A lot of people hitting the dislike button, yet not a lot of comments able to disprove anything I said.
Completely unsurprising yet still disappointing.
In theory these books are really cool ideas, but your reviews helped stir me away. I want information, development stories, fun facts, not just screenshots and opinions
Damn, it's a shame to see this! I've not picked up anything from them but now know to avoid.
What are the other publishers you won't buy from?
Taschen and Flesk.
@@TheArtandMakingof I have only 1 Taschen artbook, it was for H R Giger and they ruined it. It's small but very thick, so of course it's full of double page spreads with huge chunks lost in the centre fold.
I've not been impressed with Udon in terms of build quality, especially paperbacks, the bindings are just blocks of glue and the covers pop off. The Elden Ring books had poor covers too.
Aw man I love point&click adventures, and an art book about it could've been so good!!!!
The art looks great?? The giant spreads are kinda the point. This is a very polemic video but maybe people just have different taste?
I simply don't understand why you would want a single gigantic piece of pixel art cut in half when you could use those two pages for six times as many great pieces that are unspoiled and still plenty big enough to appreciate the details.
