Ha, your daddy needed a master list to check off items when he went fishing. That is so funny about the shrimp bait situation. Love that a shrimp boat came along where you could get some shrimp. I think we all have times we do forget something. It is easy to do. Funny about uncle Marvin too. He had a good nap.

Great video Rip! I loved the shrimp story. I also use to hunt rabbits and squirrels. I remember getting out of school on first day of rabbit season. Between 12-15 years old my dad wouldn’t let me carry a gun. I always had to be the dog kicking them things out of the brush.
He would not let me carry a gun until I was 16 years old. I also loved fishing and we as well ate everything we caught or killed.
Glad we could bring back some old memories

I can see the dead cat in the video. Man that thing works good. Your audio always sounds good. I put my lav mic under my shirt. I have a dead cat but it doesn’t stay on good.
Yes it was only over by Walmart it come loose or something. The hoodie I had on was hard to clip the mic. This cat actually clips into the top of the mic
Good ride. I would like to touch on a pet peeve of mine about horse there. But I won’t do it unless you would like for me to. Hopefully the warmer weather is coming this week for y’all to.

@@Rip1Outdoors this has just always been a pet peeve of mine. When horse is born, the mare will take her tongue and rub it all over the horse. I’ve never seen a mare pat a horse with her tongue. When we rub a horse, it mimics what it felt when it was first born. I used to see this constantly when people would pat their horse and tell them how good of a boy they are. Ironically, it seems that the better the horse did, the harder the person would what they call Pat. What I call a slap. I can tell you, I have never saw a response from the horse that said, “ yes I like that”. Instead, I saw a response that at best said I will tolerate that. If you look at the clip with old red. As you was rubbing him, he was right there with you, neck relaxed, head down and soft eyes. soon as you started to pat him, he raised his head, moved away, tightened the muscles and his neck and his hind quarter. You can see his ear drop back to look for a place to go to instead of where he was. Please don’t get me wrong friend, I am not picking at you. I am just pointing out how the horse felt about this. Next time he comes up, maybe try to just rub. Sorry about going down the rabbit hole, but probably the greatest Horseman that ever lived, Ray hunt, shared this with me many decades ago. I’ve always remembered it and shared it with anyone any chance I could get

HI Rip .. my loved one and I watch your videos all the time and love your stories. She is a photographer that does weddings, quincerras, etc and I recently got her a ebike and she wants to film our rides. We took your advice and have the TELESIN° Magnetic Neck Mount. As you well know , audio is more important than the video. What camera and mike do you recommend?

Doug I have a love hate relationship with gopro but I think it is the best. you can get a Hero 10 black with a lot of extras including a Microsd card for around $300. I like the DJI mic and it doesn't matter which one you get. The one like I have is about $250. Good luck with your videos!
PS Our gas is $3.63 a gallon for the lowest octane.
