Psr sx600 vs s770 which is better in sound quality?
Please make a comparison between this YAMAHA PSR-SX600 & KORG PA600!
May I know how to connect an XLR mic to the SX600.
I have a SM58, can it be used directly with a “XLR to jack” cable?
@@esphilee you can use a karaoke microphone cable, it has XLR for the MIC and the 1/4" connector going into the MIC input of the keyboard. My Tyros keyboard has similar MIC input, that is how I plug a MIC into it.
Best value for money. Psr sx 600 has all same function as psr sx700 and 900. Just the difference in touch screen and those two have more sound but styles are almost the same. Im happy with psr sx600
Absolutely
Pero la calidad de sonido no es la misma Bro

Jeremy, your reviews are so well appreciated and above all with all the necessary great information requested. Thank you for the endless time and detail that your bring to your reviews as I hope that you'll continue educating us all with what is relevant in today's jungle of keyboards as so many not worth even looking at.
I wonder when a new PSR series is due to come out. I very much hope that it will be sooner then later. Hopefully it will also include aftertouch and new technologies and better styles and sounds in the mix
Finally, a real review of this keyboard. Yamaha should have sent you one of these months ago. You will single-handedly have more influence in the purchase decision making of this keyboard than anyone else on UA-cam. Looking forward to more videos on this keyboard's features. Good reporting job, as usual.
Unfortunately, Yamaha Music Asia don't think this way. 😅 They rather send keyboards to instagrammers who pose pretty pictures with their keyboards
Meanwhile under the sea, as my sixth sense knows (not), Captain Nemo's just on his way from Korg to Spore...
@@JeremySee The reason is that u make unbiased review for us...... I think u r doing right job in a word... Such a reviewer is a blessings for us...
I agree! The yamaha marketing are wayyy behind. I could easily churn out a really top class review for the PSR. I have the PSR S910 and there is little out there
@@JeremySee , IMO, you could be one too.
Ur video was worth the wait Jeremy.
And looking forward for the comparison with pa300
Thank You So Much for the Review Jeremy!
I'll buy in probably in the end of the Year
Love Your Videos!
Glad you like them!
Great review. Already purchased the SX600 (should receive next week), so for me this is just a great walkthrough of some of the features, and some of the shortcomings. Got quite a few instruments myself (software and hardware), but this one is our family instrument, so the approximate 800 usd we paid is already pretty much the max at the moment. Thus, some of the features available on the higher models are out of the current price-range. Nice to see that the SX600 gets a few unique features as well though. Cheers!
I am going with the PSR-SX600. Thanks, Jeremy!
I love the definition and the separation of sounds, how they sound and fit together I really like it
The mic feature is most fascinating...pop waltze music very enticing also. Great video✌
Like the extended features. Thanks for your info-presentation.
Whoa ❤️ The flamenco guitar took me by surprise ❤️❤️🔥 Great video as always J 👍
Yeah
That was so realistic
14:14: JEREMY SINGS! Nice job, and outstanding review. It is definitely time to upgrade from my Casio WK 3800 and this seems like the choice -- but it seems that I should wait to see what the updates of the 700 and 900 of the series are like.
Thanks as always for your thoroughness, and your production quality is starting to go off the charts 😊
thank you for your kind words Gary.
Hello from England,
I spend hours watching your reviews and like the way that you explain in easy to understand language.
I think I'll buy a psr sx600 based on your review, this will be my first keyboard and I like to think that I will grow in to it.
Good work and many thanks.
Great choice. Have fun!
What a helpful video love you're voice in the begins. Thanks you again Jeremy👏👍👍👏👏💖💖😘😘😍😍😊😊😊
I think you are the only one that highlight the important feature that keyboardist wants to know on youtube. Very informative. I dont know that this keyboard are so powerful at this price.
Is that possible for you to share the factory styles so that S or SX series owner can enjoy the new style on the sx600?
Love the styles and variations. The guitar sound is amazing. The microphone input and effects are really great. How nice to have such smooth reverb..
Truly. This is one of the most complete and competent all-in-one entertainment and recording keyboard for under $1K. My absolute best recommendation to my students who have a bigger budget and don't want to upgrade anytime soon.
Thanks! Jeremy..
You make it easier for us to get acquainted better with all these fabulous instruments though your channel.
May God bless you and your family...
Merry Xmas!!!🤗
My pleasure!
I first smash the LIKE, then I watch, that is how I roll on this channel.
I was looking at the new cheaper EW310 but this SX series has my full attention, Im happy to pay the extra premium $ for this model.
Happy New Year Jeremy, thank you for all your videos. Wish you and your family all best in 2022 in both personal and professional life.
I am looking to buy my next keyboard and I am thorn between this one and the Medeli AX10 (there is also its clone sold by Thomann but with less memory).
Watched all your videos, but still not sure.
Need to say is that I care more about how the included instruments sound (piano mostly) than number of instruments (many of which we end up never to use anyways).
Another great feature is firmware update possibility (or not) and new instruments/styles being possible to add. Thanks
Excellent Jeremy , nice review also your voice....thanks.
Thanks mate. Your reviews are fantastic and have all the necessary great information needed. Thank you for the endless time and detail that your bring to your reviews. Well done 😃😃
Jeremy sir your voice is so professional and tutorial is very good....
Jeremy I was thinking of going for a korg but your UA-cam video on sx600 , walk-thru has been a great learning tool as to what are the features that others don't say or highlight
Thank you for your work, you are an inspiration for young musicians who can't afford expensive gear.
this year i'm thinking of buying my first keyboard and was thinking of taking E473. but now i think i'm going with this one. thanks for this review 😁
Mine finally arrives after 3 weeks waiting. On first day, I test out with all the basic functionalities including all the extra styles (Western, Asian) I got and used on my Tyros 3. All seem to work fine.
Load MIDI songs I created on Tyros, this SX600 play them nicely, cannot tell the difference between Tyros playing and SX600 playing.
On second day, I setup MIC with my preferred vocal effect and do some audio recording, again recording quality for vocal is on par with Tyros 3.
I also setup the first Assignable button to control the volume of the right hand part of the keyboard. I did the same thing on Tyros and this helps to match the keyboard volume with rythm volume.
The second button is for reverb effect of right hand keyboard.
Pretty straight forward, although there are few operations that are not the same as Tyros3. DIRECT ACCESS is one good example.
The small screen does not bother me as I can read it very clearly. The up/down/left/right button for navigating the screen is kind of awkward to start with, but after a while, I get used to it.
Why I bought this SX600 while already have a Tyros3? It's for gigs in small areas, such as private home parties, not so major show. Tyros3 is for larger places and more important shows (in large hall or restaurants).
And my students can use this when coming for lessons instead of using my Tyros3. I use to have a KORG PA-50 for these small gigs, the trouble is that it does not have enough styles I need. It certainly does not load Yamaha styles. So glad that SX600 has the TEMPO/RESET button that the really old PA-50 already had (3 layers too, SX600 only has two layers).
I truly recommend this SX600 for folks that do not want to spend 2X that much for an advanced keyboard. Do not feel restricted by the number of styles, there are literally thousands of Yamaha styles out there to buy.
I will try ACCENT and UNISON next to see if these features are useful for me.
Thanks for sharing!
Great review and voice! Greetings from 🗿Chile 🇨🇱
Great video. Nice that you added a vocal. Please can you sing more songs and sing them for a little longer?
Really nice keyboard and good singing of Jeremy sir.....🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I've been using the sx600 and I love it alot! 😄
Lucky you!!! ❤️
How is the feel? The keys feel like plastic?
Had this a couple of months its great.more i use it amazing keyboards
Super helpful! Thank you
Good and informative video. Thank you!
New semi pro toy! Nice one mr jerremy
Good review as usual... Waitng for sx600 vs pa 300.......
That singing was wonderful!
Thank you fo your kind words my friend.
Thanks to you Jeremy, I’ve got my Sx600. Good keyboard but i think I should have saved up and got the Sx900 instead. I love your videos. Thank You 👍
Fantastic keyboards so many sounds.
really good presentation. your videos are so simple but understanding very much
I am glad you like them. Thank you for your kind compliments. 😍
*Nice intro* Loved.
Thanks for the video.
Great review Jeremy. Being a pro series keyboard its surprising that the mic input is not an xlr 1/4 combi jack. An interesting comparison would be between the Yamaha PSR-E473 and the PSR-SX600, given that the latter is 3X the cost, explaining what significant differences are.
In my country, SX600 is currently 700,- and E473 ist 380,-. SX-700, the next higher model, is 1200,-. All prices in € incl. VAT.
Great review
Thank you Jeremy see for the good work ❤
I bought this keyboard two weeks ago l am very happy amazing insturment
Great choice. Have fun!
THANK YOU For All information.
Excellent demo and opinion s.
Wow I love this review so much sir. Thank u alot
Glad you liked it!
Really nice keyboard
Indeed!
@@JeremySee 4:40 I guess these sx600 have grand piano sound very good. We have to get onto the legacy menu, find it between the XG voice, there's a grand piano voice stored up.
I'm first. Excellent video showcasing and reviewing the Yamaha PSR - SX 600 Jeremy!
A very underated review brother 🎉 Respect ur effort
Great review.
It has so many useful things for live performance the unison, accent functions and the four main variations for the styles. Is it easy to create your own styles? Main reasons for me to go for the sx700 are: touchscreen, better keys, better speakers, better sounds, better built quality of everything. Sx600 is for sure great vfm choice though.
Wow love yr singing
Thanks for review too
Blessings
Blessings to you too Doreen.
Apart from review his singing is fabulous!
Thank you for your kind words.
Every essential switches are on the house😍😍😍
Yes, it was worth this money. Even just to play "Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You" or "La Cumparsita" tango. Having played PSR-27 form 90's, imagine what step up is this. I am super happy.
An EXCELLENT instrument though the screens a bit on the small side.
Hi Jeremy, I just bought the psrSX600. I gave my PSR E363 to my 11 yr. old grandson. He started playing piano 6 months ago. His music teacher said that my grandson is the most gifted student she has ever had in over 20 yrs. So I'm hoping he will enjoy the 363 keyboard to explore his talent. I am overwhelmed with the psrSX600! So many voices and styles to choose that I'm having trouble deciding what arrangements go best with certain songs. This is indeed a work station! . I also have the old PSR 3000 which I use in church. It's wonderful and easy to play. Is there an app you sell that can guide me to pick out voices & styles to match songs? Thank-you kindly for your help.
I have some money waiting for this SX600, i own one S650 and i was looking for the S670 but the drum kits were almost the same and i decide to wait for this one, and i'm still waiting 😂 cuz i'm from México, thanks for the video!
Actually, ended up cancelling our order of the SX600. The super articulated pianos, the upgraded keybed and the bigger screen (and more kid friendly touch screen) made me change my mind, so I put in a few hundred extra out of my own pocket to get the SX700 instead. For me, as a hobby musician through many years now, the difference is worth it. I spent countless hours in DAW environments testing out different piano models (with round robins etc.), and I know how much difference better sounds can do to playing enjoyment. The SX700 seems like a really good compromise, without having to sell a kidney to afford it.
Would you sell your kidney to get Genos?
THANK YOU.
Hi Jeremy, excellent review. I'm thinking to take this one as replacemente of PSR 463. Does it have a better recording facility? Is there a step/loop sequencer? I need this type of feature and PSR E463 does not have it.
This guy is THE daddy when it comes to reviews..miss em at your peril folks!
Thank you for your kind words. Good to see you around my friend.
Looks really great, but too much for a beginner like me 😆😆😆... maybe one day...
Nice video, as usual!
I'm getting one next week
Nice video :)
Great work...bro, you need to do vocal/key covers, fine voice
Thank you fo your kind words my friend.
Great video like this keyboard
Better Than Old PSR S670!,I Like The Black Colour,LCD SCREEN And Also THE ALL PRESET AND STYLES!
Hi Jeremy. So, over the years I've had Cvp 208, psr s 900, and others. I wanted to try this out because it sounded a bit too good on line! Powered it up and thought it sounded very very thin, but could tell the samples were shouting to be heard properly. Just brought in one of my powered ev zlx speakers to add to the mid and bottom end and wow!!! This sounds like a $2000 keyboard now. The ethereal movie style is beautiful. Have yamaha cut their nose to spite their face? I'm not sure the psr sx900 is worth nearly 3 times the price now I've plugged into one of my powered ev's. Another great video. Thanks.
Well said! The weakest link in the SX600 is the aneamic speakers. The SX900 caters to a bunch of players who simply need the glossiest and best. It's where Yamaha makes the fattest margins at $1,200 USD more than the SX600. 😉
@@JeremySee so, I dont believe in sequencing, having been a demonstrator of yamaha and technics in a previous life. I have just put together a very basic registration using orchestral sounds and using ethereal style for aha's "stay on these roads". Absolutely stunning now I'm pushing the product through only one of my zlx 12's. I might bring in my stage pas 600BT, and make use of the mixer for the keys and vocals. Make no doubt folks, this keyboard is easily good enough to work with. Either this is way too cheap, or the 700 and 900 are too expensive!
Hey Jeremy, your keyboards reviews are excellent and appreciated by many eh👍.
I understand the SX700 has the vocal harmoniser feature, but does the SX700 also have ALL the same Vocal FX options as you display on the 600 screens in this review video? Thank you. Cheers, Garzo
Jeremy you are an amazing musician I keep watching your videos . What format do these 3 keyboards recognize for eg. most of the yamaha models use the .sty format , Tyros uses the .prs format and the Korg has a different format . So what I want to know if song styles in .sty format would play on these yamaha SX models
Hi Jeremy as always you're info is useful. I just want to know if this keyboard has a haromonizer like the 900
The DGX series is overdue for new unit. I'll will holdout for even more bang for buck.
Jeremy, please make a review of the Kurzweil KP 300X. Planning to buy this one but sadly, there are NO reviews anywhere!🙄🙄
The SX-series(particularly the SX900)...would have been a nice offering from Yamaha, for me to seriously consider....if it weren't for the existence of the Korg Nautilus. The Nautilus 61 key is $200 cheaper than the Yamaha SX900 and absolutely blows the SX900 out of the water.I know that arranger workstations are generally more expensive, due to all of the extra auto-accompaniments...but even still, the Nautilus does SO MUCH more than any other keyboard in this price range...by far!
Excellent detailed review, but In the title it should be put straight that it refers to PSR-SX600 - would be a lot more viewers I assume.
Your voice is amazing 💝💝😍😍🥰🥰
Hi Jeremy!
I really enjoy many of your videos. I am an old guy of 73 years who started playing the keyboard a year ago.
Now I would very much like to know how to install an expansion style pack on Yamaha psr sx 600. I have looked to see if you have already made such a video, without finding it.
Have you made such a video, or do you have it in writing that I can download?
Sincerely
The Old Man in Denmark
Still waiting for you to cover the more _recent_ models in this category, particularly the Korg Pa5x model. This one (as with most of the rest you've done) is just old news already!
I like your teaching bro ❤❤❤❤
This oriental styles combine very well with lots of occidental melodies. I think this Yamaha PSR-SX600 will be a good tool for composers too.
Indeed it’s an excellent instrument, however the only gripe is the size of the screen as it could’ve been an inch or two larger. I’m purchasing a PSR SX 600 for portability as I already own a stunning Genos and it’s too big to take out so the 600 will come in very handy.
Have you got it yet?
I agree with you that PSR SX600 is better than ever. Now Yamaha got right way to offer the opportunity to brazilian musician to create the original local rhythm that only brazilian musicians are able to deal with music.
Hello jeremy i had buy the sx600 15 days ago and it's a fantastic keyboard. I have 2 keyboard :psr sx600 and korg pa700. Goodbye jeremy 😀
Lucky you!!!
Hello Jeremy, nice review as always. You are the only one not recording demos and giving real opinion about the instrument. I'm upgrading soon my psr-s670, is it worth the wait for the update on the Korg pa-700 or go for it? Do you have more info about when is going to happen? Thanks and regards from Spain
Thank you for your kind words. The PA Series might be getting a complete revamp and may not be called the PA series anymore. 😉
@@JeremySee I see, but nothing about the time of that happening? A month, three months...?
G R E E T I N G S.....JEREMY, how is the settings on the MIDI CHANNELS and DAW intergrations.
Cheers Jeremy, nearly missed the video because I thought you were reviewing a piano, not an arranger keyboard!
Hi Jeremy,
I am from Thailand. I like your preivew.
Thanks Jeremy I use PSR 670
Hi Jeremy, thanks to your review. I finally bought sx600. By the way, can you tell the appropriate style and tempo for Teresa Teng's Osaka Shigeru? Thanks and best regards🙏
Nice video. I still cannot decide between the PSR SX600 and the PA300, i do regular solo live performances, sometimes i use my guitar, sometimes keyboard. I already have a Boss VE-2, so the vocal function is not a deciding factor. What would you suggest? And they are both in the same price range, so it's confusing. Thanks.
Hi Jeremy, how would you compare the acoustic and electric piano sounds on the Sx600 vs those on the Casio Ctx3000/5000 ? From listening to the demos on youtube, they seem to be better on the Casio. Thanks!
Jeremy, can an ordinary keyboard sound like an old grand piano when it's recorded using a midi cable
excellent, can you tell me which EQ and Compressor you are using
i like your videos
That was an awesome review ☺️
So Nice!!! I have a question. I know that the sx600 has an audio interface function that transmits audio and MIDI through USB, unlike the sx900,700. Is it possible to directly transfer the audio input from the microphone to the computer USB?
always present
Hi Jeremy Lee. Cool videos. Would the SX600 be much better than the older PSR S900 for playing back song midi files? Which has the best styles sound? Any advice appreciated. thanks
S900 is quite old with legacy drums and voices. But the Legacy styles (For those who originally used the older S Series and prior to the S-Series keyboards) still sounds awesome, like ContempRock on the S900.
The SX600 has Real! Drums found on the S770 to make it awesome. In addition, better styles, more quantity (415 Styles on the SX600 compared to the 305 on the S900), fantastic drums and percussion. So I would go with the SX600.
Excellent review of an excellent keyboard. You're brilliant, Sir!
Thank you fo your kind words my friend.
