I remember my brother and i would play this game as kids on the SNES. Don,Aska and War were my go-to characters even though i'm terrible at fighting games.

This was special for a fighting game fan as me. A good exclusive fighting game for my Super Nintendo, not on arcades you could only play this on home which usually was the contrary.
It's not SNES exclusive. There was a Genesis version, but with different characters. But Aska is exclusive to *this* version. For some reason April O'Neill is a ninja is the other one.

Not sure why there was never a sequel to this game. I knew a number of people who played it back in the day, it got plenty of exposure. Would have been nice to see a PS1 sequel with an expanded roster.

Funny that now I just learned that this game is from 93. I thought it was 94. Shocking discovery because I always thought Yuri (from early 94) came first and invented some fanservice things in fgs as the karate gi cleavage, butt attack, a heavy kick that focus on the butt view (Yuri, Sakura... ) etc And fanservice aside, I believe this was really the first fg that made a super bar closer to the conventional idea: that has to be filled up to use the super. Unlike the AOF bar (the first super bar in fgs) that starts at max. Capcom only made supers in 94.

The two that don't have JP versions are Tournament Fighters (NES ver), and Turtles In Time (Arcade) It's being released on the PS4 and 5, Switch, Xbox series X, Xbox One, and Steam. And to top it all, it'll have a proper retail physical release, and won't be a Limited Run exclusive. It's all very exciting!

I really wanted to like this game growing up but I just couldn’t get into it like other fighters at the time. I think I’ll go back and give it a go again to see what I truly didn’t like about it. It seems pretty fun.
