This is just me but I think the devs were inspired by Killer Instinct's Ultra Combo finishers as in where any one of the characters unleashed a flurry of strikes on their opponents and sent them flying into the air as a last insult to injury.
They ARE the leader AND Brains or the team, Those 2 trained by Master Splinter more then Michaelangelo and Raphael. Their also.. .. the 2 older turtles
I REMEMBER THIS GAME My Friend in Oklahoma use to have this Game AND He KEPT Playing The shit out of that Concert level and didn't want to change out of it just being STUPID WITH IT BUT HEY!!!!! We had fun!(back in Oklahoma 1998/1999 or whatever Nostalgia

I was able to lock most fights up with Mike and beat the game without losing a single round and sometimes breeze through without being hit. Unlocked that wierdo lady boss with very little problems on the subway and kicked her butt too. Trick is spam the flip then the low light punch. Once you have the bar up let them jump in or do a move then do the super go through all of that crap no matter what it is and wipe them out. Mike's invincible frames on that super make him the playful SNK Evil Ryu of this game.
Eh... Cyber Shredder and Super Shredder in the same game. Nah. Karai is fine. But it makes sense for Shredder to be the NES' final boss since there's no C.Shredder.
I'm only against it because playing as a boss in a fighting game with other people isn't fun due to imbalance. C.Shredder is balanced compared to Rat King, Karai, and Armaggon.
Shredder was dead in the comics at this time, and this game takes heavy inspiration from them. The Shredder in this game is actually a clone, and Karai was the new leader of the Foot clan.
Might as well say that about all of the fighting games that came after Street Fighter, then. Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Fatal Fury, Virtua Fighter, all of them.

This game and Mighty Morphin Power Ranger The Fighting Edition are both underrated games.

Mikey is a awesome character from Teenage mutant ninja Turtles fighter Tournament on snes.
Way better than me. I used to main as Mike, but if I put in the code to make it super fast, I would choose Raph. I loved speed :)
