I picked up a rechargeable Hum on sale from Walmart for $33, plus I saved $6 with gift cards. Incredible price! Consider that $29 for this toothbrush isn't far off from a pack of Sonicare replacement heads! No brainer.
Just remember the AAA Battery Colgate Hum was on sale during Prime Day for only $20!

I've used Sonicares since 2014. First one died after about 7 years, second stopped vibrating correctly when I dropped it. I saw a UA-cam video on how to fix it but it isn't meant to be opened and I didn't want to hassle with it. The problem was the battery becomes misaligned I think. The weight contributes to the damage it gets when dropped. I mean it's reasonable to drop your toothbrush I think but I don't think it should become unusable like mine did. I just got the hum for $30 and it is more attractive and easier to hold, and lighter in weight probably by 3-4 times. I do not think it vibrates as powerfully but I'm going to keep it because it is easier to hold and has a travel case. I don't think one can go wrong with either one. I wish sonicare made more attractive brushes for the money, and I wish the refill heads were not so expensive. EDIT: I'm returning mine for two reasons: 1) the travel case is exactly as long as the brush but you have to take the head off and snap it in separately to out it in the case. This is such foolish design to me. I only wanted to case to put it in to store in my bathroom - why should I need to dismantle the brush head and snap both pieces in gingerly, and this will just lead to more wear. Also, I tried the app multiple times and it was not accurate at all - the places I was brushing were not what was shown on the app. I didn't want the app much but I thought it would be fun but there is no point to it if it doesn't show where I'm brushing. I don't know how the brush sensors would know this anyway without knowing if a person is left or right handed or how they have their head tilted, etc

What's with the eco friendly page? I always find it "coming soon" even when it's mentioned in the video.

Hi Carlos. Apologies. It has taken longer to create this content than we had planned. This is for a number of reasons. Once of the biggest issues is the misleading/unclear data around some of the eco stuff. What might appear eco, isn't always. Ultimately we only want to publish accurate content that we are happy with. Hence we are taking more time to make sure it is right. We are getting close to having it finished now. Thanks for bearing with us.

Who really wants to hook up their phone to their toothbrush? I don't need "an app for that".

Lets back to the basic , what is those machine are for? Brushing and cleaning, right ? So Philips is the winner ... debate is over ,

The most important thing with electric toothbrushes is the availability and price of replacement heads. This useless video doesn't even show you how to swap out heads.

Whilst I think brush head availability & price are important factors (considered as part of my review), I don't think it is the most important thing. No good having cheap heads available everywhere, if the brush doesn't clean well 😉
In both instances, the heads just pull off and push back on.
