Rooting for Sha'Carri, I would love to see her back on top. Women's sprinting is stacked at the elite level right now, and I love to see the competition, these women are incredible.
what she was on top of?
@@marvindillon7689 back on top is an idiom people generally use to describe when someone is doing well. In this case I mean I'm happy to see her racing well after all the controversy she went through testing positive for marijuana at the Olympic trials and dealing with the death of her biological mom. I'm glad to see she's doing well now.
She'll be okay if she stops smoking weed and loses the attitude

Lol 😝 Shitten me Sha carri 10.4 to 10.5 this year Being Jamaican means nothing.
Her time would have been a little better if she kept running through at the end instead of the hand gestures. But I'm glad to see her back.
True and a better start and moving side to side
True... it just means that she was supposed to win that race. How does her time stack up with the world leading times so far this year?
Grief shows up differently for everyone. I think she is finally getting back into racing and her regular life. She probably didn't want to be in the spotlight or around people in general. It took years for me to get back to a semi-normal life after being a caregiver and losing my mom, and I was 34. At 19, I know I would have been even worse.
Sorry for your loss, that must’ve been so difficult of a circumstance as well. I appreciate your measured comment too, hope you and your family are well now, God bless.
I'm very empathetic for your loss. I myself didn't handle loss very well.
No excuse for consistent bad behavior especially in public display.
Out of all comments I’ve seen on the internet, this is the best comment. People be so quick to hate on her for the smallest things when this could have been a big moment for her with all the things she’s gon thru.
@@osuk1 just bc you deem it “bad behavior” doesn’t mean it’s an issue. It’s not about you, and she damn sure ain’t gone change just bc people don’t like how she acts. Get over it. Let her be her and she’ll go through life and learn her own lessons at HER pace. Stop trying to beat it into her to act a certain way.
As a former Track&Field sprinter and coach, a tightly contested race can be determined by the neglect of slowing down and raising your hands before the finish line. Where was this "bravado" when Sha'showout ran against a fully loaded heat?
She was dead last in that heat so no bravado. Steiner ran 11.1 in similar conditions. Poor start by Richardson.
Yeah, throwing up your hands, as opposed to leaning your chest, can make the difference between first and second.

@@doctorwilliams787 you are so funny. I don’t think you even understand what “you don’t have to be a sailor to know the captain is in control” means. That was a set up race for her to win 🤣🤣🤣🤣
how they gave all the other athletes a chance to rerun the race again plus it wasn't only the 100m they flip they also did it for the hurdles
The others got paid off lmao
@@paulwatson255 no others chose not to run in these condition cause they aren't risking the chance to get injured unless they actually got paid off.....
People become arrogant with all the success the Jamicans have had. One day it might end. People do retire. Humility is Biblical.
This what y’all gone start saying lmaooo
She’s not showing up for the big racers that’s my problem with her🤨 only for her small field race😅 abs run 11.27 She needs more practice it was good run coming from back.
U do realize she ran that time due to the rain, along with slipping, and last but not least an early celebration. Don’t put too much thought into that 11.27
Any interviews with Sha'carri?
Way to go Shacarri!!! (I'm Jamaican as well)
What our nationality has anything to do with anything?
Thats not a comfortable win though. Great run by other athletes
They said she came in 4th in the other race. They was trying to slander her time in her first official race this year with these conditions. People so pathetic
They both are great
She was 5th i think
Lol, I had to come back and change my remarks, yes Hobbs and Richardson are both great. Hobbs was better in the 100 even with her injuries. I don't think the media likes her as much as they like Richardson. Well now there are claims that Richardson is apart of the LGBT community. So now we can go back and focus on the talent that separates the two of them. Hobbs is better in the 100. I hope she has rehab her injuries and fully recovered. I didn't even remember Richardson from LSU. Someone from Texas A&M, who was just as good as Richardson, who's not competing professionally caught my attention. No cap ... idk where the hype came from or started. Ijs I think the media tried to overlooked the other young lady. Who btw has a gold from the relay.
Didn't she place 4th in the other race. Wasn't this first place a rerun. Am I missing something?
Not bad in the terrible conditions! Best of luck to these athletes moving forward.
Abby Steiner is in awesome shape right now. Hopefully Richardson can grow from strength to strength.
Twanisha Terry ran sub 11 this season and shacarri beat her in these horrible conditions. Given a nice day this is easily a sub 11 race
No way lol
But you can't expect terry or anyone else to beat their best time each time they race. They may run slower or they may run faster. What really matters is who runs the fastest when it really counts.
11.37 is terrible against Elite sprinters...rather this is her first or 2nd race. You need to be starting out sub 10s to even get in Elaine and Shelley's territory, then you improve on that.
You're celebrating an 11.37 barely beating subpar runners, if you're a 10.67 runner...that time and win is disappointing.
TT is not sub-par. Sant-Price has run 11 sec 100s before and is one of the best 60m runners in the world. ShaCarri may not have been up against the best in that race but you can't sleep on all the other runners.
@@dmvbay2535 and Hobbs is no slouch either. Them girls ain’t weak so idk why people are discrediting them
Richardson should focus more on her start & especially completely finishing her races. Save the celebration and kick butt ✊🏾✌🏾
Stay humble Shacarri, stay humble! Humility goes a long way! Check out former US Champions like Carmelita Jeter,Natasha Hastings, Alyson Felix, Lolo Jones, Sanya Richards-Ross,Dalilah Muhammad, Evelyn Ashford, and many more.... great achievements and yet so humble and lovable! The world loved them and still do!!!
Of course she'll care about the time. The field was a no name race. Her time wouldn't rank her in a high school meet.
She hasn't been injured, she's been 'training". She was suspended for 30 days almost a year ago. She is almost 10 yards behind SFP and Elaine T.
FACTS
That’s was not full speed people lol 😝. She was not running fast she did enough to win . Came out the block weak ran just enough to get in font and slow down crossing the line . she going to break records this year. Watch!!!!
BS
Um she was full until she almost got to the line. She still won’t beat dem gurls
I’m geeked
What race??¿??????? did she win
My only issue with Sha’Shaky is she isn’t humble. Show some respect for your competitors and at least wait until you’ve crossed the finish line to celebrate. Extremely talented but also extremely big-headed
Agreed!!!
Being that excited about an 11.27 is ridiculous.
Look at the conditions you damn fool
Wyoming’s Tyus would have beaten her 54 years ago in the rain 🌧 LOL!
Do you run track in the rain and win I'll wait...
You have to can beat somebody to say they need to calm down. For someone who foes 10.3 in training.. You dont pre finish line celebrate 11.2 you just smile and wave to the crowd
Wow 10.3!!!!
Sweet
So many haters. Miss me with the constructive criticism, read the comments, just pure hate! Go Sha’Carri. Big WIN, Little win, still a Win. Grow Sis, Grow!! And if I did criticize (which I didn’t), the whole point was I’m not against constructive criticism, simply saying some people are flat out down right hating….
U literally just ended that with grow sis grow😯😯🤣🤣🤣sounds like constructive criticism
Why is shacari sheltered?
Im a jamaican and not her biggest fan,but she was in great form
Good win
Lol this is nuts, as if people dislike sha'carri for no reason.
Must be nice to get a do-over. Wonder if she’ll ask for a do over at trials.
It was supposed to be semis and finals. I am sure they gave people the options to run. Most probably said "NO". So no do over.
@@susiepace2125 they did lol this was the finals
It was rigged to give her a little significance.
@@ronald8792 rigged as in how? the others were given a chance but instead they pulled out there lost
@@jake100mi5 They probably let her win, I mean why not? The prize money was long gone and they were racing for fun anyways.
I’m happy for her
Water falling on TT n sha’carri 🍫🫠, Great race
