  • In this video I explain basic setup and technics to help a beginner fisherman get started spider-rigging.
Fishing for early spring crappie in muddy water on Green River Lake. Water temps are starting to warm, and the fish are on the move.
If you have any questions about spider-rigging or equipment that I’m using, please leave a comment below.

Thanks for the video. It's Saturday and about 21 degrees so I was looking for something to get me excited for the up coming warm days. I liked the video I haven't tried spider rigging and don't have the set up for it. With the equipment I have I would probably end up loosing a rod or two. Oh well guess I will stick with single pole live scope. (If I can get it updated and dialed back in.) Again thanks for the video.

Which unit do you have? I’ve punched on mine and a decent picture, but still nothing like before.

We're going to try some spider rigging up north in Michigan this summer. What is the weight of your barrel lead weight? Looks like it's about 12-18 inches above the jig?

I have not Spider-rigged on Dale cause the water is usually so clear. Casting and long lining seem to best for me.
If I was going to spider-rig I’d go towards the back of the creeks and look for dirtier water.

I had them custom built by Cumberland Crappie. Unfortunately he had some health issues and is no longer in the fabrication business. You might call and ask if there is any old stock parts laying around and have someone weld them.
I can send pictures of how mine is set-up if needed.

Ive fish all over the country and every state is different. Some have pole limits and bait limits per pole. I have ran 8 rods with double jigs for a total of 16 baits, but once you find the color they want it’s impossible to run that many!

I hate seeing guys with pre rigged poles hanging on the back of a boat while they cruz around. . What a lazy way to fish. What's the point. I mean really. I swear, there are people that will ruin any sport or past time.
