Voyageurs LEGO Automaton - Paddling a Canoe
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 гру 2017
- A kinetic LEGO sculpture, or automaton, of two figures paddling a canoe. It's designed in the style of the Voyageurs, who were French Canadian fur traders, and built in celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary year.
It can be manually operated with a hand crank, or motorized using the LEGO Power Functions system.

Your stuff is too good. Nice to see you incorporating history into your builds as well.
Thanks dude!
AstonishingStudios yeah!
Personally I think this is the greatest thing you've designed. LEGO is missing out not marketing these designs! :P
I don’t think any amount of time building with legos would I think of something as amazing as this... so fluid and lively!
You've put multiple things on Lego ideas, but have you ever put or thought about putting your kinetic sculptures up? I think you could easily reach 10,000 votes with them.
chigginheadD Especially with 300,00 subs!

I honestly think that lego might consider this set, because it’s something different to their style
Lego really needs to hire you. Your sets are so interesting.

This is incredibly well-detailed! I love the underwater scene.
Your designs always look so Human. It’s amazing!
Then your an alien yay!
Nice! It is almost creepy how real this looks, in my opinion it is your bet creation yet.
Thanks!
Pretty sweet! Isn't this your most complex automaton yet in terms of articulation?
Thanks! Yeah, probably. Definitely some interesting motion going on between the oars, arms and torso.
I honestly believe that the horse was the most complex
It's always amazing to see what you produce with Lego, awesome!
I love how your kinetic sculptures are so smooth and work so well, but the manage to be very detailed as well!
I think you should place it on Lego ideas. It's an amazing creation👌
Loving the Hudson's Bay blanket!!
It's so nice to see that you choose to build something based on the French Canadians as we were mostly forgotten in the official celebration. You can see this very well in the CD set of "Canada 150: A Celebration of Music" where they manage to put 150 songs together and none of them was in French. Luckily, people like you make the difference for French Canadians, making us feel like we are a part of that country after all.
Not even Canadian but what a lovely way to honor your nation's history. I've always been fascinated by the history of the Voyaguers and the Hudson Bay company.
Amazing as always. I wish TLG/Technic would diversify their range more and release a line of automatons like this. So good.
Smooth like butter
Thanks, appreciate you stopping by!

Thanks man!
Now who would dislike something so cool?!
Wow. That's the most complex kinetic model you've done so far, I think! And the result is beautiful! Great job, Jason!
"That's all there is to it." Understatement of the century.

Man, I am impressed how precisely you nailed the movement of the paddlers! I go canoeing each summer and it's exactly the same.

If the water plant pieces would face the other direction it would give it more of the illusionen that they are swimming against the stream.
