Pre show?. You mean to tell me this is not actual grammys?
@@jacquelineharris6912 ... It's the actual Grammy's, but there are certain genres of music that aren't deemed popular enough to be televized, so they do a pre show for those artists. A lot of them don't even bother to show up bc there's no fanfare or media recognition for it. Rap awards used to be given during this ceremony as well, that's why rap artists used to boycott the Grammy's.

the main commercial awards are given during the televised part of the show, but the Grammy Awards show starts a couple of hours before that, and all the other awards are given out at that time (non-commercial stuff - gospel, classical, blues, jazz, etc...etc...) .... by the time the televised portion starts, the place is full
