There’s no honor in fighting a weakened enemy,a true Saiyan wants to fight them at their peak. They are a warrior race and live for battle. They want to test and prove their strength against stronger opponents so when it’s all said and done they both know they gave it all they had. The issue with Vegeta is that even though he did by all accounts WON his first fight with Goku,the fact that a lowborn Saiyan was able to match him in combat and force him to resort to transform into an Oozaru, a form primarily used for leveling civilizations to take care of one lowly Saiyan really fucks with his pride. The fact that he was able to increase his powers well beyond what they were estimated to be in such a short amount of time and make absolute sport and play out of Nappa really pissed him off. Earth was a disaster show for Vegeta and Nappa. What was supposed to be a simple search and destroy mission quickly escalated into a clusterfuck of epic proportions and Vegeta barely escaped with his life. Despite all his training in the otherworld,Goku still was no match against Vegeta and saw this as an opportunity to get even stronger. Goku lives for self improvement and wants to push his powers to their limits and beyond them. He redefined what it means to be a Saiyan. To become a warrior with a pure heart,and strive for unimaginable power for the sake of others and the world around him. The Saiyan society is based off a cast system, when a Saiyan is born they have their powers gaged and once their power level is established,that’s how they determine what their rank in life is supposed to be. They never seemed to take into account that ALL Saiyans can improve upon their power and are capable of becoming Super Saiyans. As a RACE, they ALL have limitless powers and potential which is a factor why Frieza had wiped killed the vast majority of Saiyans because they were growing in strength and numbers and feared of the legendary Super Saiyan would be born amongst them and challenge his rule. When Broly was born they gaged his power level and it was at 10,000 if I remember correctly, him being a mutant among Saiyans,he rivaled King Vegeta and he saw this as a potential threat to his reign and his lineage so had him and his father banished from the planet.
goku vs jiren, gogeta vs broly, even goku vs beerus. all three of these fights have amazing scores, suspension and stakes are present. Music goes perfectly with these fights. Not to mention the choreography of those fights. I’ll have to disagree.

The fight between goku and fireza was on a planet which was about to explode it was a personal battle a fight to the death. And above all else this was supposed to be the last fight of DragonBall z period wasn't supposed to continue after this fight Akira said this on many occasions

The quality of the animation is legendary, the hair flowing, the physics of the environment, the effects of the attacks, water physics etc. I miss animation that could sustain that for over 3 hours.

For everyone who's saying the original dub is cringe,whether it be the lines or Linda's voice acting will never understand good writing and character development.The way Frieza was written and the dialouge was meant to make the watcher feel more of a personal connection with the story.The dialogue to me sounds more natural, like two people in real life having a conversation back then.It doesn't sound scripted like Kai does.Linda's voice will always be superior to anyone who plays Frieza,I love Chris Ayeres bless his heart, but his voice makes Frieza sound so generic and just like every other megalomaniac alien overlord....Linda's voice gave Frieza more of an edge and a uniqueness,like every time you hear her voice it sounds like venom.
I prefer Ayres voice, but tbh I think he shines way more in super and the Broly movie, as Kai suffered not so much from his performance of the role as it did being well, Kai. Love Lindas performance too though, its certainly unique and she does it fantastically

It is but it has vegetas reduced lines. That's why he sounds very deep here when he was higher pitched. I compared this side by side with my original US releases. It is the remastered audio version. The rest is correct and 1:1. It bugs me because he sounds much deeper than the 3 ish major enemies after Freeza.
The best part about classic dbz is the subtle, small details in animation. The diverse ways in how each character powers up, how it effects the enviorment, the facial expressions, everything. You don't get stuff like this often nowadays.

The start of 2:36:32 is one of the coolest moments in all of DBZ in my opinion. Even though this never happened in the Manga, I thought it was cool that Vegeta got to see Super Saiyan Goku fighting Frieza; especially with the Faulconer score.
The funny thing is in the beginning they were just having fun together. It's almost like they have a little bromance going on and they would be able to become friends if Freeza would just not insist on being evil

I prefer it and the ocean dub prior over the remastered release or kai.

It is but it has vegetas reduced lines. That's why he sounds very deep here when he was higher pitched. I compared this side by side with my original US releases. It is the remastered audio version. The rest is correct and 1:1. It bugs me because he sounds much deeper than the 3 ish major enemies after Freeza.

This dub is the absolute best
The best part about classic dbz is the subtle, small details in animation. The diverse ways in how each character powers up, how it effects the enviorment, the facial expressions, everything.
You don't get stuff like this often nowadays.

Which is exactly why these new transformations don't do it for me. The showcasing of power was just handled so much better back then. A bit funny that now what's considered the weaker forms had more of a god-like display than the actual "god" forms.

The start of 2:36:32 is one of the coolest moments in all of DBZ in my opinion. Even though this never happened in the Manga, I thought it was cool that Vegeta got to see Super Saiyan Goku fighting Frieza; especially with the Faulconer score.
