Agree they were the good guys
People forget too easily, that the CIS was a legitimate grassroots movement, with very valid complaints and justifications for seceding from the Republic.
It only became "bad" through the involvement of the corporate powers, and the machinations of the Sith.

reason number 2 in the clone wars around season 3/4 you see a cis general prepared to kill innocent civilians to insure the clones death that's not what i call a good guy
reason number 3 in season 5 we see a cis generel also being a slaver who enslaved an entire city/planet
reason number 4 voice roy Nute Gunray is corrupt manipulative and constantly fs people over
reason number 5 when a cis senator pushed for peace with the republic she was murdered and then when the son lux bontari spook out against them for there actions they tried to kill him
reason number 6 i forgot the planet name its the sister planet of leias home world but when the rebels with lux started to win the cis pulled out and shoot the king dead right there with no remorse

If you go by the comics and background lore of Star Wars,
The CIS are kinda the good guys. The CIS Council which is full of Trade Federation, techno union and other nefarious corporations highers ups are the actual bad guys. The CIS Parliament and Other civilian authroties actually were pretty good.

The Confederacy of Independent systems is represented well by this song simply by just its title. It was a dying Space Echo of a noble but unfortunately lost cause. Years later the Rebel Alliance would ultimately fulfill said cause with the defeat of the Empire.
Not really the new Republic had the same issues that the old Republic had with its core world bias and overcentralisation. Even in legends.
The separatists wanted a decentralised government non-authoritarian governemnt. The empire was decentralised (most power in local governers, as per movie dialogue) but was authoritarian, and both republics were overly centralised and beurocratic.
Yeah and how’d that go? Just to phoenix and wipe out the New Republic 😂

That's true, but no one was denying that the New Republic was a garbage faction. There was probably a large amount of Rebels that hated what their cause had ended up becoming.
@@matthiuskoenig3378You're wrong about the empire being decentralized. It had governors sure, but the economies were forcefully unified and there were stormtroopers (who are controlled by the central not regional authorities) on almost every street.
The reason why people liked the Empire was because there were no Clone Wars and they had enough power to destroy criminals like the Hutts (which they didn't do), but really it was just tightening the grip until everybody started disliking it one way or the other

If the republic Turned into the “evil” empire right after order 66, doesn’t that mean the confederacy were the good guys all along?

Men saw them both flawed and manipulated by Palpatine
Legends saw the CIS as the heroes

Men's saw the Republic as misguided goodguys
Legends saw that neither the Republic nor the CIS were quote unquote good guys but rather the CIS was a group of mega corporations allowed to have peacekeeping forces unchecked usage of their power allowed them to threaten the unprepared bloated government By lethal Force and goaded the government that was falling apart into a 3 and a half year long self-interest galactic slap fight for the entertainment of one man to allow him to usher himself in as an emperor in short technically neither were the good guys the Republic just had a more justified cause because they were trying to fix their government rather than watch the entire galaxy burn via robotic soldiers

It's a custom effect from premiere pro that i made myself , it uses a combination of sharpening, colour correction and the unsharp mask(this effect makes the characters pop out)
