    I dont care if a woman ends up selling her body to feed her addiction. Shes still loved by someone. She still has the right to not have her life taken from her because someone has a sick need to kill someone. I feel sad for that woman that is trying to live a clean life. She lost friends she loved. Those woman had people that loved them and they loved people back. They deserve respect no matter what . I pray the woman stays clean and sober and gets her life back on track. My condolences to the victims familys. May they all rest in peace.

    People often forget: nobody chooses to get murdered by a serial killer. A serial killer chose to murder someone. To place any blame whatsoever on these girls is to side with the killer and all future killers. It doesn’t matter what these girls chose to do. None of them chose to die to a sick man with sick desires.

      All it takes is Australia to show up, or a Berlin newspaper or the London editor of the Associated Press, and the sensationalism will call it ``international'' news. So, if it wasn't a slow news day, US newspapers wouldn't pick it up off the AP wire, or if they did, it would be on a back page.

    • @johannas.l.brushane2518
      @johannas.l.brushane2518 3 роки тому

      Of course not, however, even if it's probably more frequent that women are killed by somone they've had a close relation to it does not change the fact that prostitutes are quite exposed to the risk of falling victim to violence.
      And also, it doesn't make sense to being ambigous and generally write about it as women had gone missing and found killed, there's nothing good with installing uneccessary fear or panic among people that apparantly not seem to be a target, like nurses on their way home feom work, in this case it was prostitutes who were the target and needed to be alerted.
      You could anonymizise the victims even more by saying "people", statistically males are still the most frequent vicims of violent acts.

    I recall these murders as a duel citizen British American with living in the UK a few times since birth and recall the arrest of Steve Wright. It was frankly disturbing with my entire familys eyes glued to the telly watching the news. I am glad he was caught but it seemed the entire country was on edge as it is still being spoken about even today with many of my British friends who lived in the areas of the murders that live now in Orlando, Florida not far from me.
    I am just so happy that no other females are being murdered from this man but there is so many females that meet this fate all over the world still with human trafficking and such. There is so much to still do and people need to stay vigilant. I disagree with these woman's lifestyle or the men that take advantage of children and female addicts and it is said that prostitution is a victimless crime when the truth of it is the females and children are loved ones to alot of familes so it clearly is not a victimless crime at all and the criminals of such cases must be caught , arrested, tried and conviçted.

    ...And yet, when Aileen Wuornos armed herself and killed those who tried to rape and even possibly kill her in anger when she resisted, she was depicted as the most depraved monster that ever walked on Planet Earth. Just saying... There sure doesn't seem to be a level playing field the System has set up for the most vulnerable people.

      I am sorry but it seems like you did not watch the last 48 hours of Aileen Wuomos's life. I do not live far from where she had most of her court dates at. I encourage you to watch both the final interviews with her 48 & 24 hours before she was executed. She finally confessed prior to execution that she was not raped defending herself at all but murdered for money to live.
      Many serial killers turn to honesty before execution as I take it to admit to ask forgiveness. She lied all the way through her trial up to the last 48 hours. On the other hand, I can't stand the men out there with Children and vulnerable women who should be protected and have the right to defend themselves if indeed in a position they really do need to for their own life (when honest again unlike Aileen Wuomos) and I hate those women that turn to prostitution as well who do so on their own for other illegal activity. Both men and women in those situations should be arrested and charged. Now the victims of child and human trafficking should be protected and have the legal services protecting them getting them help with assistance.

      @@supportyourtroopsathletes6460 -- What is the link to the video you are referring to? which depicts her last 48 hours before execution? I watched many videos about her case and there were a couple of men , as I recall, who had previously been charged with rape so it was credible to me that she might have been telling the truth that they had tried to rape her, got rough before she killed them or refused to pay her afterward as they tried to leave her stranded in the middle of nowhere. Could you please supply a link to the video to which you refer about her last 48 hours before her death? I don't recall hearing this about her last 48 hours so I might have missed it.
      The issue in her defense always was that in the in the cases where she killed, she felt her life was in danger. For someone who'd had the terrible life she led most of her life, there will always be an element of feeling endangered by the slightest provocation so that should be taken into account also. My point is this: The playing field between what women get away with and what men get away with and how they are treated in the courts is not even or equal. There is nothing even or equal about the way regular people compared to those with money are treated in court either. The whole culture is a study in un equality. One example: There are many women in jail who finally killed their abusive husbands but just because they didn't kill them the same moment they were being abused, the court interprets that lapse of time as deserving of being characterized as murder.

But being raised in a bad situation is not enough by itself to turn someone into a killer, as you said, if it were there would be hundreds of thousands (if not more) serial killers everywhere. If the victims are not WASPS they get no attention or warnings for the public. Offenders get virtually no significant sentences and continue to offend again and again. Pot smokers are serving life sentences and rapists and murderers are released over and over again.

On this occasion my colleague and I were called to remove a body of a deceased young woman who was known as a prostitute. It was so sad the victim was a young girl who had been raped mugged and strangled the worse thing was her body lay in a freezer compartment of the mortuary until the deceased was allowed to be released to be laid to rest and to my knowledge to date the killer was never caught.

Regarding sex workers, it’s pretty despicable the way people will treat them. They’re someone’s daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt, best friend...just because you don’t believe in their lifestyle doesn’t mean they’re beneath you, nor does it mean they don’t deserve respect. This is such a sad story.
