Looks great. I love my Rossi R92's. Not sure what you were doing there at the range - loading two at a time? Maybe the range has weird rules? Regardless, good review thanks. I'm betting they will add 45-70 once this proves to be a big hit - which I am sure it will.
Props to Rossi for being the few that put out consistently good products at a phenomenal value! Can’t wait to grab this or their .454 cassull.
Do they still make the 454 casull? Thought they discontinued it many years ago
@@marlenzacharias7301 yup they still do
It should have a full length tube. Other than that I like it.
I got tired of waiting for a Marlin and bought one of these. Very glad I did! Pretty much moa at 100 yards (maybe 1.1 moa with Winchester 170 Power Point). Smooth, reliable and well built. Excellent rifle.
Did you buy the 20 inch?
@@casejasnoch2533 Yes the 20 inch.
Nice looking 👍😊. Maybe you guys will have one as your next giveaway 🤔
Hey boss you think they will make a side gate .357 Mag like a 1894 ?? I would love one just like a marlin 1894 i deff will be a buyer !!
Great iv never cared for the looks of rossi until now 😮I really like the looks of that gun now if they can make them readily available 😮 the ruger marlin are extremely hard to find I would be very satisfied with one of these rossi
Are they going to make one in 360 buckhammer?
Fingers crossed.
That's a beauty. I love my 92 in 45 Colt. The quality is great.
25 yards for a rifle😢😂😂😂
It’s Vance what do you expect, can’t even use it to hunt in Ohio 🤡
That is beautiful,, nice wood,,, but how much slower does the bullet goo out of the trappers 16” barrel?? Vs a standard 20” barrel
4
Usually would be about60 to a 100 fps
IMHO the short magazine tube is a mistake, a 30-30 carbine should be 6 + 1. Heck, some Winchester models are 7 + 1. If it’s not important why not use a button magazine? Don’t get me wrong I’m glad they are back.
I like the style and configuration of the rifle. Bring it out in more cartridges. Add a 22" or 24" version.
.460 S&W Magnum would be great and even better than .45-70. .360 Buckhammer would be another good one.
I think Rossi should buy some of that gorgeous Turkish walnut that the Turkish manufacturers include on their guns for the same price point. That red stained "hardwood" stock is pretty awful.
Just ordered the 16.5 - Can't wait!!
The poor man's Marlin
Looks like usual Rossi winner
I want a 16 1/2. Where are they?
Hombre
Pass. I’ll keep my Brass receiver and trim, 7 capacity Henry side loading 30-30.
Nice video, but you missed some important points that a potential buyer would want to know about. How accurate is this rifle at hunting range? This gun is most certainly going to be used in hunting deer, so why not perform a bench test at 50 yds?? What is the recoil effect compare to other 30-30 platforms?? How is the trigger, and will it need a trigger job?? How easy is it to mount a scope?? Does Rossi have a warranty on this rifle?? I need a deer rifle for Northern WI and became interested in this rifle some months ago but I know little about it.
Why not bring this gun to a range where you can shoot at least 50 yards from a bench to see how accurate it is?
The only downside for me is the small loop lever..Hopfully RPP will make a medium lever for this
I'm getting one with a....medium..?....loop on it. Could be a large loop, idk. It's bigger than the one featured in this video though
That lever is just fine I've used them on my old JM Marlin rifles and it's fine. It's a classic levergun not an pieced together tactical monstrosity.
Needs and I mean needs to be threaded especially the 16.5 inch. Give my left but for a 16 inch threaded lever that I can use my 30 cal can on
Couldn't agree more sir, I had one of my marlin 336 30-30's barrel cut down to 16 inches and threaded and put a can on it and it's like a dream especially using the Leverevolution
🤣🤣 but better!
I have the Rossi triple black in 38/357 , it runs very smooth, cycling has been slick out of the box, it's awesome...... And I'm I interested in the 1895.....it's on my wish list....
Looks like a great new gun, wish they would have threaded the barrel.
Good review Andrew, the Rossi rifle is a little out of its element indoors. Intro’s are about solid information and you were right on point.
Crabs are the end stage of animal evolution
The Marlin 336 is the end stage of lever rifle evolution
You had me until you said..cross bolt safety..
What's the big deal? Just leave it off. It won't magically press itself.
@@camcom76 Traditional lever guns don't have cross bolt safeties. To quote a very well-respected gun aficionado, 'What's the big deal?' Just mfgr without the safety. Lots of other firearms are made with or without, buyers' option.
I've had them on just about every Marlin I've ever owned. Never been an issue but I have used them for unloading.
All this tells me is that the new Marlin plant in Mayodan, NC isn’t producing enough 336 Classics. That rifle looks like a cheap copy.
The "hard wood" stock is an embarrassment to the gun, and it's owner ! For the price it should be of Walnut!
What type of wood is it??
@@kevinbreese5739Brazilian hardwood of some sort, they do not specify.
@@bkb5668 Brazilian Walnut
Get real…that gun is SUPER FUGLY…!!!
You’ve reproduce the Marlin
rossi is cheap taurus junk. if you put 1k of ranger point percision parts on it maybe than it will be good. ill stick to my marlins
Sounds like you already have some marlins, for many they are hard to come by
