Unfortunately the rechargeable one isn't as convenient as it sounds. It can only charge using outdated USB-A adapters. When you're traveling, you can't just plug in a USB-C cable with a USB-C power adapter (like the same ones for your phone or tablet) because it doesn't work. It does work with other USB-C/USB-A cables (assuming you have one small enough to fit inside the end of the brush handle) but who carries one of those around? What is the point of using USB-C if you have to carry a separate cable and adapter? What a stupid oversight by Philips.
I bought this last year as my toothbrush when I travel, and has served me well ever since. My last trip, I was gone for 2 months travelling to Thailand and the Philippines, so I got to test it's battery life. Brushing twice a day, sometimes 3 if I'm at my Airbnb all day, the charge lasted for more than a month. After a month and a half, it was still working fine, but I decided to charge it just in case. The intensity didn't feel like it started to dwindle. I love that it came with a sturdy case, covering the power and keeping it nice and covered. As a toothbrush to use for travel, I highly recommend this.

For $30, I'm happy to have this as toothbrush to keep in my purse as it provides a little more stimulation than a manual toothbrush. Good for in between brushing while out after a coffee or eating anything that might stain the teeth.
I bought this as I wanted to better oral hygiene while traveling. The vibrations are indeed quite weak compared to the regular model (which I also own). It may be better than a regular toothbrush but maybe not by much.
I miss the Sonicare Power-up. It used 2 AA batteries and was compatible with any Sonicare brush head. After using the brush heads that came with it, I used the diamond clean heads for years before it finally died. I’m really disappointed that it was discontinued.

The Soincare 3100 is quite a bit better in my opinion. Both used correctly can do a good job, you will just need to work a bit harder with the Philips One. How can you say they will definitely fail?! Many products last considerably longer than a couple of years.

Yes, sorry, maybe I was exaggerating a bit ;) I usually replace the fixed batteries in handheld products but for my last two brushes (Braun and Phillips) i could not do that because the plasticizer in the rubber was gone and the buttons / soft grip areas on the handle just dissolved into chewing gum... both after two years. Maybe I was just unlucky, who knows.
Understood. I am not sure on your location, but if in the USA, I do strongly advise considering the new 4100 Series. Its like the 3100, only a bit better. Hi, I just bought one of these toothbrushes in Müller Europe. I was very surprised when I opened it. It didn’t came with a travel case, just a plain head cover. I got the rechargeable one. But the charger is unique, not usb-c. Do you have any information about that? Is this a newer model, maybe more powerful? Is it possible to purchase the travel case separately? Or the unique charging chord in case I lose it?
How are the bristles' softness as compared to Sensodyne Sensitive Toothbrush? Because, I have a new sonic toothbrush which I cannot use due to its bristles.
I haven't used that Sensodyne toothbrush I don't think. Or at least I don't have it to hand to compare. Based on what I know I suspect the Sensodyne bristles are softer.
you should try the hello charcoal activated toothpaste its made from pure bamboo and its completely safe for your teeth it won't wear down your enamel even the toothpaste tablets their great!😁

You know this video isn't from Philips, right? And a volume minimiser? How, in your estimation, would that work? The sound is from the vibration, which is what makes the toothbrush work, and it's even louder when it's in your mouth because your mouth is directly connected to your ear canals. It's not a speaker that you can just turn the volume down. You should be ashamed to be this stupid in public.

The Philips One is awful. I got one for me and the wife and I'm disappointed. Its motor is so weak it doesnt feel like its doing much.
I can't see any improvements in my teeth using this one. This is not worth it.
