I love your conclusion on the 17” guns. They seem to occupy the sweet spot between reliable penetration, turret weight, and fire rate. I am excited to see these ships in action.
Heavy cruisers and light cruisers were never really classified by Tonnage but rather by their Main gun caliber. However i dont think that there were any light cruisers that were heavier than the heavy cruisers of the time
Mogami class started life as a CL with 15 155-s to bypass the Washington treaty, and they had like what 15000 tons of standard displacement when build? So yeah comparing it to the treaty cruisers of the US capped at 10000 tons standard they were much bigger. (correction Wiki says they were 11000 standard, Myokos were almost 15k at a full load. Still bigger than US and UK heavies XD)
Lot of cool ship designs here. The Light Cruiser looks pretty versatile and both Battleships look amazingly powerful. Just what I would expect from both ship classes.
I love how the war ended also on the new classes of ships make sure the forward guns have good angles I might have seen it wrong but it looked like the could only fire within a small arc I could be wrong but just make sure thank you for the great video my friend

Hey stealth could you build a ship having reverse nelson arrangement of either 17 or 16 inch main guns , with little to no armour, but has a lot of speed( 32-34) knots , that way you shoot the enemy at range , while bravely doing some tactical repositioning, away from the enemy. The goal of the ship is to outrange, the enemy while being faster/ as fast as them
You know this is exactly My train of thought when I was seeing him build all his ships and why doesn’t he try that strategy just Luring the enemy away while shooting at them
I personally would continue with upgrading the shipyards as you can never go wrong with a monstrous shipyard for repairs, upgrads and building newer ones plus with the way you are playing this campaign it would help with building ships that have been sold to other countries. As for the new ships they are very intresting designs and I look forward to seeing them in action.
Nice video as always! I think you found the one good use-case for a CL other than as a target. I just checked and I have 422 CLs out of ~2.3K designs , I'm seriously pondering what kind of psychic damage I took from making them.
Your front turret on your 17 inch battle ship does not fire forward only to the sides according to the green fire zone showed when you placed the turret. The fore deck has a v wall on the bow obstructing the forward turret
I personnaly find the triple and double Hull useless. Don't get me wrong, it's a good modification, but it weight a lot, cost a lot and, most importantly, make the ship longer to built. With a Tier V torpedo bulb you have i think more than 85% torpedo damage reduction wich his enough in my opinion.
I feel like the new gen of CL's should have extended barrels due to the fact they are scouts and not suited for "close" encounter, that said the design looks promising 🙂 Regarding both the new gen BB's, you def should only have one or two command BB and going with the second one, which I really dig! 🙂
But those new battleships, those will on paper help you a lot. Because we need to put them to the test, ex: cursefish 1 that was on paper a good design, but in actual combat it flopped
I mean, it didn’t really flop. It did a job it wasn’t even designed for and it did that well actually. I don’t think he was even planning on using it much, if at all to begin with, so I’d say it did well.
@@Stealth17Gaming thank you for the answers, cool China campaign btw. Really nice to watch whilst doing some mundane tasks. Getting into the game, it's a lot of fun, but also a lot of learning.
hey Stealth, that may be just a thing of me, but could you make the intros, in the moment you have the "old filter" on, a bit more high res? Sometimes its hard to understand what is happening
I'm getting fed up with how buggy this game is. Played the un-modded version today. Enemy task force, 9 km torpedoes. My BBs safely at about 12 km, screened by DDs. Suddenly a pack of wild torpedoes appears and hits my BBs which are still farther away than 9 km. WTF? And no, it wasn't an undetected DD because my DDs were screening the part of the sea where the torps came from. Not to mention other situations when a BB gets hit with a tiny partial penetration and falls out of the line as if it was torped. Just so buggy.
If you’re referring to the command battleship, it looks like it uses US DD superfiring towers. Similar to the Cursed fish, probably why it looks so odd.
I love the building part of all the vids
Yesss, the Command Battleship is an absolute meme and I love it.
CB or CBB designation? 🙂
I saw Stealth putting the towers on and was like 'what the f*ck' lmao
I approve of this message

Bigger is not better. Ships with high firepower are ideal. They take less shipyard capacity also during repairs.
I feel like those Cursed Fish II's are gonna be really good
@@FirstOfTheMagi Cursed Fish with 4 large gun turrets would've been perfect

AHH FINALLY MA NEW FIX. I was starting to go into withdrawals.
7" twin secondaries one set on a balcony but he didn't realize he could have put another on the other balcony
Suggestion for the LankyGits: You should be able to put X turret on a barbette as well, so it can fire over Y turret (which it currently can't).

My biggest workhorse ships are BCs with 13" dual barrels, Mark 5s great rate of fire and at distance I just destroy bigger ships with deck pen.

Super Pirates of the Caribbean. Havana can become New Shanghai.
You can make A-B-C-X-Y layout with 6" guns on this light cruiser class
I just picked this game up after binge watching many of your UAD videos. How are you copying the turret & barbet? How did you rotate the 5" turret?
Rotate turrets with "R" and "T" but not sure about the copying sorry
you can check the "controls" section in the game settings.
Copy parts with middle mouse button
Why 17 inches? Many 14.4 inch guns optimized for max 35km do the job with a larger pattern.
In this mod the 14.4 inch guns don't do as well against especially the German battleships. I need something with more punch.
@@Stealth17Gaming, ah OK. Yes, you did a mod.
What's the keyboard combo to turn the turret while building? I always looked at the circles.
R or T

My towers are rather amazing. I'm going to need to start a chinese campaign to try those out!
But I think at some point you should go for a modern 6 turret design as a gunnery platform for naval invasions
Hey Stealth, love the playthrough, is there any reason why you shouldnt go for quads or triples instead of your usual dual turrets?
Not really. Sometimes there's a marginal accuracy or ROF stat, sometimes it's just aestetics

Turn on mirror mode. Small button top right
