I just want to say that seeing your scale number made me feel good and affirmed. I'm a tall person like you and whenever I go on the scale I feel like a failure because my BMI is supposedly high but I feel good and fit, and I like that I'm fuller in some places and toned in others. I believe think and thin women to be equally attractive when they're confident in what they have. I enjoy exercise just as much as I enjoy eating but the scale always makes me feel like I'm the only one, that I'm an optical illusion, that I'm doing something wrong. I may be heavier than you but you feel like you are kin to me. Thanks for that.

I went to three family weddings alone the last two years, I have another two family weddings to go to plus my sister just got engaged.
I couldn't care less what people think. I'm focusing on myself and my happiness. I don't need another being to make me happy. If it happens, ok, if it doesn't, awesome life and I'll adopt if I want children.

Agatha jay The video is discussing the importance of having someone to chaperone you to functions and the peer pressure of being seen alone is a taboo when you reach a certain age. I really don't think it matters whether you go alone or with someone. If you have someone, good on them, if they don't have a plus one it's not the end of the world. Things will happen and fall into place at a time that's suitable for the individual.
Also, passing on knowledge and power doesn't necessarily have to be your own children. It could be the children of your siblings or the students at a school as a teacher.
I see where you're coming from and I absolutely agree. Perhaps this quote from Lady Gaga just struck a cord with me because I've dated perhaps the "wrong" men who don't think it's possible "to have both a relationship and chase your dreams". Perhaps I'm just tilted by my last relationship because they didn't understand this concept.
In saying that, the way I also see Lady Gaga's quote is with another quote I feel compliments my situation, "Don't invest in a guy based on how much you like him; invest in a guy based on how much he invests in you"- Matthew Hussey.
In a way, it's really up to the individual's circumstances and how it applies to them.
I honestly respect and enjoy having this discussion with you. TBA, just still "fresh" with my circumstances that's why I feel so passionate and semi-biased about the situation :P
