I bought one on sale this spring, it's a 2023 model matte black just like yours. I love it. I had trouble with the dropper post as well, but Trek warrantied it, and I got a new one. It works good now.
Bought a roscoe 7 to get back into mountain biking last October, and it was a great ride. Super easy maintenance, decent brakes and drive train. I ride a roscoe 9 now and I wish I just bought it immediately, but I still recommend the 7 to new riders all the time.
Everything that said was spot on. But I still kind of wish that I had only gotten the frame and built it up myself. Turns out that I don't really like how they(Trek) spec'd the 7 out. 28h micro spline hubs ? Really. I know exactly what they were thinking. $$$$$$ I estimate that my Roscoe will be dope in about a year after 5 upgrades that they could have easily done and still made their 30% profit. 👍 I love the frame.
I got my Roscoe 7 on Olive Color 4 months ago and plan to put a 150 mm travel Marzocchi Coil Fork to soak up the suspension harness by the stocks Rockshox Recon when riding on blue trails.
I commented earlier a couple weeks ago that I traded my Roscoe 6 2024 version in for a Roscoe 7 and I have had it for a week now breaking em in and man I made the right choice! I absolutely love it from 1st ride.! Now I see why there including yourself why there are so many great reviews about this sweet ride!!
Awesome! 👏 ❤ I just picked my Miami Green Roscoe 7 just yesterday for my birthday! I love it so much. I am glad I picked it up instead of the Marlin 7 Gen 2. Enjoy yours. Thanks for the cool video.
Just traded in my new Roscoe 6 2024 for a Roscoe 7 2023 version. I’ve read and watched way too many great reviews of the 7 and I’m excited in about another week to be riding it! Great video man!
Just picked up the Roscoe 9 for $1800. It was on sale for $2k and my local Trek shop stacked the military discount on top of the sale price. $1800 for the Roscoe 9 is a friggin steal considering the spec.
Yeah I just picked up the Roscoe 9 in Crimson Red for £1359.99, don't know what that is dollars but I know it's a steal, roll on next week when it arrives!!!
@@Razzy_82 that’s almost exactly what I paid if you use the £1.00/$1.30 transfer rate 🤑. I’m a veteran so I’m glad I got the Desert Sand to OD Green fade. I’m also OCD about matching so I got the Fox Speedframe and Troy Lee Stage helmets both in camo that match it perfectly 🤪
Where did you get your Marzocchi z2. How much. I’m looking at getting one of those. I heard they come in red. I have tricked my bike out in red accents. Thanks.
I bought it second hand for $200. It was pretty much brand new. I think they're about $450 directly from marzocchi. Sometimes you're able to catch discounts though.
Sick bike! I just got one myself and its such a beast 💪🏾
Ive just bought one in Miami green. Gets delivered in a couple of days.
@@Epiales3 congrats, enjoy!

@@donald2976 yeah those droppers are known for being faulty. Glad you got it warrantied. Enjoy the bike!
Great review. I’m just moving on from my old SuperFly hardtail and got either a Roscoe 8 or a Procaliber 9.5 in my sights
Both great bikes. I would that comes down to if you want a Trail/XC or a Agressive trail bike

Just picked up my Roscoe 7 today. Looking forward to hitting the trails tomorrow morning
Loving my Roscoe 7. I upgraded the handle bars, stem, grips and pedals.

Just got my Roscoe 7 (2024) today, in olive green. Looks absolutely beautiful... was a bargain too. Cant wait to get on it
Yeah man, that's the one I'm waiting for right now. £950 yes.
@automat3000 yes mate, its a steal

@WStar4Life nice! I couldn't stand the black paint splatter on that one, good job I like red really or I was going to get a Orbea Laufey H30 instead
@@WStar4Lifeim not american but thanks for ur service haha😂
Wow !! Love the color scheme !!❤
Great review! Is Roscoe 8 really better than 7? Perhaps a better fork and brakes?
I think you're spot on. The fork on the 8 is a bit better, and I believe the brakes are 4 piston. Everything else is a marginal difference.
Don't forget the hub. The hub is much better on the 8 as well with very high engagement
The 8 also has a SRAM drivetrain.
May be picking one up soon. Great video! What stem is that?
@@Trailblaza322 it's a v2 stem from ali express haha

is this a good bike for a new rider getting into MTB if I want to learn tricks and perhaps get into dirtjumping later down the road?
@@happysquirtle466 yes it is. The Roscoe is essentially a big dirt jumper. It jumps really well.
I have the same bike as well.
What size is the frame ?
@@coryslater1282 Mines a XL. The bike comes in all of the standerd sizes.
@@BikeWithJohn I have an xl 7 as well.
I feel like the xl is kinda long
@coryslater1282 You could consider getting a shorter stem and some rise bars to bring the reach back.
roscoe 7 or siskiu d6 or siskiu dse
@@ReC.e dont get sucked into a cheap full suspension. I recommend the Trek roscoe 7. Much better spec and proven reliability
@@BikeWithJohn those were my thoughts too, but just needed some confirmation 👍
