You think you're joking, but this is actually true. I used to play a temur control deck with zero nonland permanents, and nobody ever scooped because they saw an empty board and thought they were winning. Until they saw 75 copies of Lightning Strike on the stack.
You play 1 creature though? They don't care if its a 1/1 that draws a card, they're out of there.
This is why MTGA needs a location feature so you can fight IRL after the match. "Would you like to track down the blue player?"
Imagine the people what people who lost to mono red cause of bad draw luck would do with this feature tho😂

This deck is the deckification(?) of typing out a risky text, deleting it, trying again, deleting, rewriting, deleting again, and then just giving up
I really like monocoloured decks that focus on a talent.
It is cool how they often have a finisher built into their level 3.
really liking the Talents and really really didn't see them getting the play that they are prior to release.
I played bounce in a tournament. It was quite regular that the half hour limit meant the games were a 0-0 draw. I trolled hard that day.
I am f2p in mtga and didnt have a blue deck or black deck for the quest/mission thingies so i made a blue deck that is all bounce and counter spells with a few draw cards and no win con because it was great to play the most spells which is what the missions called for, black deck was all removal with the bat that doubles life loss and the spree spell that does half their life. Most obnoxious possible decks but they make the missions one game finishes.

Mono blue tempo is how I got in to magic and I am here for it. Having your stuff bounced might actually be the most annoying thing in the game
Why is it annoying? You can still play it afterwards. Now counters and discard spells...
@@Goldy01you replay it, and it get bounced again, and again, and again, and again…. You still have it in hand, you can play it, but it’s fonctionally useless. I tried this deck, and my opponents would only have lands for more than a turn on the battlefield, although I countered them three time in the entire game.
that first game was misplayed bad, still need to bounce before the card draw on ruckus, it is mono red after all, don't give em gas, and the djin shoulda traded with a 3/3 and bounced the haste, have plenty more bounce spells in the deck who cares about haste, what mattered is tempo. no hate, love you and rarren, fav channel.
So correct me if I'm wrong but if you bounce the ruckus target would they not draw a card since it's being casted and the target would no longer be there so ruckus would fizzle and they don't draw a card....
I usually just like watching the deck explanations, but this was my jam. Loved watching you bounce everything lol

I actually took the first Draft of this, added two Jace's and have a lot of fun with the deck. Currently at Plat 1 for reference. I don't claim this will carry me to Mythic, but it's hilarious how often players concede, because they are just annoyed.
It can hold back Mono red if you draw into Flow to reload, it shits on Discard which are the 2 meta decks I face. It demolishes Domain/Ramp, because you just bounce their big hitters.
You win most control matchups with the Jace.
Biggest trouble for me is Convoke, Blue Tempo and go-wide boards (Rabbits), because we lack a good mass bounce effect. Season of Weaving is very expensive.
Bonus point is that you clear the blue quests in one or two games.

can we talk about CGB doing one-take-jakes intros, and describe all combos, interactions, reasons for or against cards (tbh I think its perfect and how intros should be, stright to the point and describe all were doing. 10/10 and props for 1TJ)

It's basically surveil tribal with Enhanced Surveillance to find all 4 hedrons and get them where they're needed.

Now this is what I watch CGB for. I had a lot of success with bounce spells against mono red. Really hope we get a bouncy board wipe, I think blue deserves it.

@@Jimbo693 yeah kinda like season of weaving, just that it isn't so expensive (depopulate was on 4, sunfall on 5). Also, tokens just dodge it (no creature dodges sunfall)
Maybe a miser's jace for the ramp decks. You can back it up with bounce to -4 repeatedly in the super lategame for the mill kill, and with flows you have the ability as well as time to draw your deck in that matchup.
I'd say Duelist of the mind would be a good addition. Crime card draw. Extra draw from frog.
I love bounce decks. They are my favorite type of magic the gathering deck. I do not recommend using them on your real life friends though.

I like your videos, I mostly play Brawl but you make a lot of Standard Decks look really fun. Sadly trying to collect cards for Standard and Brawl is quite hard. I will have to make an updated standard deck someday.

Red is necessary, otherwise slow decks like ramp and control is too strong. However right now red is a bit too consistent and too fast

I think being spoiled is very much a first world problem. We already know that James Bond is going to save the world, but we watch anyway for the journey. To see how it happens.
Just because you heard about the ending doesn't mean the film/game isn't worth seeing for yourself. I mean for starters you don't even know they're telling the truth. Or you might view yourself and have an entirely different interpretation because of your perspective.
I've been winning with like a 70% win rate in mythic BO1 with normal mono blue. It's not bounce spell tribal but plays a decent number. Bounce spells are really strong against the prowess decks that are running around now, you'd think mono blue would be bad against aggro but it's actually my best matchup.

Awesome deck, one of my favorites in a while, right up my alley. I'm not sure how this works, but: you were saying you couldn't prevent the Archangel of Wrath triggers because of the Cavern, but can't you bounce the angel with the triggers on the stack? Since it's the Archangel dealing the damage, if she's no longer on the battlefield, doesn't the trigger fizzle?
Abilities that refer to the source of the ability (Archangel's triggers) exist independently of the source. If the source changes zones before the ability resolves, the ability will use the source's last known characteristics. For example, Heartfire Hero still deals full damage when it dies, even though it's in the graveyard when that ability resolves, and pump spells/enchantments/equipment don't affect it anymore. You're thinking of targeted abilities, which do fizzle if they have no legal targets.
Unfortunately that’s not how it works. Think of cacophony scamp - it deals damage when it dies, which just wouldn’t work if that made the triggers fizzle.
Trigger still resolves. That interaction works against cards that care about the power of the creature. With it being a static damage, the trigger doesn't care of Archangel exists.

Did try this deck only face 4 mono red on 20 matches this game is rigged i did face all the time control white or blue white or mirror matches. To ad insult to injury game gave me only cretures spell most of the time when this deck have so many kill spells i can't even begin to explain how rigged this game is.
