For anyone wondering the lens kit he’s reviewing costs $21,000 here in the USA. A heavy investment indeed but as the saying goes marry the lens date the body!
My next project will be the SP3. The look of those lenses is the perfect blend of creamy and sharp. Unique but not distracting. Did you try these with the DJI auto focus lidar ? Do they have filter threads? Does the 100mm lens guard come off? Thanks for the video!
@@seanlefloch Yeah, I’m looking forward to shooting with them on a project. No, not used the DJI LiDAR. Yes, they have filter threads, I used the Polar Pro PMVND on the Exterior shots on FX3 and obviously internal ND on Fx6
Guys... lol Why are we trying to trick ourselves to think these look vastly different from other lenses. If you didn't read the titles, you may think these are G Master primes, possibly with a glimmer glass over them.
@@pavelooof I dont know about that. There are new lenses every two months that every UA-camr loves. Somehow i dont trust them anymore. I would certainly rent them before buying.
I bought the Simera-C's and absolutely love them. And a lot more affordable than the Cooke lenses as well. And no, Thypoch didn't send me them or give me a discount. I'm not a big enough channel for that. If you can afford the Cooke lenses I'm sure they're lovely, but for us who aren't super rich or big enough to be sent items by lens companies, the Simeras are quite nice. Still not cheap-cheap compared to some vintage or really budget options like the Rokinon Cine DS lenses, but nicer looking in my personal view. I've been shooting a short film with them and been very happy with the look, both wide open at T1.5 and stopped down to T2.8 and T4. No regrets on the purchase in my first month of using em.
Great break down, these look killer with the image quality they’re able to capture!
Once I clocked the Cooke look, I’ve been chasing it like a madman. Great video bro
Superb video. Love the enthusiasm and energy.
James! You continue to utter excellence. Gratitude dear mate! 🇺🇸💛🇬🇧

Yah, these are very beautiful.
🪨it looks so cooool but i haven't heard from them before. But i'm super excited mate!!
they look fab, I like what you say about easy to focus as I struggle with this so much using manual lenses
Wow, the lenses look mint. Def career lenses.
Might need to add these on my wish list as well as the Sony FX3 lol

@ appreciate the response 🙏🏻
What were the two lenses you used the most? I have the 25mm and it is awesome. Getting ready to get my second and maybe third SP3.
@@FelixCervantes I really enjoyed the 32 but also found the 75mm a really nice one to use. Not usually one to shoot around the 50-85 mark but loved it
That bokeh is gorgeous. Which is your favorite focal length?
Isn't it just, I really enjoyed the 32 and the 75 strangely enough
@Jamesmatthews So the 25mm and 50mm would be ideal for S35! I already have a 25mm so the 50mm will be the next one!
@@Jamesmatthews thanks for sharing dude.
“What’s up you lot, hope you guys are doing sweet”… We miss the intro James
It’s coming

what about Simera-c? cheaper, with a character, and faster...
How is sharpness and contrast wide open?
@Milan-cf1xe didn't use them, but other UA-camrs seems to love them...

@Milan-cf1xe agree. But check the reviews anyway. Typoch simera-c
