- This macaroni and cheese recipe has been proven to be one of the best mac and cheese dishes I have ever made! It has sooo many reviews and I've finally decided to share it with you guys. It was also specially requested, so there's that too! It includes shrimp, lobster, and lump crab meat in every bite and is made with a delicious cheese sauce! No roux, no eggs, no velveeta! FULL LIST OF INGREDIENTS:
Serves: 8-10 Prep Time: 20 Mins Cook Time: 15 Mins
- 1 Lb Elbow Macaroni
- 2 Cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 6 Cups Water
- Salt to Taste
- 2 8oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese Blocks OR 2 Bags of Shredded Cheese
- 1 8oz Gouda Cheese Block OR 1 Bag of Shredded Cheese
- 1 8oz Mozzarella Cheese Block
- 3.5 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Lb Large Raw Shrimp (Peeled/ Deveined/ Tails Off)
- 2 Large Lobster Tails
- 8 oz Container Lump Crab Meat
** Mix all seasonings below and divide them into 2 separate tablespoons and 1 teaspoon. **
- 3 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning ( amzn.to/44WqKHh )
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Ground Mustard
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp Seasoned Salt or Cajun Seasoning
- 1/2 Paprika

Great call on the whipping cream! that's the key. One suggestion, I would give is try adding some Fontina cheese. It's slightly nutty, smooth in flavor and gives you that gooey, melty texture.

I so wish you had used your pan you cooked the shrimp and lobster tails in as the pan to add some more butter and onions, get those translucent, add some garlic and white wine to deglaze the pan. Then build your cheese sauce in that pan with some flour. I believe this technique next time could explode your taste buds and you will love seafood Mac n cheese. Also some better than bouillon lobster base. Still think it’s a great video.
I actually have a seafood pasta recipe on my channel where I do that but I do not use sharp cheddar . Either way, seafood and cheese is a no go for me.. I’m also not a fan of lobster nor shrimp. It’s no way around it lol 😆 I appreciate your feedback though, and maybe one day I’ll be more open to it 😅 Thanks for watching!! 💕💕

Did you make the chicken broth?
I did not. It was an organic store bought broth from aldi
With the lobster tails once you cut the tails on the top crack the tails open and remove the poop just like you would a shrimp
