      Shewwww, I thought the same thing. With other crimes it’s like, if a person is accused but there isn’t significant evidence against them, that’s tricky. There’s always doubt and if someone does something to harm said person, they don’t know for sure because they don’t know all of the evidence, buttttt this case? Yeah, this case is blatantly hook line and sink her....

    Wait until you're the one being taken to court and accused of a crime, only to be found not guilty by a jury of your peers, and then the prosecution just comes after you again for the same thing. How many times is it ok to try the same case until you get the verdict you desire? Double jeopardy isn't silly. The prosecution trying a case when they don't have sufficient evidence is silly.

    Double jeopardy is a silly law? Double jeopardy only applies if a jury reaches a verdict of not guilty. This documentary said that the judge dismissed the case. The point of double jeopardy is so the state cannot continually bring you in front a of a jury, 4 different trials find you not guilty, and the state continues to retry you. Double jeopardy is not a “silly law” it protects an individual from a rogue government.

    • @Swnsasy
      @Swnsasy 3 роки тому +1

      Actually If a criminal case is dismissed by the judge on the merits of the case, then double jeopardy applies.. That's why he was saying it is a silly law back then and that part is done away with.. They should have explained it a bit better but the rest, you're absolutely correct of course.. 🥰

    • @NebulaBull
      @NebulaBull 2 роки тому +2

      ((It's the fifth amendment in the US)) When dismissed in the US on a Double Jeopardy case, the Judge will often issue a with or without prejudice; if it's with prejudice, then you're Scot free and can not be charged again; without prejudice, the prosecution can re-file the exact charges, cases can also be dismissed voluntarily by the person who filed the charges or involuntary by a judge When cases are dismissed involuntarily, it's by a judge, against the wishes of the person whose case is dismissed. Involuntary dismissals happen when the judge decides the case can’t go forward because of a legal reason. Usually, they're the result of the other side filing a Motion to Dismiss, pointing out those reasons.
      When a judge involuntarily dismisses a case, it could be with or without prejudice. Often, judges dismiss cases without prejudice so that the person whose case got dismissed can try again after fixing the problem the other side pointed out.
      Sometimes, though, judges dismiss cases with prejudice. Maybe the loser has already had chances to fix their case, and the judge concludes there's no way the case can go forward. But it could be lots of things. The result is that the case is closed. If your case was dismissed with prejudice, it could be appealed to a higher judge, but you can’t start over from scratch and try again.
      Nothing is silly about double jeorpady.

    • @johnba291972
      @johnba291972 2 роки тому +4

      Yeah it wasn't silly, it was there to protect the innocent not to enable the guilty. Without it they can just retry somebody over and over again until they find a jury they can convince guilt to.

    I think marriage, to women, used to be such a serious, binding commitment. I believe many have had thoughts about their husbands, but then shake their heads and say I know him, I married him, how could HE , possibly have anything to do with something like this. The world pre-1990, was a little more trusting. I think the marriage vows went very deep in many, and it could also be blinding. Think of how people are when their children are suspected. That bond still holds on to today’s views on family. Rarely do women ever accept that their children are responsible for, well, ….anything! Nowadays, marriage means little to most, so this level of commitment now seems foreign, even absurd.

      Will depend on age and experience. This will determine their level of a sense of security or potential threat. We live in a relatively safe country and live our whole lives freely and safely for the most part. The younger you are the less alert you are to potential danger . This also goes for young males too. The evil John Gacy, Nielsen , etc are proof of that.

      As i meat eater i don't care, because i know, that these animals if not by us, will be killed by something else, we still kill them in a much more humane way then wolfs or any other wild animals, and let them live longer life before we kill, do you think wolfs let the small ones go or they kill them and eat them right away?. You plant lovers will never get it, too much binary thinking "If we don't eat them, it means no one else will!".
