Do you know what i really appreciate. The lack of loud background music.
The narration and editing lets the information flow.
Also....i know i could nod off quite easlier.
    WELL DONE SIR👍🏾

Plus the lack of breathless, hyper-dramatic narration, which turns factual education into fanciful entertainment.
      Well done, Sir, indeed.

This channel is so underrated. It's frustrating because it's so good! From the content to the narrator's voice is just perfect! I hope you keep posting! love the channel! thank you for what you do

Cheers, thanks so much for your kind words. I have many more videos in the works, it's just about finding the time to write the scripts and edit!

Excellence is isolating. As long as Philip is able to sustain it financially, the count of viewers of the channel becomes secondary to the classy content. All the best to this channel.

History becomes new and interesting each time you dress it up it in such excellent words. The script and narration are superb as usual. Thank you, Philip.

This channel is truly remarkable. The script is crafted with great care, but it's your voice that truly sets it apart. Listening to you feels like absorbing the content of ten books simultaneously, particularly on this historical era. Please continue your excellent work, and I eagerly anticipate more video releases from you (perhaps a 40-minute video on the Cambridge Five, Philby, and Burgess - that would be delightful!).😀

What's worth mentioning about the Cuban missile crisis, is that for the entire duration, the Soviets had a hotline to the U.S. Ambassador's office. They'd a bug right above his desk.

It contained no internal power source, no moving parts, no continuous RF emissions, no ferrous materials that could be readily detected-and yet it could be energized on-demand to broadcast audio from inside the room to a listening receiver in a neighboring building. The engineers who made these radio devices had brilliant minds.

I feel your UA-cam channel is criminally under viewed. Been binge watching your stuff and seeing sub 100k views where I’d almost certainly expect >1 million views. Perfect blend of entertainment and education voiced by a fantastic narrator. Good stuff, subbed for sure.

The proper historical account and careful mention of world power reliance on this art is apt. It highlights a major trend of all world powers and most times dictators.

Russia...a long time ago, two Babushkas gossip about the neighbors, uncovering their
dirt, and most hideous secrets. Some time later, Putin: "ФCб появился на свет
благодаря сплетням двух русских бабушек о своих соседях. Мы должны поблагодарить их за служение стране. У нас лучшие разведывательные
    службы в мире." 🤔Grandmothers....Who would have thought?😂🤣

Nothing about breaking the Purple cipher? This directly led to the victory at Midway. And contrary to popular belief, the Enigma code was originally broken by Marian Rejewski. Alan Turing (and others) scaled up the original Polish Bomba machine at Bletchley Park.
