kid before I learned English
the linguists with the dictionary and magnifying glass got me good
Not gona lie... that is how rap songs in languages that I don't know, and even those that I know but are not native to me sound, especially with strong accents.

Lol, I was like "Holy shit is that William Osman? No way" at the beginning but YES WAY, what a cameo :D.
Please please please, at some point check out "children of god" by "Andrew Jackson Jihad". The most upbeat WTF youve heard😊
Daniel Thrasher is a treasure!!!
Is a rap in simlish
Listen… I’m white AF. I’m not Eminem, Ren, Knox Hill, etc… so when I rap to my friends it sounds about like this song…. This song goes “HARD”. 😂😂😂😂 I’ll leave the rappin’ to the professionals and just enjoy their hard work and craft for what it is.
It is exactzly like that for non English native speakers!
As a german yes it's pretty accurate, if I switch my mind off it sounds like this.
funny enough this is kinda what it's like for me to watch BTS
Igowallah has no right to slap as much as it does....I always wonder what people think when it makes on their song rec lists without context...
Pretty sure some of this is australian, lol
I’m an English speaker and rap still sounds like that to me.
Definitely should check out his series of "When you write a song that already exists" they're all so damn funny and clever.
Ok I know people have the right to dress however they want but damn why you wanna show your girl goodies to the world lol

Hi. I‘m german. This is not what I hear when I’m listening to Em, Busta, Kendrick
wtf
Next from Daniel I’d love to see you react to either “the after” or “shiny object syndrome”. Perhaps even “the wiener song”
Yo do his company jingle rewrites. They are brutal.
I could show that video to any of my friends (they don't speak English) and they will think that the lyrics are in English.
Brazilian here, self learned English (movies, videos, games and soo on) and yes, sometimes even non rap sounds like that.
I don't know about non English speakers, but this is how it sounded to me when I first started listening to rap, cos I'm old! 🥺🤣
Yeah it is. I'm french and sometimes this still like this XD
as someone said in chat of another video, this is how kpop sounds to me
Austin Powers!
💙

Omg his face when he started singing lmfao 😂😂😂😂
