The sleeved booster cases with 144 in a case are a solid long term investment in my opinion because at a certain point its easier to move $30 boosters than $1000 booster boxes, but If you just want to double your money and move on booster boxes are king.

Nah 3 pack blisters are great they hold more value and the coins and promos sometimes even give it a boost plus people like the non weigh ability you also have such a slim product that takes up barley and space and cheap I get like 3 of each for a set at 11$ ea it's not a bad deal
I made a rookie mistake and opened my Pokemon center 151 so I can try and master that set. Now I know not to open any of the pokemon center 😅. Great video!!
Great video and a lot of help atm im starting small time with what i had and did not sell a while back. i made all them mistakes all because i wanted to chase cards but then again i was after the master set, Now im really digging down and trying to invest while collect with my son. It can be a little hard when the little man wants to crack it open with me lol.
Agreed with every point besides the sleeved boosters. They are doing good over time, especially if you can do a full artwork set (4) and when BB becomes pricy.
Sleeved boosters are a good investment. Not even close to tins, miles above. They don’t take up much space, people love just having a single small item from a set, and they’re a low price point.
I agree with every words, I recently started investing in Pokémon just to differentiate my portfolio and I bought some semi-old (sword and shield) etbs (at low prices) because I thought that they could do good in a 5 years time frame and also cause they look so good on my shell too😂😂😂. But I think that I will move to booster boxes asap, except for those sets (like you say in the video) that are premium like crown, 151 and paldean fates. I most invested in crown zenith to be fair, the price were kinda unhyped 3/4 months ago and I really think those products could do very good in the future (my two cents). I buy PSA 9s all day. Condition is guaranteed & I don’t have to stress about the sellers discretion. I go for 10s when they’re in auction because there’s a chance for a deal.

Pokemon 151 Tins and Collection Boxes are definitely an exception. Paid $10CAD per Tin and have a sealed display of tins and they've already gone over $20CAD. I think any sealed product from 151 will appreciate. Even single packs.

I'm finding sleeved boosters for less than 2.50$ in the sword and shield era and I'm buying it all up. No brainer deals. Sleeved boosters are great for low price entry for people in the future that can't get into booster boxes and wants something somewhat "sealed".

Speaking as a collector and just ripping packs, I’ve sworn off tins. I now have just tins and no cards. I have NEVER pulled a card from a tin. Never. 6 pack booster bundles for certain sets and booster boxes for me.

I'm new to collecting pokemon cards (last time I bought them was way back during the Diamond and Pearl era when I was in elementary school). I never took it seriously, but now I am. What necessarily determines a card or box/set's value? I've gotten a few really cool looking cards the past few days, and I guess I equate that to them having a higher value, only to find out they're only worth a few cents/dollars at most. I'm not looking to get rich through pokemon cards, but I like the idea of having really valuable cards just to pass down to my kids in the future

Avoid FOMO. Don't buy stuff before it releases. Most, products can be purchased under MSRP within the month. Don't buy singles until the set has been out for over a month. It's stupid to buy a card at 200 just to see it drop to 50 in a month. Avoid buying retail if you plan on spending 100+ online will always beat retail stores.

Yes, grading is subjective as well I have some 10s that should be 9s and some 9 that should be 10s. I just go off eye appeal and what I think looks good. Collect what you like!!!

For example I bought a couple etbs of Paldea evolved a while ago for $33 each after taxes in hopes that hopefully by next summer they will worth more.

With tik Tok coupon I bought paldea evolved regular ETB for $18... Can't go wrong with that. That being said the only ETBs to get are a couple of PC etbs for the S&V era going forward. Those PC stamped cards do have limited supply and have long term upside be ause of that
Space Is a concern once you accumulate a lot. Sold all my ETB probably had about 25 ETB’s and moved into BB. Imagine $10,000 in ETB’s that is a night mare to store in a room unless you live in a more spacious area. I’m a normal dude and BB/Japanese BB are the way to go.
Yeah, Paldea Evolved is a good example, Booster boxes are about $140 a booster box = $3.88 per pack. Where as you can buy a case of 10 etbs for $335 which = $3.72 per pack. So it would be a better choice if you are looking to open packs.

SGC is owned by PSA's parent company, Collector's Universe, and they have been steadily going up in value in TCG resale. Also don't be that guy. By telling people NOT to buy SGC or CGC, you are effectively just tearing down the competition and screwing over people who want to believe in those companies. You even said it yourself, you like the way it looks. You know how to build up resale value in other grading companies, items, etc? Build them up. Collectibles gain and hold value because collectors and buyers put value on them. You are out here "Influencing" your 6K subscribers, telling them "X is crap don't make this mistake" well good job in assisting flushing the potential for resale down the toilet and continuing the echo chamber. As well as making any of your subscribers feel bad that they graded with X company and their cards should be worth less because of the slab its in.
I do like the way they look. But from an investment perspective it would be silly of me to recommend anything but the slabs that sell for the most. I would LOVE for the graded card market to be more fair but there reality of is it isn’t. I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending for people to buy SGC slabs on the hope they might be more valuable in the future. Go to any card show and you will see it’s PSA only that moves (with some exceptions obviously). I know collectors owns them but currently that hasn’t done much for them.

Etbs are a great investment depending on the set. Like evolving skies and what 151 will be. Celebrations didn't do as good as I thought though
